You'll find that the course maker has changed completely (even if it isn't noticeable to the eye), as the tracks are now a bit shorter, and the generated maps are mostly dross compared before the update. I managed something just over 7 miles for Eifel, and almost 7.5 miles for both Toscana and Liege. Once I found what was successful to get the longer tracks, you just keep generating and they all are generally about 5.5 miles or longer...
Now it's around 6 miles for the courses post-update (I do think that record thread should start over again though if it's still going, there's no way you can get to those lengths/elevations especially on certain themes).
