LX1: Finale- X1 VS X1 + Epilogue

Oh, sorry for not responding. If I could login today, I could do it.

THe main issue is trying to get both cars in one picture!
2Player is hard to coordinate, and I dont have time the weekend of 22-24 APR
So I'll just do it myself (The pictures will only have one car at a time in them)

Chapter 5: 134 Meters Per Second
*The following may take a few days to complete, so mind the gap.

Mal and John was in their new prototype, the EB110-16 and were driving to Tokyo on an old section of highway.

Rather suprisingly, the road was completely clear, all the way to the end of the tunnel nearing Tokyo.
Ok, I think it's time to test out the car's POWER!!!
Ah, dont get so carried away. I dont want to die in a road test.
Look, John there's NOTHING HERE! What is there to hit?

Mal stamped the gas, pulling all 1000 horses to the rear wheels
About 5 seconds later, they were at the tunnel, just about to hit 300km/h.
Crikey! I'm still in 4th gear. How high did you set the gearing?
450km/h
Well, that's rather optomistic....
Suddenly, an earshattering noise comes from behind.
A black shadow passes from the right lane
then the brothers recognized it:
X1???!!!!
The EB110 quickly caught the draft of X1, just as Mal shifted into 5th
400!
The car was quickly closing in on X1.
Then they were Neck and Neck. Suprisingly, the EB maintained the speed of 400km/h
Come On! One MORE!
That additional km/h was enough to pass X1.
YES!!!! We've passed it!
Just as Mal looked behind, a sudden trance overcame him. Everything was in slow-motion, and then the voice of X1 came to him:
We will kiss, we will laugh,
we will be apart.
In what was said to be
a union of the heart
While in the trance, X1 had passed EB, going to an infinite speed
Mal! Mal!Shift! Shift to 5th! The engine's gonna blow!
Mal shifted just in time to be able to catch the draft again
Never, never,never,never.... Mal mumbled
He had an intense expression on his face, and was detirmined to pass X1 again
Then the speedometer read 470km/h
Mal! If you dont lift, we wont have a car left!
EB110 had reached the limit. However, X1 continued to accelerate.
NEVER!!!
Then, the transmission dropped.
Mal had gotten out of his trance, and saw X1 dissapear in a flash of lightning at the end of the tunnel.
The EB coasted to a stop about 500 meters from the exit ramp to Tokyo.
John sighs. I told you so....get out and help me push this thing.
The two heaved the car toward Tokyo.

Chapter 6:The Civic overnight stay

A Cloudy Day (on the verge of rain) in May 1st, 1997
Adrian Newey waits patiently for Mal and John, who arrive in an unusual fashion:

A 300HP Volvo 240 GLT Estate is seen drifting in the distance

The Brothers pull up next to Adrian, and Mal rolls the window down
So where's that "X1"? It's my turn to drive it, isn't it?
Well, the truck that was supposed to deliver it broke down, so you can expect to drive it by the 3rd...
You mean it's still in germany?!!!
Yep. And it gets even better!
**Rolls Eyes**
You've been selected to test "Gran Turismo"s First car!
John got out so that he could start talking
"Gran Turismo"....Isn't that the major sponsor for most races? They have several banners somewhere on the track.
They're planning on starting a Race Team, but their major business is Race Modifications. Hence the RM label after every model.
They want to be Very sucessful, so the way they are going to select drivers is through a one-make series featuring their RM cars.

Wait a minute! What do you mean by "test"?
The qualifier for the series is today, and is from 5PM today to 5AM tomorrow. And I've entered you both in it!
So much for testing X1....

***
(No pictures for now...!)
The three of them walk to the grid.
That one's your's says Adrian.
He points to the #1 car, which is 4th place on the grid.
Is this made of Aluminum?
Then the rain starts falling
Hurry! Get in!
After strapping in, all of the other cars start their engines.
Well, I guess I'm going first....
The 8 Civic RMs took off at Precisely 5PM
John, how long is this race?
Well, 5PM to 5AM, that's 12 Hours!
Mal steered the Civic around Dunlop Bridge, already in 1st place.
These people aren't very good; they brake far too early....
***
Three hours in. Adrian fitted a Walkie-talk as an "intercom" to keep the brothers entertained with some talk
How are you guys holding up?
Bored
Why dont you let John drive?
Mal looked to his brother, who had fallen asleep 2 hours ago.
Might as well, I need some shut-eye.
Mal pulls in to the pit lane, while the pack starts gaining on them
Huh?
WAKE UP! We're switching.
Oh, ok!
By the time they switched, the pack had basically caught up at the end of the pitlane.
A purple civic grazed John's mirror
MAL! HELP!
What?
It's X1!
John swerved to avoid X1, but the purple civic wasn't so lucky.
It was launched into the air about 30 feet, as if something exploded beneath it
The now wrecked purple RM civic landed in front of the brothers.
dammit Guys! Are you ok!?
The rest of the race was called off and the track was closed for the rest of the week.

Wow, this story is really good. It's so different and creative, the other ones don't have the brilliance that this has, spectacular work, can't wait for more 👍 👍

I should be really anal now and say that no-one knew about GT until 1998, but this is a nice update.

I should be really .... now and say that no-one knew about GT until 1998, but this is a nice update.

According to me, the GT name and logo used to belong to a Race Modification Company until:
Kaz buys it from them for Gran Turismo: The Real Driving Simulator, along with the rights for the RM models. They Resume production of the RM models(GT2), and drop it until 2007(GT5P & GT5).

Thanks for the feedback :D

I'm still trying to handle the X2010 I have. I'm actually doing very at Tokyo Route 246. I got a Hot Lap of 0:56:236.

Chapter 7:Adrian Folds

Mal is at his house changing the oil on his now 30 year old Ginetta G4, when he hears a lorry stop in front of his house. He runs outside.
Hey! What the 🤬 do you think you're doing?!

Two men run out of the lorry and open up the back. They gingerly slide an enormous wooden packaging box out onto his driveway, and drive away.
Bloody hell, thats a big box!

Mal opens the box to see that Adrian's X1 was in it.
He removes the paper packaging from the delicate bodywork.
An A4 paper is laid on the cockpit.
Dear Malcovitch Vincente,
As you can see, this is our X1 prototype project car. As of now, I must continue my F1 carrer in order to keep my financial sanity. In short, I am folding from this project.
Adrian Newey
P.S. Dont tell anyone else but John about X1. If I were you, I would haul that into your garage before someone sees it!
*Look at the back

Mal turns Adrian's letter around.
If you were wondering, you can drive this on the street! Just enter this into the suspension calculator behind the Tachometer screen:
Ride height:+10/+10
13.5/13.5
7/7
7/7
1/2

***
Ok...
Mal gets in, and pushes the ignition button under the seat.
The Electronic HUD turns on and says:
I forgot to tell you; there's no fuel! Adrian
Damn YOU ADRIAN!!!
Mal Hastily pushes X1 into his garage.

There's no point in taking that thing to a petrol station, it drinks petrol like Charlie Sheen snorts crack.

Chapter 7:The X1 Road Test

After walking the entirety of the Mulsanne straight and back for 100L of 98 octane petrol, Mal finally got X1 running.
Code:

Tyre wear...83%...382km
Ready for ignition. Pull both paddle shifters for 2 seconds for ignition.
Press Right button under seat for SUSPENSION/DOWNFORCE(MANUAL)
Press Middle button under seat for AUTO STREET SETTING(SPEED)
Press Left button under seat for Track(Handling)-###Default
Well, thats rather straightfoward...
He presses the middle button under the seat.
X1 rises 3cm and Mal hears a beep.
Code:
AUTO STREET setting selected.
Following suspension changes made:
RH-+3/+3
SR-NA
BO-NA
RB-NA
AR-[-1]/[-1]
CM-0.0/0.0
TO-0.0/-0.10
DWN-50/50
Ok...Now for ignition.
He pulls both paddles for 2 seconds.
The roar of a 1500hp V6 rattles everything in Mal's 50m/50m Garage
Code:
Ignition starting...
Engine started.
Predicted top speed:507KM/H
Enjoy your ride! -Adrian
Jesùs Aćhristà Adrian! I thought you gave up!
Mal Revved the engine. Several air filters were shook out of their shelves.
Almost miraculously, the very low X1 made it off of the steep curb of Mal's driveway, and headed off into Route 7.

***
OK, R5 merge to R7...
Mal carefully cruises Route 5 until he sees Route 7, the straightest Roadway in Europe.
Hehe...Full throttle it is!!!
1500hp pulled with ferocious G-force, blurring his vision.
By the time the acceleration had stopped, Mal was going 487km/h.
Well! Max speed is only 487?!
Mal saw a White/blue Peugeot 405 parked at the side of the road.
Suddenly, blue and red lights swiveled atop the 405.
Rozzers! I guess I'll...
He looks down at the HUD:
Code:
[CENTER]:7:
487km/h
18000RPM
Max reves reached
Hold Shift up for 2 seconds to engage 8thOVR mode[/CENTER]
...Pull 8th gear!
Mal did so, and heard the engine die.
WHAT!!? NOOO! NOT NOW!
Mal's X1 coasted to a stop about halfway through a tunnel.
Code:
Err..............
[COLOR="Red"]Command 8THOVR not recognized.
Manual Reboot needed to proceed...
Open cockpit latch to power down...[/COLOR]
Eventually, the 405 police car caught up.
The Officer stepped out.
Excusez-moi monsieur, vous étiez l'accélération 387 kilomètres par heure au cours de la limite de vitesse. Vous allez maintenant être facturé € 1 935 pour excès de vitesse ....
DAMN!!DAMN!!DAMN!!

What are the chances that Adrian forgot to un-program 8th gear by accident?

The fact is, as everyone knows, 8th gear doesnt exist. He meant for 8th to be in there for a top speed of 8xxkm/h, but never put it in.

True, But that still doesn't answer my question though. Also, I'm suprised the police officer even bothered to give chase.

That's unfortunate. I hope the X2010 doesn't get impounded.

Chapter 7.5:Ensemble Garage

John, being fed up with eating German shnitzel for 23 years, decides to leave the fabled Nurburgring. He went to Tokyo, near Route 5.

His original garage was beneath the Ensemble, in the parking area. John pulled up to his old garage to see it occupied by someone. The door was open, and there was a sign that read:ブルー. The Garage was the size John remembered it: about 30x125m. There were three lifts, two of which housed an Azure blue FC-3S, and a Deep blue Evo 8 'Makinen' version. The third one had what appeared to be a light blue kei-car. A mid-20s man was replacing the brakes, swapping the standard disks for Reinforced carbon ones.

John walks inside to investigate.
Hey!
What!!? Who are you?
He begins to approach John with a wrench in one hand and a brake disk in the other.
Wait! Dont hurt me!
Waiiiiiit....I know you! you're John!
God, I was waiting for you to say that!
The two men shake hands.
The owner of the garage was Takashi Okazakawa, as said by the sowed on name on his oil-stained t-shirt.
The kei-car was now shown to be a light blue Daihatsu Mira TR-XX.
After helping Takashi put the brakes and semi-slick tyres on, he opened the hood.
Hmph, quite an-
Then John sees the engine.
Takashi had somehow gotten a hold of a twin-turbocharged version of the Mira, and had fitted a third turbo to the center. The boost was split from the third turbo to the two other ones, resulting in 200hp.
-Amazing car! Did you make this yourself?
Yep. Got bored of heavy cars, so I decided to tune a kei car.
Bored? That FC could've gotten at least 350hp!
In a car thats 1000kg? Not good enough. My Evo 8 seemed a slightly better success, I got 450hp...
Yeah, The Evo 8 is a stable car...
The two walk over to the Evo
I'm thinking of using the Evo for cabbing...
Really?! Dont you think that'll be a bit of a fast ride? The goal of cabbing is to prolonge the ride to get the max ammount of money for your fare...
I'm a simple man. All I want is to make the perfect car. I dont need fancy things.

Now. Which one do you want a ride in?
You're driving!?!??
