LX1: Finale- X1 VS X1 + Epilogue

Chapter 8: Cuore Bumper$ are Cheaper

I'll take er, I mean lets take the Mira.
Ok. I'll fill it up with gas first.

John walks around to the front of the Mira to see something shocking.
The front badge that would say MIRA said CUORE instead. The bumper also didn't fit completely on the Mira's chassis.
Um...Takashi?
What? he yells from a far corner of the garage.
The front of your Mira says CUORE!
Oh, that. That's just a replacement bumper because the previous owner...It's a long story. I'll tell you later.

Inside of the Mira, there was basically no interior. It was a mess of wires held together only by more wire wrapped around it.
There were two gauges behind the Carbon-fibre Sparco wheel: Speed and Revs. The gauges were held in place by duct tape and more wire.

Takashi then emerges with an enourmous gas drum on wheels.
You're quite a handyman with your interior. Where did it go?
Interior? Interior is just added weight! Don't need it.
John then spies a red switch guard with a note saying:
30秒最大。推定最大速度:
362キロの時間
- RGO

What's RGO?
A Wangan tuning company that specializes in anti-lag systems in turbocharged cars. They installed my 'secret weapon'.
And that is?...
Oh, you'll see soon enough....!
***
The Mira pulls out of the alleyway where the garage is located.I think I'll take a shortcut!
Takashi steers the Mira to a dark, open lot.
He makes a sharp right, which reveals the entrance to a highway. Route 7.Everybody takes the short route to the 1km straight on the route, which doesnt give time for the tyres to warm up.
A sharp 1.5-G turn nearly rolls the Mira, the left tyres screeching from the g-force.
John, being a passenger, begins to mentally critique the Mira.(Hmm...This is quite like my Mini Marcos. 200hp and very light. This seems to pull more power than 200 though...)
You still haven't told me what that switch does.

I'll show you on the straight.
The corners were coming fast, and the Mira was hugging the apex of every turn.
The note on the switch comes off, revealing a boost meter. The max pressure read 50 bar.
Eh, how are you expecting to get 50 bar from-
The Mira had gone through the tunnel, and the straight was in sight.OK! Are you Ready!
He flips the switch.
A sudden, extreme surge of power immediately redlines the 670cc engine.
He shifts to 4th, which redlines in a full second. The Mira was hitting 275km/h only a few seconds after hitting the straight.
See, your'e not really a tuner until you can 321 on this straight!
He shifts again into 5th, now going 335km/h
Hey! Were running out of straight here! you better-
The acceleration finally stops. The Mira is going 385km/h.
BRAKE!!!!
Takashi brakes, but not on time.
The Mira hits the wall hard, but the only damage sustained was scraped front quarter panals and a missing bumper.
Yeah! The Overboost was sucessful! How'd you-
He looks over to John, which seems not to have even broken a sweat.
I've gone faster, but good job.
John gets out, and sees the Cuore bumper has fallen off.
Hey! Do you have that Mira bumper somewhere?
Yeah, let me go and get it...
Takashi then emerges with what appears to be a large piece of carbon fibre, in addition to the bumper.
Ha! An interior?!
Yes, I can admit that the mess of wires is begining to look ugly, so I made a dashboard. But lets get this bumper on first.
After getting the bumper on, Takashi goes in the Mira and rips the overboost switch out. He also rips the boost gauge out as well.
That overboost is gonna kill someone someday. Its best to take it out now.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you-

Why you chose a Cuore bumper?
Yeah. Its because Cuore Bumper$ are Cheaper!

The future of my story...?

The two old men assembling the car are Mal and John.
They are also the two test drivers in this video.
Near the end, a 3rd R appears. Perhaps X1 Really Exists?

Chapter 8.5: Courage

La Sarthe, 2000
After the disastrous 8th gear test, Mal decides to bring the X1 to his home circuit, :La Sarthe. Adrian, in a last act of kindness before resuming his F1 Directing career, gave Mal the custom made 8th gear. He did not, however, know the top speed of the car...

Mal looks out over the Mulsanne, the 5KM. Watching the traffic go by.
Mulsanne_Le_Mans.jpg

He then remembers his terrifying first experience with X1.

God. 400km/h seemed so fast...
He remembers X1 passing his cobra, and him passing X1.
How He would hear the voice of X1, almost like a chant.
The speed was both thrilling and paralyzing.

He then realized that he had to yet faster in his X1, to an unknown speed.
The very thought of it brought shivers to his spine: over 300 miles per hour.
