Just tried the M4 in the seasonal events and parts of the track are a complete white out in cockpit view so I tried bumper cam and thats not much better.

Whats wrong with PD it feels like its bug after bug.

It's a glitch, they happen in big games all the time, Does it happen all the time you try this car and track combo?

I believe OP is referring to the brightness of the track and not a completely white screen.
Willow Springs is located in an area with very little vegetation, and and abundance of shiny reflective rock. The ambient light in an arid landscape is incredibly high, GT6 has captured this pretty well. Lots of sun, no vegetation, It gets really ******* bright.

Try changing Exposure on the in game menu, I usually run about -3 @ Willow

-3 being like a pair of RayBan Wayfarers.
(Other brands of sunglasses are available)

On a serious note, it is fun to mess about with the brightness settings just for a bit of variety on tracks. Jack Rabbit Springs is a 24 hour track - The rising sun low on the horizon is eye wateringly bright.

Seriously?! Screen brightness is now a game developer's fault that people can't fix on their own?!

I noticed when playing with the M4 at willow springs that my chair was really uncomfortable, and it was getting warm but the fan in my room was turned off. Whats wrong with PD it feels like its bug after bug.

This thread is useless worthless with out pictures
I haven't seen a TTIWWOP in ages!!!

Here, this happened to me at Daytona Road, twice. It's similar to what the OP is describing. :)

Well first we need to establish if this is a missing textures problem or a too bright settings on the tv problem?

Since I have an almost perfectly calibrated tv and had to bump my exposure in the game to like +4 from day one since the cockpit view is too dark otherwise, and I still dont have any problems with white out streets, but I heard of other people complaining about it on this track.
I would say that the problem is too bright settings on your tvs!
Please calibrate your tvs and it should all be fine. Do note touch the ingame exposure until you know the tv has correct brightness and contrast.
Good luck!

I haven't tried this race yet but I agree with the OP. With the time change it's very hard to see at willow springs at certain times. It's maybe the same thing that happens at high speed ring when you exit out of the tunnel. It's been like that since GT5 and very annoying. Some people may not notice it as much with different settings on TV and PS3,but I don't think it's all settings.

I only have to assume we are talking about coming out of the second corner and its super bright. Since the OP appently has never driven in a desert before you may not be aware but this is actually rediculously accurate, in fact it is probably the closest thing to reality in the whole game. Trust me I have to do this on a semi daily basis driving home from work. And there is a really easy fix for it. Don't 🤬 about it and do another event.

Willow looked a lot better for me after the update.. no glaring white road when driving into the sun as before. I thought it looked pretty realistic before though.. But I use polarized sunglasses in the real world, and after the update, it seems like that's what PD tried to simulate.. the glare is much reduced now..

Once I saw that "track texture not loading" issue on Nurburgring after the first corner.. but that happened once or twice in Gt5 too, but only once or twice.

So its our job to keep changing the brightness for individual tracks?
PD shouldn't have set correct levels for their own game?

More evidence of PD's "that'll do" attitude lately.

You PD apologists get more deluded everyday!

Disc or Digital version?

If its the disc version, it might be a sign that your BluRay laser is starting to wear out and has troubles reading the second layer of the disc. Happened to me to the point where tracks didn't load at all. I went ahead and got a new BR laser for my PS3, now missing track only occurs for a short second during loading sequences.

Obviously this relates to the sun reflecting off the rocks and track surface, as I had the same issue but resolved it with a combination of lowering the brightness and learning the track layout!

I actually had the same problem on my drive to work the other morning, low sun and damp road combining to make seeing the road extremely difficult, but did I complain to someone about that? No, I reduced the brightness by putting on my sunglasses. Same theory applies.

Reminds me of Stunt car racer on the Amiga 500.
That game was the best! Stunt car racer had better engine sounds though.

The white out thing though is really just worse with the brightness up, but it is fairly realistic and good fun I think.

GT heavily streams from multiple sources at once > hd and bR

What I see are symptoms of bR drive wearing off (or defective bR disc) ,so game fail to load (stream) textures in time.

In case you have download HD edition , it's just sign game cannot load textures in time > hd is too slow / too fragmented or GT simply don't run good from hd.

In case of original OP complaint over brightness > so you have your tv professionaly calibrated and GT still fail to look good (too dark/bright) ? Oh yeah , blame it on PD :D

This should be a feature...
Changing the visor on your helmet resulting in adjusted brightness when driving in cockpit view.

I don't think so at all because my game runs from a HD (downloaded version)... and that exact same thing happened once in a while on the exact same part of Nuburgring in GT5 which was using the disc, not download version.

Plus I have relatively fast 500GB WD Black edition 7200 rpm, 32MB cache SATA 6 HD in there.

Therefore I think it's just bug unrelated to HD speed.
