Out of the 6.3 million ish copies on the market, I think you find most don`t players don't care and are happy with the regular updates even the 1.07 going by what I have read on facebook and twitter, even on here its only the minority.

Well,as much as I'd like to race online,I really like to collect cars too. And the rewards in GT5 are pitiful to say the least. I would say that in my case collecting most of the cars is some achievement too. 'Course,everyone's entitled to their own opinion. In any case,this update has been kinda underwhelming for me. Cheers.

I'm not. Couldn't care less about trading 1 million credit plus cars or duping. I just want them to be more punctual about seasonal events.
 
Wow, PD just add a great patch in 1.06, and because people cant trade cars in 1.07 they need to bitch about it?

Seriously, obviously most of the people here come from a weak background of gaming. Patches like 1.06 are a rarity for gaming companies nowadays, you should be greatful instead of having a royal bitchfest about an aspect you dont like.

Same as me m8, i like to collect the cars as well, and I agree the payouts are some what 3/10 with the price of some of the cars, but unlike you I would sooner have more races and tracks like in GT4 and a much longer career level in which I could not only save the winnings to buy my own cars I wanted but also enjoy the game more 👍

The only real people I see this update upsetting are the folk that want to get more out then they are willing to put in.
 
Im playing GTA4 in PC while Bob make some money, thats count?
 
To anyone thats annoyed they cant trade/dupe cars over 1 mill credits, trade GT5 in for another game for your PS3 console where u CAN dupe and trade cars. Any suggestions as to what game exactly please enlighten us.

I'd join you in boycotting, but I'm afraid I enjoy playing the game too much to stop for a week.

The trading limit pisses me off aswell, I enjoyed trading, collecting and having multiples of my fave cars (setup for different tracks)

Now it's pretty much impossible. IMO PD didn't need to put a cr limit on trades. The limit on 1 car per day is good enough.

Do you think you can get enough people to stop playing for a week?
Lets say you get 10.000 people (which is 100 times more then you will actually get), PD doesn't even notice such a small difference. I think you need at least 250.000 people before PD will notice it.
And you're not going to get 250.000 people because your 'refusal to play' doesn't make any sense. Just go and enjoy the game without the trading

Its funny you know I had this last night with my 3 year old

Straight up we were playing a game of tele tubbys and he wanted la la I think hes called anyways I got " I want I want I want I want and if I dont get Im not playing any more" really made me laught as I thought of you lot on here

But then he is only 3 ;-)

Precisely what I was saying! If there were more tracks and more money nobody would waste time duping cars. Which would be a win-win situation.Anyways,lets hope for better updates and layoff the flame wars.

1 I agree on grinding is stupid, nobody wants to grind in any game, unless it's called WoW where you know you have to do it.

2 I think we have a very small problem in the gifting/trading thing. The other day there were some sick boy who wanted to sell his duping accounts for real money - that's exactly why this limited is being implemented: so that no one is selling "GT5 cars" for real money.

3 In GT4 you had many more events and grinding was only needed when you had already won all of these events as I remember. In GT5 the few events have made grinding happen way too early, so even if we get more events now it's too late to save the game.

So, what is the only solution? Add more credits to the game and the ability to have multiple saved setups for your cars - that'll mean less grinding and no "I need more cars for online racing too"-problems. We need these features and then we need a proper-working GT5 online feature if this game needs to live long enough.

A NO PLAY WEEK is overreacting a bit, isn't it? PD is maing sure nobody earns money on their product.
 
They gave me a one week warning so I could get my cars back from friends. I'm happy. Besides, getting the small percent of players that are also members of gtplanet and also upset at the update to stop playing for a week would put hardly a dent in the GT server traffic numbers.

I agree. All of you upset with the 1.07 patch should stop playing. Why wait? START IMMEDIATELY!!!

This is very true, and is precisely why I didn't give them, my money. I bought it used, so PD don't get a penny, which is exactly what they deserve.

But here's a better idea, disconnect your PS3 while you play. That way, you can still carry on playing, but they will get the impression that people aren't playing. :sly:
 
I e-mailed PD about this 'strike' of sorts.....


...They said they'll fix everything.


TS just needs to let them know what specific features he wants in his version.

If you really want to show PD why are you waiting til the 3rd of March ? Just get on with it ! Do it now !! But In my opinion it won't make a jot of difference , it would if the sales of GT6 were to be affected ! But they won't be, GT players buy the game to play not trade.
 
What if PD didn't even inculde the abillity to trade in the first place?

(I'm not defending PD, I have gripes with GT just like the next guy/girl, but at the end of the day, IT'S JUST A GAME)
 
ok their not taking away trades in general, just making a cap, i for one am against the 1.07 patch but not because of the "1 million trade restriction" im sure somehow, someway, someone will find away around it, just give it time, what im pissed about is that there is a bug in the update that freezes your game and you cant do anything about it and if you send PD an email, they have the "wait and see" kind of attitude, so what am i to do for the mean time? i hate going in lobbies because most everyone in there sounds like a little 12 year old and when you bring out a car they like and they want it, they bout nearly piss their pants, and if they make an offer that you dont want, they get pissed and try to cuss you out, or, and im not trying to say this is all, but i join a room and theres one canadian in an X1 and he goes around hitting everyone in the room, getting in their way

I agree. I am really tired of this whole trading system. Im done with mass trading maybe like a few trades a month if that. Spend more time playing the game until you get bored and buy Socom 4, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Twisted Metal, Killzone 3, Resistance. GT5 will just pass over if it already hasnt
