It is legal to sell codes but not the cars themselves. There should be more emphasis on removing selling the cars.

The problem with this is many people clicked on that stealth car add on the top of the page. This brought them to eBay where they found people selling cars. Its not entirely GTPlanet's fault, but selling cars on ebay (legit or not) is advertised on this page.

What if I have more than 1 friend who wants to gift me a car? Whats so wrong about helping your friends and keeping a car for yourself? Why isnt there more cash given for winning races? Why is "grinding" the norm? How come I wasnt told to stock up on rubberbands to "play" this game?
If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. I have seen a lot of negative comments in this thread, and i expected that. But, if you dont have a solution to the 1.07 patch then why post here? Why try to shoot down an idea that has been nothing less than constructive?

If you dont like my idea, who said you had to follow it?

If you are sugesting a mass "strike" on playing Gt5, then remember this:
They Have your 🤬 Money already! They dont need to do anything. For all we know, they can do anything with the game since they made it:sly:

It's like a strike on going to school; It only works with REAL JOBS ONLY!!!

Way to clog up the thread by repeating what has already been said.

Do you think they will make GT6?
If yes, do you think they will sell more copies if they displease GT5 users?

I see, by not playing the game, your going to enjoy playing the game...

There is so much immature reaction to these patches, that if you could build some giant immature collecting machine and just suck up all the stupidity that swirls around this forum, you could then pump the stupidity into some giant retarded storage tank where is would then be pumped via a pipeline to an idiot processing factory where it would extrude the sissy and the crybaby and manufacturer it into solid blocks of irony and barrels of pathetic. Those would be trucked to another facility where they are melted down into fruitless and goofy where it would then be wirelessly transmitted via tower to an orbiting satalite and then beamed back into your whiny head....either way, PD wont care :)

I had to look up obstreperous before I responded lol but yeah I agree. It's only a game and even though the trade restrictions don't really affect me all that much, I can see how someone who duped and was a regular trader on the marketplace might be a little mad because as far as I could see, cars under a million dollars weren't traded all that often. It seems that you have people who play the game to race and then there are people who who want to trade all day long.

I was duped into buying this game. It wont happen again.
I dont even trade that often. Its only to friends I know from work who bought the game after me and im trying to help them out. Come to think of it, ive never done a trade. Ive just given cars to friends I know. I love to race, but I cant see myself going around a track over and over and over just to to get a million bucks so I can buy a "mid" level car; or strap a rubber band on my controller. It would take me almost a month of only playing this game to save up 20 million!! I have other games I like to play not to mention a job and family. So, shall I quit my life and do nothing but play this game just to get a few cars I really want?

If you are a real die hard racing fan and you have no life and no other games to play, then this game is for you.
If you are the average joe with a life, then this game just duped you.

All that to say whats already been said? Whos head?

I'll support no play week. I was just going to go offline when I play, but that sounds just as good to do that for a week, and then go no online. I figure I would check out here every so often to see the updates, but I'm doubtful I will be wasting my time to update for a while.

I've played every day I could since release, and I'm not planning on stopping.
Besides, I'm happy with the update, it adds some value back to cars, even though it's too late to save it :(.....

I still fail to see how NOT being able to trade cars of high "value" ADDS to their value. If anything, those cars are now worth zero-point-s**t. Unless you're speaking of the "value" of having bought the game before March 3rd...

My bet is that most of the X2010s around, even amongst the so-called "elite", weren't "earned", either - unless you consider stumbling your way through B-spec level 35 to be "earning" something. I've got several X2010s now, all of them "legit" - I won one for hitting L35 B-spec, then bought others at 20,000,000 each, and traded a red one for a carbon Prototype.

But I've never even bronzed any of the Vettel challenges. So how did I "earn" them, other than grinding (heck, I didn't even grind - I had my Bobs do it!)?

Is this consturctive or "civil" or just plain harassment? Im not sure which.

None of the above since it wasn't actually directed at you.

By the way, 'consturctive' is really spelled 'constructive,' and 'Im' should be with an apostrophe. That's constructive for you.

Thanks. I'm still here. Then who was it directed at? It still sounds like harassment to me and you might be getting a reply form the mods soon.

 i haven't "really" played the game the last 2 weeks. Started the game only for trading, a-spec auto pilot or remote races.

So there is no change for me. Nearly 0 left to do (except 24 hr races, amg challenge gold, vettel challenge & grand tour eiger nordwand gold).

I LOL'd

Also want to add that this restriction is necessary as morons insist on selling duplicated x2010's and others on ebay and profiting from PD's hard work.

See, I thought you had gone away since your telling off, so I was kindly informing the good GTers that you would not be coming back (however, I was wrong). Didn't I just say that it wasn't aimed at you? I'm beginning to get the feeling that I need to repeat everything to you.

Guys, just a heads up, I don't expect to see Krazy back here again. He's just got a warning from the mods.

If this isn't harassment or just plain rude I don't know what is.
Does this sound familiar Vinny -

Please title your thread as a question so it will be easy for others to know what you're asking. Do not be rude to anyone who asks a question you feel is obvious or stupid - if you don't want to help them, don't harass them or complain - just move along. Hopefully, we will be able to create a deep and interactive archive of information about the game that we all will be able to draw upon. Enjoy, guys!

That's not rude or harassing. Get over yourself.

I was trying to politely tell you this, so I shall do so again:

I was telling other people (not you) to not bother replying to the thread. I was trying to save them the time since I thought (but evidently was mistaken) that you would not be coming back. In no way was it rude, an insult, or a jab, but rather a heads up to everyone else.

If anything, what you are doing is in no way conducive towards helping other people or building a "interactive archive of information." Why are you trying (and failing) to attack me again?

Don't worry, Krazy - by constantly replying on this thread, all these people are helping keep it near the top of the "active" threads list on the front page! They're really doing you a favor by giving you free advertising and free "bumps" for your idea.

:)

I don't think i've failed. but, back to the thread
NO PLAY WEEK March 3rd.

So you admit to attacking me?

Alright, back to the issue on hand. The point is that you are one in 6.3 million. Even if you get 10, or 100, or 1,000, or even 100,000 people to go with your idea, you won't make a difference.
Also, you have to look at this with impact calculus in mind, and obviously the Pros of the patch outweigh the Cons (they have been listed throughout the post, and I do not feel the need to re-list them all again).

Be our hero, and save us from the big, bad patch!

By all means, don't play for a week. You will effectively augment the boycott by not posting at GTPlanet for the same period of time. Looking forward to hearing the results!
