FYI, the internet has reported that the Wii U's wireless is apparently faster than the Wii LAN Adapter, if you were considering getting one of those. It's better for stability (if you're having issues), but not for speed. Anyway, I would sooner blame Nintendo's struggling infrastructure for slow updates. Maybe this last update was monstrous, but my ~2GB download of Wind Waker HD seemed to go quickly by comparison.

I will add you to my friends list after I return from taking my avatar for a walk. :)

Yea I did the Windwaker install right after and it went much much faster. Added a bunch of friends 👍

Sorry guys, had unforeseen event to attend tonight. That's why I haven't been able to play. :(
 
I did a bit of TT and I can't beat @Classic time on Rainbow Road or my own time at N64 Rainbow Road. I start good but both ghosts decide to be Chuck Norris at the end :lol:.

I finally beat my N64 RR time though I really sucked in the final section compared to my other one (0.8 seconds behind on the final section). Though I think that is because I used all my mushrooms on the final section unlike my new time where I used 1 in every section.

I can't even stay on the track on the Wii U Rainbow Road. They should have brought back the Rainbow Road from MKDD.

MKDD RR was my favourite. I think they bringing back Rainbow Roads in order so Rainbow Road from the GBA Mario Kart is next.
 
Rainbow Road U is probably my best track oddly enough. :lol: Don't think I've finished below second there online!

If TT tell me something then N64 Rainbow Road is my best track. Which is ironic because I hated the original version completely. I got 1:28:028, around 8 seconds shy of the highest ghost I can download and I didn't use Fire hopping.

You were really tough to beat at Wii U Rainbow Road.

Only just. I used 1 Mushroom in the 1st lap and 2 Mushrooms in the final lap. I also always take the right path where the path splits.
 
It might take me a lot of tries to beat your new time though. It took me over 10 tries to beat your original.

@Classic your turn. You can also try my N64 RR record if you like.

Nintendo is still advertising the game at full throttle! I just saw the Piranha Plant ad during the NASCAR race. It caught me off guard. :lol:

Just read about gold items in MK8.

10,000 coins for a gold glider, really? REALLY?

How do I know when I beat a time trial ghost of one of the Staff Ghosts, do I DL one of their ghosts?

The gold kart shouldn't be too difficult. Getting 1 star for each of the 150cc GP's regular and mirror mode.

@Jump_Ace All the staff time trials are pre-loaded onto the game, when you go into the Time trial mode, you will already see one ghost on the graph, click 'Race against ghost' and then beat the Nintendo ghost!

@Wolfe I can't find your N64 RR time but something tells me, you dominated my time :lol:.

Soon, you guys will be picking on my SNES Donut Plains 3 and Mario Kart Stadium times, I worked hard on. I feel so weak here :lol:.

@Classic I have a little GTP online idea in the Organization conversation.
 
I strictly stay to Rainbow Road.:crazy:

Was on track for a 42 second lap and fell off the edge. :lol:
