**warning***

The forced update that was releasd yesterday on 4/11/12 might cause your game to freeze when you get to the loading menu.

You might also start seeing enemies disappear or not fall from the spawn points in the reactor base level. Or worse yet, the game will freeze during the co-op horde mode. Sometimes even on the extraction wave. :ouch:

Assuming anyone is still around here, just had an idea pop into my head:

I'm considering doing a Mass Effect 3 Music Video, which will center around the ending using this song:

Having looked at all the possible endings, I'm looking at perhaps making up my own ending using them. What do you guys think?

Edit: While you think about that, more demonization from me:

I just started 3.

Completed 2 this week after a pause.

Honestly though, I am a bit disappointed.

Playing as FemShepard since Mass Effect 1, import caracter in every game.
Just found out that fem Shepard can't romantise with all the ladies.
WTF, big pubicity for same sex relations, but it is very limited.
But well, better that option then me sucking at seducting virtual Miranda

And my FemShep is hot, so I have something to watch all along :D

Eager to get to the underwhelming end, which i still don't know 👍

It may be free, but for me ME3 is all about the single player experience. I hope they get around to releasing the extended cut soon. I have had the last part of ME3 on hold for ages now.

Me too. I've started another playtrough of Fallout 3 to keep me busy in the meantime.

Is there any news on when the Extended Cut might be surfacing?

*Lifts head up from monitor and peers out of window

Yep, looks like summer here, albiet a bit rainy. Maybe they are going by Australian summer.

More or less the same here a bit cold and more rainy. Summer needs to hurry up, because this weather is

I have had a LOT more fun with the 4 player co-op horde mode. The campaign was a bit disappointing to me. In fact I have been struggling to play through the campaign a 2nd time. Just feels too much like a grind. Luckily this game has the 4 player co-op horde mode or I would have traded it in a long time ago.

Extended cut will be released on the following dates:
North America - 26th of June
Europe - 4th of July

I finally had a chance to play through the campaign again and watched all of the extended cut endings. They are EXCELLENT!!!!! Huge improvement with the new endings. 👍
I have said it many times, there will be another game with Shepard for sure. Probably on the next consoles

July 17th another FREE dlc map pack for the co-op horde mode!!!

Mass Effect Trilogy Edition

Gamrreview
The Mass Effect trilogy of sci-fi RPGs came to an end this March with Mass Effect 3, the final chapter in the story of Commander Shepard. Today, BioWare's parent company EA announced for the first time a single collection containing all three games and exclusive artwork, for just the $60 typically charged for a single new game: the Mass Effect Trilogy Edition.

The trilogy edition is available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and marks the first time that the original Mass Effect will be available on PS3. The PS3 version of Mass Effect will also be available as a separate download from the PlayStation Store for those PS3 gamers who already own ME2 (ported to PS3 a year after its initial launch) and ME3 (available from launch on PS3). The release of a PS3 version of the game had previously been prevented by an exclusivity agreement with Microsoft. It is not known how BioWare is able to release a PS3 version despite this agreement.

Mass Effect Trilogy's included DLC detailed

Shacknews
BioWare's official site details the differences between the various editions. The Xbox 360 version of the Trilogy will include Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network, which unlocks the Normandy Crash Site, various weapons and armors, and DLC character Zaeed. Mass Effect 3's Online Pass is also included in the box. Essentially, everything included from the original retail releases of the three games has been replicated in this collection.

The PC version of the Trilogy will include everything the Xbox 360 version has, but also adds Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station for the original game. (Bring Down the Sky was released as a free download, but the latter is still available for $5.)

Information on PS3 DLC will be "available soon," as that version of the game is coming after the PC and Xbox 360's November 6th release.

Mass Effect 1 PS3 details

Gaming Everything
Mass Effect external producer Ryan Warden has been answering a slew of questions about the recently announced Mass Effect Trilogy Compilation on Twitter. Among his comments are details concerning ME1 on the PlayStation 3, which will be making its debut on the console for the first time.

- No plans to release Mass Effect 1 physically on PS3 as a standalone title
- Edge of Reality is working closely with BioWare on the title (Dragon Age: Origins console developer)
- “Performance feels really good overall”
- The team wants to retain the Mass Effect 1 experience while making some targeted fixes
- Game features improved texture popping and better performance on PS3
- Uses the Mass Effect 1 engine with Mass Effect 2 PS3 touch-ups
- These improvements are specific to the PS3 (360 won’t get the performance upgrades)

Mass Effect Trilogy Compilation is without a release date on the PS3 currently. The package is set for launch on the Xbox 360 and PC on November 6.

3 discs for PS3.

Original Mass Effect coming to PSN as stand alone title for $14.99

Bioware
Yes, the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone digital title through the PlayStation Network for $14.99. It will release the same day as the Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3.

I just got drunk at Purgatory and...I love that you wake up next to Aria T'Loak and she's just glaring at you as if she owns you. That's hilarious.

^ Yes thats hilarious for sure. Do it again and you wake up somewhere else which is even more funny.

For those that havent played the co-op horde mode in a while, it has changed a LOT! New enemies, characters, weapons, and new maps. All FREE!!! Now they reward you for full extraction with money. There are also new points you can earn with every single weapon and power in the game. They will show up as a gold ribbon once you unlock them. If you get enough, you get a huge banner in the co-op mode. I have about 180 gold points so far. You can check your progress in the "challenges" mode in the co-op mode.

I beat the game and...yeah, the ending is kinda stupid and there's a lot of weird randomness. Now, I'm playing through again with the extended version. But...there's a lot of explaining to do.

As for the continuation of the series there are three things I'd like to see from the ME universe:

1. Selectable Races. It'd be fun to play as a turian, acari or some other race, I think.
2. Alliance Academy. I think a prequel could feature Shepard as he/she goes through the Alliance academy. And there's plenty of story before the ME events to touch on. Like it'd be cool to see just how the the Alliance joined the council and live the events on Eden Prime.
3. If they do a sequel...explain WTF just happened.

Like if humans crash landed a spaceship, with aliens on board, why do they seem so ignorant about what's beyond the stars? Why did Joker take a mass relay anywhere? That just looks like he was in the middle of running away from the fight when the stuff hit the fan. If femshep had lesbian relations, how does she have offspring? I mean, I can understand if she slept with Liara...but...my femshep slept with Treynor...then again, Treynor did want to have a couple kids...still. Did she sleep with Joker? Did she adopt? I don't understand. Why on earth did I play through three games, and make a ton of decisions that apparently have no barring on the final outcome of the game? It's not really a bad ending...it's just a generic ending, which is stupid for a game that let's you make so many decisions. I really wanted to start a life with Liara...but...that's not gonna happen because whichever decision you make at the end, Shepard dies...which, to me, is kinda stupid. The crucible is essentially a Halo...only instead of wiping out all sentiant life, it wipes out all synthetic life...That's the other thing that bugged me about this series. They essentially copied the Halo storyline with some very minor changes. I mean, Master Chief lived at the end of Halo 3. I mean, why not have the "catilyst" stay the freakin' Citidel. Why not have the lifeform reward Shepard for her selfless act by not only destroying the reapers but giving her life back. I mean, the thing basically said, "Well, you kinda ruined the cycle, so I'm going let you choose what to do, but you'll die, because you're a jerk."

I also love how the guy with brittle bone disease somehow survived a massive crash landing. The person who fought through hell, saved the universe and all that BS dies at the end, but Seth Green's wussy, wise-ass character with the brittle bones someone survives? Really? I mean, I like Seth Green, too, but I'd have killed him off in the crash, at least.

Whatevs. All I know, is, if there's a sequel...we need answers.

I am sure we will see some prequals before we see any sequals. ME4 wont show up until the next consoles are released. And there will be another game with Sheppard for sure despite what people think about the endings.

Some of the "choices" the game decides for default Shepard in ME3 are just stupid. Like, Wrex is dead and Wreav is in his place. Of course, Wreav is an arrogant jerk who basically wants to take over the universe, and thus, wants the genophage fixed so he can be the one to who fixed it and become leader of his people. It also randomly assumes Jack died. Why? Thane I can understand 'cause he was sick and dying and it's been six months since ME2 stuffs...but, why does Jack have to die?

It's so weird. I believe, if you don't import a save, they should let you do the graphic novel thing like in the Playstation version of ME2 so you can make decisions. Or maybe toggle decisions from a drop down or something. It's just so weird some of the things BioWare decided on for default.
