finally another rx enthusiest! and That is what i have been tryin to say all along...they are two very different cars....you got to respect difference an not bash it! 👍 True car lovers respect other cars....boy racers diss em...who are you?

I never Dissed any of the cars performances, I said there pretty much the same. I like the 350Z because I like the looks, everyone has a different taste.

FO SHo me too....but he said it couldn't b done....well it has and ppl puttin down power in the 8....but yeah i wouldn't want to put it on the 8 unless it was a mazdaspeed kit...cause the renisis was meant to be an NA rotary....we shall see if they continue the pursuit onthe supercharger...i heard no turbo due to emissions...have you seen the mazdaspeed project car....supposedly puttin 300 hp down with super...I too am an enthusiast thus the respect for both cars. 👍

I think PD made the rx-8 more powerful than it actually is so it could keep up with the 350z,skylines,Evos etc in the game. It's cool though I can turn the power down to around 238hp and increase the weight a little in Arcade mode to match the USDM specs. Takes forever to reach the redline!

I call B.S. ZeratulSG. How could a car that runs high 14.6+s beat a 13.8 sec car. Especially to achieve the 14.6 you need a high rpm clutch drop. This means more driver error. The Z is easy to launch with TCS and 2k launches. That is too far of a difference for driver to driver race. You never beat a 350z so why say this?

You are talking about 1/4 mile time, they are talking about overall track performance. Arugement is that RX8 out perform 350Z on cornering and handling.

Between the acceleration, braking, and similar HANDLING (slolom) the 350Z is a clear winner on the track. Off the track is a different story and depends on the needs of the driver. On one hand the backseats and 9k rev are nice and on the other 274lb of torque means easy quick city driving. This is driver preference but on a track the 350z clearly wins.

@macrayz: You might wanna take those numbers (all numbers) with a pinch of salt, testing conditions etc. are rarely the same, and as someone else already pointed out, Top Gear disproves all of that and puts the Z, the RX-8, and M3 on the same page with identical laptimes. Regardless, I never said I beat a Z on track I was talking about stop-light racing. And no, not in a straight line either, so if it makes you feel better you can put the Z's loss down to poor driver skill or whatever. I don't really care. That's my point. You seem hell-bent on proving that your car beats my car, and the only points I was trying to make were a) better or not, you don't make friends when you tell people their car sucks and can be "smoked" by yours, Mr. Diesel it's in your wording and attitude, and b) I honestly couldn't care if the Z beats my 8, on paper or wherever. I bought my car for good reason, and I didn't buy a Z for good reason, and those reasons are valid for me, and may be the opposite for you, whatever, the point is it really doesn't matter that much and yet you insist on going on about it. I'm a car enthusiast, and as such I love my 8, but I also like the Z, I'm not putting your car down (as you are mine).

Now don't get me wrong I'm not trying to offend you or start a flame war. I'm just getting tired of reading belligerent posts about how much better your car is than mine. I don't care. Let's leave it alone.

i was racing my friend on tsukuba, rx-8 vs s2000. It was an awesome match up with the renesis and f20c both having 250ps and redlining at 9000rpms. But It was weird cos he was faster on the straights. Then after he left, i sat down and had a go with the rx-8 and found that it had around 284ps. =\

the renesis is a great engine, but i found that on a track like tsukuba, the gearings dont match the course and after each hairpin, the revs drop down alot. i think i barely got into fourth gear on the main straight...dont remember.

Dking, I was actually having a good time debating with you as you had some compelling points. Then you got all personal once I posted track times. "Character? WTF. Where do you live because if you are ever in Florida I challenge you to a duel. You name the terms (course, dead stop or roll, simple traffic light battle, twisties . And for your info I posted a 13.8 sec at 102.6mph 1/4mile at Moroso Motorsports park in not the best conditions for those who think I can't drive. Bring it on!!!
