Mine just showed up on Friday, but I'm still working my way through MGS3. Grrrrgghhh it is killing me just having it sit there waiting. MGS3 is good fun though, although after playing CoD4 so much the FPS controls are horribly aggravating, clumsy and unresponsive in comparison.

Re: MGS4 I got the LE and does anyone else find the US CG cover ill chosen in comparison to the LE's fine artwork?

The LE cover is miles better than the Standard boxart.

Did anybody think of the Schwarzenegger MadTV spoofs when they were playing MGS4?
 
The EU boxart looks better than the standard US boxart but not as good as the LE boxart...

Got the game at friday and played the game to death till now. Im now at the 4th B&B boss. Can someone pls tell me how to make pics in the game. I checked my inveroty, but i can find the camera.
 
the camera is in the nomad. If you pick one up during Act IV you'll get pics of Naomi cooking with Sunny.
 
I haven't been able to play this since Thurs. :( :banghead:

I just logged over 10 hours of MGO, and purchased the PLUG S at Drebin's. How does it work?

I know to inject it into an enemy soldier, and did so. Nothing showed up. While injecting the enemy, other enemy showed up, but once that was done, nothing else was displayed.

I tried leaving the PLUG S in the item window, and nothing. I didn't kill the soldier I plugged, nothing. I used the Solid Eye, both regular, binocular and NV mode and still nothing.

Anybody use this item with success?
 
Isn't the Plug S only for MGO? It's supposed to display enemy players' SOP data if they have those skills equiped.

No, after logging 10 hours of MGO, you can purchase it from Drebin's for your regular MGS4 game play. Odd, since it doesn't seem to work like I expected.

I never used it in MGO, so I don't know how it works. During MGO, are you supposed to hold the enemy indefinitely, or can you let go and still have it work?

Like I said, the enemy show up as RED ENEMY in MGO, if you're Blue Team, but only while injecting. If you let go, it stops. If that's all there is to this thing, it's pretty useless.
 
I finally got through MGS4. I got an Eagle ranking.

The credits began to roll and I noticed something odd... wait a minute!

Yes, Kojima, it was good.

I think ive said this before but I want to get this game because its technically amazing but I have never played any other MGS and dont really intend on buying them just to play them through, I could possibly borrow MGS3 of a mate but is there a way just to enjoy 4 as it is?

And also get the Metal Gear Solid Database from the US PSN Store. All MGS4 related stuff is locked until you have completed US MGS4 game save.

That will allow you to select individual people, times, places, or events to get the details leading up to this point.

Note: It says Add-On in the store, but it is a free-standing application.

Not with the railgun... ;)
You get it later on in the game though... approaching the end of act 4, I believe.

Like was just posted, the RAILGUN kicks butt. But, you must let it charge to LEVEL 3 to wipe them out. Look through the scope, or listen for a *PING* sound if you're not looking through the scope.
