Are we STILL on the bickering thing. Hasn't that died long ago. :L

I'm also excited about 1.9, but I'm going to wait till the full release (too much messing around with worlds and stuff) and then start my YouTube LP of MineCraft finally. I had to keep putting it off due to updates and traveling, but it looks like I might be able to start it now!

I disagree, atleast with as hard as it is to coordinate with the people we have right now, adding more would just cause more issues.

How about a colorful Mexican/Spanish/Italian theme, like a tight coastal city along these lines:

I've been itching to put colored wool to better use in construction, so if you wanted to do this I'd be glad to help out. I've wanted to start a project where multiple people contributed but strict guidelines were enforced to keep everything consistent (Things like building a solid foundation, constant road width and material, planned locations of important buildings, etc). I would like to participate if you plan on having these guidelines and having discussion to decide what they should be. For big projects like that, a good briefing is pretty important for making everything look natural.

What do you think?

I wish I knew how (or even could in the first place, :lol:) to add you, I would do it, but I think you'll have to wait for Dunc to get on, which shouldn't be too terribly long seeing as it's about 5AM there.

I really like that idea Dylan, I'll have to talk with Aaron about it but I think he'd go for it too.
 
I'm probably not gonna be on alot til the 1.9 update I think, rarely see anyone in the 1.8 world and I've never been to the 1.7 world where everyone hangs out anyway, guessing because 1.8s gonna cease to exist before long lol.

Yeah but I'm at work. May be able to do it in an hour or two. You can log on now and take a look around.
 
I wish we could have this on the server. It would make construction so much easier and better, but I don't think it will ever work with SMP. I think for that village we might have to use brick stairs or something for roofing.

Edit: This bukkit plugin seems to suggest it could be possible to incorporate it with the server. Interesting.

Also, non square blocks in minecraft? What is this I don't even... CCTV mod looks interesting though, and useful haha.
 
There is a portal on the top floor of the spawn tower. Type /spawn then go up the stairs to the top.
 
A buddy of mine who runs the other server I play on is wondering what plugin allows you to teleport to other worlds? Is it in the Bukkit suite?

I think it's MultiVerse or something.

Multiverse-Core lets you add multiple worlds. Multiverse-Portals lets you create portals between them.
 
Cool, thank you. We have a world based on 1.7 and want to get a 1.9 world going when it comes out so we were trying to think of a way to link them. It then dawned on my the GTP server had it :lol:. Thanks again for the info.
 
Uhh, I was on the server for a moment, then lagged out and now it won't let me back on (Connection Refused), this happened last night aswell...

Edit, and now it's back up, apparently.
 
Im making a gtp minecraft server approved by jordan first on get ranked also I'm making a thread for it right now we are playing with maps and yoglimpics it's a 1.9 pre #2 if wanted will go to any other version ip is on new thread

Nobody trusts you. I highly doubt your 9 also. Beep you have no positive contributions to these forums or this thread, why you still feel the need to log on daily I'll never have any idea. The most useless 100 posts probably in the history of GTP and I'm shocked you haven't been banned already.
 
Exactly and who ever wants to play cause Jordan said this isn't an official GTP server and anyone who wants to play role-play creative and survival different worlds and 0 lag

and the server has gotten donations from Simon and Lewis Honeydew and Xephos FYI no joke the give us some of there maps and they stop by and visit server at times no jk
 
Zero Lag? I highly doubt that.

And I doubt you can keep a server running smoothly with no griefing, stealing, etc.

I can't help feeling that all these people creating servers to get away from Dunc's are failing to appreciate the work that goes into keeping it functional. A lot of that work goes into enforcing the rules. I have no sympathy for anyone who knowingly breaks the rules because it just shows you don't care about the server. Have fun on your server beep, but if you can't play by the rules, don't come back to Dunc's. End of story.

For the record, I have nothing against those making servers to use in addition to Dunc's, like Ryou's for example. It's the "competing" servers that irk me.

wall linked me to here last nite, i could see that being a possibility, would have ot find the right landscape to do it though, but it would be fun makin that for sure
