I'll put it in the shortest way I can.

Basically survival mode with 120 people. You start the game by choosing kits, and when the game starts you have 2 minutes of invincibility from fall damage and other players. You also get a compass that points to other players, so you're not totally hidden. There's an initial bloodbath, yaddayadda, and you fight for survival. Beware of hackers and such, blah blah blah.

EDIT - And some people make alliances, but that's only good for attacking others and defending, you get things done faster on your own (At least, for me :p)
 
Is it normal that I can't fly in the newest world?

I have an idea for a project, but it's a mostly underground project. Too bad the fog is still there. It limits the height of underground structures even more. Unless there's a vast mountain covering it.
 
Yeah that's normal. It has all the games such as MobArena which would be too easy if you could fly.

Try using optifine, you can get rid of the fog with it.
 
So I've tried and tried again to get a Bukkit server up and running. Nothing seems to be working. The CMD is telling me that Java is performing an illegal error. Any thoughts? I looked on YouTube for tutorials but they weren't really that big of a help.
 
Ugh, banned for accidentally flying by pressing the "V" key while jumping in MyCraft on the HG servers. FML, now I can't join unless I do an appeal... and they keep insisting that I was "hacking." MyCraft... hacking?!

Does it do this when you run it without any plugins?
 
I heard from one of the guys that diamond is now disabled from the server due to xray cheaters, the server has an xray detect thing, but I guess this is for the best, so don't bother looking for diamonds.

Also, servers E and F are now available.
 
Where can I find a render of the newest world? I'm trying to find land to build on, but can't find an area big enough. Too much water :p

I actually figured it out, I installed the automatic installer for Bukkit and it took care of all my issues.
 
DQuan, im heart-broken. I tamed a kitty-cat in the jungle, and after maybe about a minute, it disappeared and never returned. Then I tamed another one, and it stayed with me your maybe 15 minutes before it too disappeared and never returned. And then I almost tamed two more, but they just disappeared when I turned around to get fish. What the nugget is going on, DQ? My poor, poor kitty-cats, I miss them so much! T_T
 
They have now unbanned me, thanks to them. Yes, I think they DID remove diamonds, that will even out the playing field by A LOT.
 
I'll tell you a trick.

As long as you don't fly more than 10 blocks horizontally or vertically (and an admin dosn't see you), you can get away with using fly. I use it to skip-jump trees and stuff, just in small increments. :p
 
Since they removed diamonds that means that they are even more valuable as they can't be harvested anymore.
 
I'm annoyed that there isn't any real explanation of the fundamentals of the hunger game worlds at all, in fact almost nothing is explained, even on the forum.
I know that Dungeons do spawn (I died before I could get to a chest to see the contents) but haven't come across a mineshaft or stronghold yet.

Sugarcane doesn't spawn, which along with diamonds also means you'll never be able to enchant any weapons (sugarcane-paper-book).

There is clay underground, but noone knows why it's there.

Also, sometimes the chat is activated and somtimes not, it randomly disables at any time.

I'm going to try and get nameplates disabled so people can't find you without using the compass (and listening underground for block breaks)

Who had that one house in GreenWood. Now that ToriSands has jungle I'd like to delete GreenWood to reduce server load. I can import the house first.
 
DQ, now i'm having the same problem with my dogs. They too, like my two cats, just disappeared for no apparent reason. What is this? I want to actually keep my kitty-cats for more than 10 minutes.

I had a house in Greenwood, and prettiegirl100.
Combined we had 32 golems, I think 10 were hers.
I don't mind losing it but could I be reimbursed 88 blocks of iron and about 8 stacks of fence?
