Well that's good to hear but I talked with my ISP about my ping and my ping never got better. I get about 124ms ping to the UK and I know I got better than that in the past to where I had a A class connection compared to a B class. The support guy made me a case number since was not "qualified"(from what I can tell since he just asked basic questions and did not have much support at all when I got the same result or even more bad ping than before) to fix it so I can talk to the higher ups in the support dept.

It is sad when you get only 41ms ping to a place that is only 30 miles away. Which is still B class connection and A class would be in the 20's.
 
Managed to get a whole load done tonight! But will be needing lots and lots of glass/sand and loads of coal too, if anyone knows where to get any or can donate any? My mine seems to be bare :( What's annoying is that me and Violentblue dug into a huge huge area recently and when the server rolled back it disappeared and I can't find it again! :lol:
 
I had an infinite sand generator briefly, and as a result, had quite a bit of sand, but I consolidated most of it into sandstone, and I don't think I have much sand left.
 
Problems are the same so far and lag makes text take several minutes after it has been typed. Also noticed animals in water go deep in water and then jerk all the way up after a few seconds.

EDIT: I'm also restricted to a small area I can walk on.
 
Only minor lag problems here.
@Moglet: I have some glass in my shop. 12 stacks, with a couple more on the way.
 
Hmm, I just had a plan, and it would require a lot of TNT.

Can I get permission to, via TNT, build "The Chasm?" I'd need about two stacks, and I'd build it away from civilization, but I'd make it reachable.

As for lagg, yes, the chunks are still not loading.
 
if anyone found my house and would like to drop off some sandstone would be greatfully accepted.
 
I can deliver you some, but I need to know how much and where. And also, the server's borked for me.
 
The server is also messed up for me. It will only load one chunk of the world. It used to work when I first got minecraft last week.
 
The ones that are tailored for minecraft or just in general game server?

Edit: I found this helpful website. It's odd because we've ran 5-6 people including Dunc before. Though according to the site if Dunc gets that 30mbps download and 3mbps upload connection he can host up to 9 people including himself.

I'm thinking it's a bad plugin or something funky with your server, only a few people get the weird "non-loading chunks" per day/server/router reset, and it's always someone different each time. I wonder what could be causing certain peers not to be able to connect?
 
My House is basically along the High Lighted path or whatever its called near a beach Should have 2 tree's with an unfinished house there, Water is surrounding it, Basically West (Thats where the sun sets right?)

House is mostly Done thanks to Rykon Zero.

Hey DQ, I think I found out something that may be evidential, every time around after 9 PM EST (For me, but it could be other people too), the server begins to be lag free. I'm still very curious as to what's causing this, if it lags around certain time, and ends around the said time .
 
Dunc, since we have the same internet speeds, I am going to agree with Wall and suggest it's possibly a bag plug-in. Possibly move all the plug-ins out of the folder and try running the server, just to see if there's any difference.

I can host 10 people (My server limit) with 0 lagg. (But the furthest people connecting are from New Zealand)

I am now, despite not hearing a single word from Dunc, creating the Twin Acre Villa (Took me long enough to make a name) and this baby is really, really time consuming. Not to mention, because I'm using MCEdit, this is incorporating some expensive stuff. I'm certain I'd require the entire supply under the town center of Lapis Lazuli to create the flooring, not to mention an uncomfortable amount of coal to account for the stone slabs I'm using. And all the glass. The whole 1800. In the wings. On the first floor.
 
No pics yet, but I have a house which in between the outer and inner wall there is Obsidian, to protect against TNT. Now im trying to make a piston work as an "Obsidian Door" Since usually that gets blown off first...

Can you add lo9 to the white list?

To save you time, just in case, I think TNT is set to not work on the server. Same deal with creepers, they don't explode. And we tend not to get trolls, since the server is set to 'online-mode: True'
 
If tlowr4 goes online and wonders who messed with the gtp sign, it was me ;)
It has been a while since anyone worked on it and decided to work on it myself.
 
1,400th post! [In the thread] (PARTY! YAY!)

DQuaN I still cant get permissions working on my server! I have done everything you showed me, and when the server boots up it says Permissions.yml is empty, ignoring it, and then it says 'There are no set permissions, defaulting to OP'

Could you link me to the one you're using since you know how to use it, and then possibly screen share and help me set it up? ;)

You can't move obsidian with a piston. Though the obsidian is bomb proof anyways. You could make some sort of dancepad that acts as a door password(slightly joking on this but it'd be awesome to see).
 
Why is the classified signs dont like to be edited?
Since I am looking for some more sandstone, will give brick if needed, I am west just past the arena (Should have cactus surrounding the house (Defence) Place sandstone in the box)

The spawn area is protected, so you can't edit anything within a certian radius. 👎
 
I see so thats why we cant really edit it. Eh I posted my sign with all the others outside of it.

Construction on my apartments is well under way! This was originally meant to be a hotel but I think it suits apartments better. One on each level.

I know it sorta says 'HOG' but sod it. Although any ideas for a simple 3 letter name will be considered! I can't wait until the 'scaffolding' (dirt) comes down to reveal the 'snaked' style window frames all over the front of the building! You can get an idea of how it will look by looking at the 2 front edges of the building and how they alternate between levels.

Each apartment will be for sale once it's complete, the top level suite is taken by myself already but the others will be sold with price depending on location. The lower levels have less windows open to the outside due to the way it's been built into the side of the cliff.

Also what are people's opinions on having each level coloured with a different wool? Each apartment entrance will have some wool in a particular colour placed somewhere in the stairwell and at the bottom in the reception area there will be a guide with colours related to who lives on each level.

Very nicely done!

May I suggest, white and red carpet for the lobby (If you have one) and then keeping the rest of it simple with like a dark blue or black carpet? I think that it would give it more of a feel like a hotel that way..

But then you said apartments.. Possibly some with wooden floors and others with carpet. Maybe leave the carpeted areas white so the 'owners' (if you sell rooms out) can edit them with their own preference?


And towards your TNT comment, ahh okay. I knew creepers didn't explode, just wasn't sure about TNT ;).
