Just another complaint about the lag. It's getting a little much to handle. How many Gigs/Megs of RAM can the server take? And what size CPU can we go up to? Just curious as I know a few people might be able to send some upgrades if I run a few errands for them.

Anyways 1. Apologies for leaving so abruptly last night, we had a storm and the internet started to go all haywire.
2. Thanks for importing my Castle, dunc. Now we need a name for it...
 
If I had the monies to upgrade my computer to bulldozer I would happily give dunc my LGA 775 Mini-ITX board with a Core 2 Duo @2.9GHz(E7500) and an intergrated(on the board) Nividia GeForce 9300/Northbridge chip(special drivers so I would send the CD to that or a link to driver download), stock heatsink and another lower profile heatsink that's cooler looking than the stock heatsink, and send 4GB of DDR2. I can't give Dunc my Sythe heatsink since it's good and will work for bulldozer(sorry dunc!). You can run that hardware off of a 200watt power supply and still have room for hard drives, CD/DVD drives, and some USB drives(175watts at load with CPU and GPU!).

But I do have two 1GB sticks of DDR1 RAM laying around and plenty of SDRAM sticks(Does the computer take DDR2?).

But yeah, I've got a piece or two of stuff that I could send, however I'm in Australia and just to get it shipped is around a week's wait, plus a ton of money on my side. I know a few people that I may be able to sweet talk into sending some stuff, if that's ok with them and Dunc, unless Dunc's covered by nick, should he upgrade to bulldozer.
 
Well dunc, you restarted the server, but that was 15 mins ago or something, and I can't connect...
 
Takes longer when doing it remotely, and it kept freezing. Should be ok now.

RAM upgrade should be here tomorrow. :)
 
How would you guys feel about setting up a dedicated forum for our Minecraft server?
 
Would be nice, Since then we can have multiple topics instead of just 1 long topic. (btw dq I sent you a visitor message)
 
That's what I've been thinking. Especially as we will soon have multiple worlds. (If the server can handle it).

As for VIP, there is no set criteria. I will promote users over time for various things. Being an active member for a long time. Contibuting to the server with big build projects. Being generally helpful. Good behaviour.
 
I'd like our own forum but I doubt it since I heard that soon there's gonna be an iRacing sub-forum and this thread doesn't have as many posts as some others. :indiff: It would be much better though.

EDIT: Maybe we could make an enquiry at the Help Desk.

I think it will slightly be dead but eventually people will know where to go.
 
Both will work.

This way though we can organise changes and suggestions much more easily.

I think their should be like a creative part in there, since I know I did a flag and I might do another one on my other house (Dunno yet) and whatnot.

Dunx during the lag I tried to run and destroy a grass block and I accidently broke someone's window when i got teleported back to whip's window :( (one piece of glass i accdently broke) so I'm sorry whip :(

Just replace it when you get back. I don't really care as long as it's an accident, unless you've burnt the house down or something severe.
 
Just made a house out of glass with lava surrounding it! :dopey:
