I have to say, why use an unstable, unreleased 1.8? it's just asking for trouble. Is it that hard to wait a little more for the proper release, and following bug fixes?

I've only encountered the menu issue. Everything else is working perfectly!

Oh dear, ditzy Ryou turned on the turret by accident, and is causing lag for other individuals. I have to stop it now.

Edit - I stopped it. :)

Trying to stop it, I may have caused some slight damage to it. Didn't realise I had a golden tool equipped. If someone knows how it works, it's only some of the wiring just before the dispensers. Sorry

Mine/Nick's Turret in Thorncombe?

I am back after two weeks, I have a new job and a new house so life has been pretty hectic, my internet is setup now so looking forward to seeing what the new version of the game is.

Awww yeah! I just don't want to download 1.8 because I wanna play in the server... :)

If you have a PC i might be able to help. Theres a portable minecraft launcher that was made, so all of minecrafts data is stored in 1folder along with the launcher. I use it to keep backup versions of all the updates ive gotten for the game.

I'm using the Pre-release version of 1.8 as we speak, and the only glitch I seem to have found is 12 diamonds in one vein. So I'm a very very happy chappy.

Well, there's also an item duplication bug, and with mushrooms you can make holes in adminium and fall into the void. Plus, there's a lot of glitches that cause the game to freeze or crash. In fact, here.

Well I logged in, saw a minecart move, and a creeper took a ride!!!

Pushed him back for a second ride:

I could not stop laughing for 5 minutes!!

Looks like no 1.8 today since Jeb is going to be working on the bug fixes. so looks like a few more days or a week.

Just as well as the RAM hasn't arrived yet.

;D looks like it's a race between the two.

I just got news that I can have a dumb terminal, like yours, once my dad is finished clearing his old computer. Huzaah!

My guess is you just have the server running with no monitor unless updates etc are needed?

Moglet
Yeah, it says that the server is outdated. I just wondered if the people discussing it in this topic had been able to connect somehow. It appears they are still on 1.7 after all.

The server files are running 1.7.3 so connecting on a client with 1.8 gives you, as you said, outdated. Every update means the server file has to be updated, along with plug-ins. So when 1.8 IS finally released, things may be a bit crazy, depending on hoe long it takes Dunc to update etc.

Yeah i've been finding a lot of bugs actually. Especially when I'm screen recording with screenflow.

Here are some Screen Shots from my Freedom Tower/Observation tower (Sorry for Dial up users...)

Well, the breathing room in Thorncombe pool has been locked with a sign by one of Josh's non GTP friends from that other server. Is this still a public room or has it been sold?

By the way, the name of the user is 'Saintkade'.

Guess we need a scarecrow ...

That was the worst pun ever...

Oh, by the way, I might have had a little lava spillage with the lava thing on the hill in Thorncombe. It did virtually no damage, and everything is fixed now.

so far 1.8 makes me lag horribly, dont know if its the way it is or my settings but I had everything on the low end so maybe need more ram or something?

I've noticed that too TJ, as have a lot of people on Minecraftforum.com. Apparently it's because it's pre release so it hasn't been fully optimised yet. I'm having to play on lower settings to keep it smooth now.

At lease it wasnt just me. Guess have to wait for the official release which might be late week or next week (Hoping next week since I have more time then)
