So, I came back to minecraft, and dunc's server today.... I had to update from beta 0.9! Sooo much change! can anyone give me a quick update about the server over the last 2 to 3 months?

P.S. New worlds look amazing. Really quite spectacular

EDIT: Server is lagging like a beech. Anyone know what's going on? If Fler or Dunc could check the error log (or log on and give me a 101 on how to do it myself), I'd like to know what's going on :)

EDIT2: Got booted and can't reach server. :grumpy:

Got to the spawn town in the new world and see if you can find the cannon that takes you to game town. :D

Dunc could be awesome and log on and give me Admin for a day or two to finish my project!

EDIT: So server crashed again. I think Vulcan may be the cause. I was screwing around with it a bit (nothing too intensive, maybe 5 shots over 5 seconds, then a rest for a bit, killing cows on the surface and patching up the holes). However whenever I do, the server lags intensely (it shouldn't lag like that with the light work it does with my use of Vulcan, making me think that there may be a bug with it)

EDIT2: Back up again. This is some weird 🤬

EDIT3: I also have about a quater of the range that I had with Vulcan yesterday, could be the cause of the glitchy server behavior.

Some guy just came, advertised his company, then left..

EDIT - Two more random people came, they say they got here from Reddit.

I had a look at the No Rules World. All the land is claimed and protected, meaning nobody can damage anything. Is it just for PvP that world?

The only protected area in that map is the roughly 10x10 spawn area. The rest is unprotected. The Faction-claimed areas can still be built/destroyed in. Faction land protection is off.

Hey, nobody made me VIP when I joined :( anyway look for a crappy little wooden very near spawn in the north east direction. It'll have a sign that says "home of Gavster16. It's mine :)

I'm liking the new nature reserve that's been created near town. It looks similar to Lake Notch but on a smaller scale. The buildings fit in really nicely!

You advertised on REDDIT?! No, no, just, no. Please, no. No, no, no. No, no. I will not want to join a server affiliated with Reddit. Bad things happen if you do.

Team aVo have Reddit in their #1 hit list. Whatever you posted there on Reddit, whatever you even do, take it DOWN. Fanboys will, and I mean WILL come and try and tear down our server. That's why each server on Reddit has extreme precautions and permissions/protection. Please, tear the post down.

And Jai, please, if you die on the preserve, take the death signs down, don't just leave them there. Not to mention jumping over the fences and leaving the placed blocks there, it was an effort to make it natural, don't ruin it.

Haha, advertising on Reddit is no worse than advertising here. This is a public site, so is Reddit. We'll be fine. I've had a lot of experience with other friends etc that have servers on Reddit, and if anyone's a DH, we just ban 'em. No big deal.
 
This site isn't full of griefers, it's a car-game forum. Reddit is on the target list of many grief teams, rouge fanboys, and badmin haters in general. Avo told their fanbase to use Reddit server lists as a hit list for servers to grief. Be smart, take it off the list.

Not to bloody mention I've seen this IP on a couple of aVo videos.
 
We'll be fine. We've got a good 3 or 4 deputies, sherrif, me, fler, dunc, vic... we can control whatever is thrown our way. They don't want to destroy little communities like us. They want the big ones gone. Minecrap, MCWB, all those big, famous servers to go through hardship.

And if we do end up with some griefers, what's the big deal of getting off our asses and patching it up. Only takes a mod to spawn some materials and 10 minutes in fixing the damage. The server saves a backup every 15 minutes, so we can easily roll back to before the damage was done.

In the mean time, we have a new player who's interested. He want's OP, but I told me he's got to take his time and work for it, and he seems happy enough with that. Imma look into his profile a bit, see if there's anything sus. He will be on later today so if Fler or Dunc could log on to up him to player would be grand. :)
 
Watching The Big Bang Theory and alternating with Charice and Celine Dion's music at the moment, might be on in a half hour or so.

I know this IP has been thrown around on aVo's videos and of course Reddit is the worse, If anything post on the Minecraft forum.

No, not the Minecraft forum...it's full of ignorant kids and arrogant guys who think they are the best. I'm sick of being askef to provide a portfolio of Minecraft creations just to get on some awful 6-man survival server
