Fine, fine, whatever. I give up. Can't help people these days without someone putting their 2 cents in. And a poor 2 cents at that (not directed at anyone in particular, just saying overall).

@theotherspongey Well perhaps if you stopped writing it rudely, it wouldn't sound like an insult. 👍

Gonna jump on now for a few mins. Join me Dunc!!

Or, you need to stop reading it like i'm talking rudely, as it's impossible for one to truely decipher the emotions a person is trying to put in there words...

ok If I modify .jar will it effect minecraft(not mycraft) because I can't mod the mycrat because of brother problems

I don't mean to be that guy, but has Sponge been in a rather bad mood recently..?

My island project is coming along nicely. The only problem is that I haven't built anything on the island yet. Only on custom offshore islands have buildings been produced..

I think so...But anyway, I want 1.2 to come, and I want more world-generations options, like superflat etc. That would be very nice :D

I want 1.2 so I can finally start my YouTube LP. Actually i've been waiting to get a stable enough version (meaning there won't be another one of this "Won't generate in old worlds" crap) to start my LP since late Beta 1.4... :grumpy:

Bloody hell Notch...

well then I can't do it because brother wants minecraft to not be affected for a server he's joining

Copy the folder
Place folder on Desktop
Run Minecraft
Create New folder
Modify that
Run Minecraft.
Replace minecraft after done.

I wanted to make a farm in Single Player, so much for that.. Actually, I still might, it would look nice at the top of the mountain!

now this is happening

Minecraft's.jar and such is in a directory that is hidden within the OS. That means that however many versions of the launcher you make, you can't get a fresh copy of minecraft.

The only way he can do it is to have too mincraft folders (in hidden files) and rename them each time to whoever wants to use it.

Is it possible to keep an animal without it despawning..?

Yes it is. All animals and mobs do not despawn now since the Beta 1.9 patch (AKA 1.0).
Sorry nick, but yeah :)

@Frostyboys That's a blackscreen. It means you didn't delete Meta-INF, didn't install properly, or crapped up in one or a million other ways. Have to delete everything but your saves and re-start minecraft, then start again.

@tlowr

You have a Mac, which is different than Windows. In windows it is possible to get a new version of Minecraft by using force update.

Ah yes, true that. I forgot :p When I use Force Update it dosn't copy over the original, but makes a second one. Then when I re-start Minecraft, it dosn't know which one to boot off, so it gets stuck at the loading screen.

Crap. I just noticed that I won't even be able to start my project; the top of the mountain is 7 blocks below the maximum build height. If I'm going to continue I need an admin to cut an enormous amount off the top while I'm online.

A hammer would fix that.... :sly:
