Great first post,Cyril.

Glad you have chosen the arcade version.
Time is the enemy these days.Always short of it.

I assume that we can't change nothing in quick tune section, can we?

First laps: 36.9

This mini have 162 CV

T2 37.251

Not much room for improvement, but I'll certainly do some more attempts.

I was wondering the same thing. And Also will all races be "Arcade cars Only"? Or will we be able to use our garage cars in the race series?

I am assuming that we cannot adjust gearing.

After 6 laps T2 36.311

I saw a couple in the .177 range and even a .063 once, but the final time of the above T2 was faster. So, 35.xxx is very possible.

@ Barbol : basically the plan is that we all drive the same car, so no, nothing can be modified except for the gearbox (manual or automatic) and the driving aids.

As for the next races, do you prefer a garage Mini or an Arcade Mini again ?
I'm afraid the garage Mini will be too much of a spoiler (mine is 194hp plus nitro).
Perhaps we can have races #1, #2 and #3 in the Arcade Mini, and races #4, #5 and #6 in the garage Mini, with a power limit and no nitro.
We have 9 days remaining to figure out this.

BTW, I added a T2 leaderboard to the first post so that we can easily know how much we need to practice without having to browse through the thread. ;)

Arcade is good for me, I like stock cars very much. But I will follow you in any case 👍

nice

Best time T2: 36.226

Real Mini T2: 41.7 ;)

Actually, I realized that garage cars are not available in the Arcade Mode.
So it will have to be an Arcade Mini Cooper S all the way through.
I'll take a look at what we can change in the Quick Tune section for race #1, and I'll start to run the warm up lap seriously. I can't stay 2 seconds behind.

It is true that garage cars aren't available in arcade mode, but you can race on any track in GT(sim) mode. (once you unlock them) I would like to race some races with garage cars.(in GT mode) Maybe with a Hp cap and definately no nitrous. I believe that half the race and half the fun is tuning your suspension for that .100 decrease in lap time. But whatever you decide...I'm still in. 👍 (unless you legalize nitrous 👎 )

Ok.
I'll have some time this week, I'll test a few combinations to please all racers.
You'll have your sim race in the series (perhaps more than one race).

All Right! Thanks Flat-Out.

I'll put in some more laps later today.

And anyone that still wants to join, I'm sure would be very welcome. We need more drivers!!!

Some more "warm up" brought a best lap T2 of 35.880 with a bad finish :grumpy:

Enough by the moment :p

T2 update: 35.958 Clean lap.

My fastest full lap so far also. I hope some of you can post your replays at the end of this. I like to see the awsome driving of my friendly rivals.

Does anyone know if PAL and NTSC/NA replays are compatable with each other? I hope so.

They were not in GT3, due to the framerate (50 Hz for PAL, 60 Hz for NTSC).
I don't see any way to solve this.

Leaderboard is updated.

Just noticed this today!

Alright, if and when I get home, I'll put in a few laps. Looks like a fun track.

Good to have you, Corps.

I have beaten my T2 but the Final time wasn't what it should have been.

Mojo = heavy foot :) Have fun.

I wouldn't mind joining in, if that's okay?

Can I ask ... what is a "T" time? Are these your final times, or just like a public 'qualifying' or 'practice' lap?

A T time is a "sector times" on each track. When you see the split times pop up while you're racing...that's a T Time. Some race series go by all T times that are on the track( T1, T2, and T3 for example) But it seems that we are just going by T2 in this series. T time posting is meant to keep us competative without giving away our final lap times. T2 times are to be posted here as we have been.

You will them submit your final time (full 1 lap time) ONLY at, or just before the deadline posted above to the member named "Flat-Out" (awsome guy that put this together) using a PM. (you may only PM him with one final lap time) Just click on his name and find the Private Message button. So, just follow the race rules in the first post and run some laps. Each race after this one may have different rules, so be mindful of that. And don't worry about being the fastest or not, just race because you love it... I do.

Hope I could help, Have fun. See you in the pits at Tsukuba! 👍

Man, that's a relief ... I went as fast as I could and I was like waaaaaaaaaaaaay off the pace ... I was beginning to think that there was something SERIOSULY wrong with me, when I realized that you guys were talking about T2 times :p

I'm assuming that there is no easy way to review the T times afterwards; you just have to watch for the stopwatch to appear at certain points?

Currently I'm running at 37.5, but there are two corners I know I'm losing time on, so I'm going to look at these and see if I can be even more competitive.

Depending if I'm allowed ot play, of course ....... :dopey:

mind if I join in...?
had the same question as kolyana and yesterday was making laps like crazy...
today I'll try and post some times here.

BTW great post. :dopey:

my first attempt at this last night ended with a few 36.xxx's with a little room for improvement i think i just need to get my speed coming out of T1 and maybe a little more out of T3

Wow!!!

Welcome to the '05 Mini Cup everyone. Quite a turn out, now. The more drivers we can muster, the better.

Some good times here. I'm gonna have to try and find some more time to shave off. I can't seem to put together a perfect front and back section on the same lap. Well, It's 5:30 and I'm off to tech school. I love cars.

Have fun, All.

Looks like I've been replaced, doesn't look like I'll be able to run this. I've just been presented with a business opportunity and have A LOT of researching to do. I was just talking to the current business owner and didn't get home until 12. I'm meeting with him tonight again, plus more research. It's time sensitive so I probably have a month of straight research and capital building. I doubt I'll even run the WRS :(

Cheers and good luck.

Welcome Kolyana and Ref_tdi to Online Racing land.

Always save you fastest lap.
Then in the replay theatre watch the T-times and most important,is the lap clean.(see the rules)

Enjoy the race. :)

Is that important for just the discussion of the warmup laps?

How can you save one particular lap? Apologies if it's obvious (not at my PS2 right now), but I've never saved a replay yet.

Saving the lap is very important in case your time ever comes into question, and in case you forget your time. You can save you best lap time by selecting selecting save ghost replay from the menu 👍.
