Playing for two weeks now, I've noticed the costs of the cars I really like are pretty stiff. Upgrades can be costly, too.

I was wondering what your comfort level is. I didn't like dropping under 10M. I'm at about 12M now.

Well there’s not any more of the expensive cars left in LCD I plan on getting so as long as I’ve got 3 or 4 million to buy and upgrade a car or two on a whim I’m good. Once you’ve got all the cars you want credits aren‘t really a factor until a new update releases new cars to buy.

You really need a minimum of about 30million. There are few cars at 20mil and quite often they appear with another around the 5-8mil in the Haggerty dealership.

Plus, if you fully mod a couple of cars a couple of million credits seem to disappear fairly rapidly ;-).

Proof was this week for me I was sitting on 50mil and the McLaren F1 at 19.8mil and a Ferrari at 8mil showed up and blew a big hole in my buffer ;-)

100K. Enough to buy a set of tires.
You can buy any UCD car with a 30 min Le Mans race. The LCD cars have a reasonably fixed rotation. Anything up to 3 million is easily earned in the days a car is in the dealership. Only 20 or so cars are more expensive, and I plan for these to buy (after the rest).

I like around $5M as a general rule, but as I’m at the stage where I’m trying to clear out the high-end cars from the LCD, at least $12M. As long as I can earn what I need to buy a car before it rotates out-of-stock in other words.

I don't keep any minimum level. Loads of cars that are interesting to try for the Tokyo 600 race are 1m or less from brand central. If a car is bad, it might take me 3 races to give up on it. If a car is good, I might do 6 or more races with it, refining the setup. So each car I buy for 1m or less is generating around 4m back. I have every UCD car and every car that needs an invitation, it's just LCD cars I don't have, as well as lots from brand central. If there's something in the LCD that I can afford, and it seems interesting, I buy it, otherwise it's no big deal to wait for it to come around again, there's plenty more cars from brand central I can try before then.

After paying nearly 100 bucks for the game along with a ps5, then getting craptastic rewards, along with pd prioritizing fixing the tomahawk glitch instead of focusing on lobby issues, i said screw it and went macro auto grind. I give zero turds about credits. If I'm down to 0, I crank up the macro and wake up to 6 million in my bank account. Double birds to you PD.

I like around 3M….but I’m also the type of person where if I see a legendary car that I just have to have…and it costs 3M….well I’m broke then haha and have to grind some more.

It’s starting to suck though cuz I’m at like 90% all gold for circuit experience and soon I will either have to conquer Nurb or start repetitively doing the same races

repetitively doing the same races
Each new car you use is a new experience, though. Set the AI to easy so that you have a fair chance of winning even on your first attempt with a bad car. I find it reasonably enjoyable to repeat a race seeing how much time I can gain over my first attempt with each car, and many cars are different enough that you aren't doing the same things to each car to optimise them for the same race.

I'm fine with being poor. If there is a car I really want I do more races. Literally at the moment of this post I have a mere 10k in the bank. Yep that's it. I don't see the point in saving up credits only to never spend them. A pointless exercise I say.

I like to have atleast $1-$1.5m at all times at the very least, though I have recently been picking up a few of the Gran Turismo 80s F1 cars for a custom race grid so between that and Sardegna my funds have been fluctuating quite abit.

Not sure you know.

I'm on around 60M - I don't want all cars in the game, just cars I want to use/like IRL; having said that, I'm having a hard time parting with 19.6M for the McLaren F1 which would fit the criteria.

If I could learn to save I would buy that mclaren just for the online lobbies. You see a lot of lobbies that are like 450hp or 700pp street cars….would be fun pulling up in the mclaren as you almost never see those cars in online lobbies

Mine is currently 12million as I have these on my shopping list:

After that it'll still be 12million so I can then complete this list:

confident I can get 5million when I need it if the GT40 comes before the XJ13

I'm currently on the McLaren part of my Brand Central buying spree. P1 is the last one there but I still need the two F1s for full company completion. Told myself I wouldn't bother with the 5 mil + legends until I'd got everything else but it is tempting. They are my local team, I pass the HQ every day on my way to work.

I'm trying not to dip below 20 million - I think that's the top price of any car?
Not sure what's left to buy but I do want that old Mercedes for 13 million who it appears again.

Grinding Sardinia is all I'm playing at the moment for that McLaren F1. Starting to get burned out with the track, but I must get the F1. :)

Currently sitting at 14million.

I'm currently on 106 million, despite that I struggle to justify paying 19.5 million for that McLaren. I tend to buy multiples of the cars I like which are the older Le Mans cars like the 787b and XJR-9. While I grind a fair bit I kind just have the credits there to buy a car if I want it, especially cars released in the updates or from the legendary car dealer 🤔

Who cares what the “comfortable” amount might be when the game does everything in its power to make players feel uncomfortable about earning credits in the first place. Keep in mind what grinding really means (not something pleasant).

I thought it was capped at 100?

Never had more than 5-6m credits at any one time. Never done any grinding of events. In fact I purchase as few cars as possible to cover me for all events. First things first, I’m trying to collect as many stock cars as possible. Plus a handful that are tuned.

Still have any easy(ish) 25-30m credits to earn from Circuit Experience. Other than the McLaren F1 road car there isn’t really anything north of 10m credits I want.

I think the most I had at any given time was 58.5 million then I blew it on all one legend car and like 38 cars from brand central lol...if I actually liked grinding I'd want 10-15 million in my account
