There was a thread I created while I was quite new at GTP, about the lack of Point to Point tracks in course editor, despite the fact it said you could in the GT5 manual. Read it here.

Also, there's some pre-release screens somewhere in the GTP news, but I couldn't find them. One of the was of the Special Events menu, and there was a Stig Challenge in which you.... erm, challenged the Stig.

I remember Stig Challenge...

I had assumed it would make use of the Top Gear track to try and beat Stig Lap Times.

FROM A STANDING START.

No Super Soft/Hard tires. In the Advanced Tarmac Rally event the AI are on Sports Super Softs. It makes no sense to not allow the player to use them.

Some tuning option that where the earlier games would be nice in GT5, like brake disc or Nitrous.

Again this has been stated many times, giving you choices of brakes does absolutely nothing, it's fictitious that if you install different braking systems your car will stop faster...just doesn't happen. Better braking systems combat brake fade which I have yet to see GT simulate. Long races and repeated braking on any car will cause brakes to heat up and begin to lose it's braking power and of course there is brake fluid boiling especially if you are using stock brakes and running hard laps in a street car. One day this will show up, but right now it's utterly pointless.

In GT1 and maybe GT2 there were, once tuned, some cars with no redlines you could get into.
(in those cases, max rpm = rev limiter = redline)

900 Degrees steering wheel - 1.1 Animation with the real wheel, I can hardly use cockpit when the wheel doesn't match :(

Yeah, I know :) But 4 years later you'd think they had managed to refine it somehow - I mean, The animation in Shift 2 is decent enough. GT5's arms are plainly weird. They way they try to 'guess' when you're going to change gear is incredibly annoying.

I miss alot from GT5, stuff like rims and tuning options.

Do you remeber the video preview with a Mini Cooper with custom decals?

Also miss the beige interior in the Ferrari 458!

What? How does that affect your driving?

If, for instance;

The wheel on the screen is not turned as much as you yourself are turning your wheel,

then there's a confusion on how much you are actually turning the wheel:ill:

I remembered in an update, I think it was 1.10, where they have enabled you to take a 3D picture without requiring a 3D television and export the 3D picture onto your XMB. Just as I was about to try this, like two days ago, after downloading update 1.11, it seems that this feature has been removed. Oh my god, I wanna kill someone! *switches from GT5 to GTA4 and kills someone.*

'releasing it early' isn't the problem considering it's been almost 10 months and they still haven't added that stuff

Another Missing feature:

This screenshot (from Gamecom last year) is supposedly meant to be the main view of B-spec mode.

Picture does not exist or is forbidden :(

Couldn't help but notice the more realistic pricing here, who knew removing parts would be so expensive come release?

Always curious why I can't change cars without leaving photomode, or take more than one, surely hired help should be available if I have 17 million dollars? Hell I could take more than one car to race day too.

In GT5 all brakes are strong enough to lock any set of tires. Also they don't suffer from fading or failure, have instant and linear response and work optimally at any temperature. Being perfect (or in other words, not being simulated in detail), upgrades would be useless. PD would have first to implement proper brake physics/dynamics (which is not only limited to just fading endurance as many seem to think here) before including upgrades.

That definitely was a race modified Mini, could be seen in several colors. I'm sad it's not in the game too, it looked like a cool Mini Challenge Replacement.

Something else that's missing (mentioned a couple of times already in other threads), not a "feature" though:

The damage modeling was better (cars got damaged quicker) in some earlier demos too.
