Just looks like the current car, but designed in an alternate universe. 0% impression made.

GTE with basically no camo (except for a little bit of black tape around the headlights)

Still a sad looking car with the fly eyes tailights. With that camo as it, would make a cool three door van.

That GTE still has camo around the light (both front and rear). It’s the Taycan all over again, where the minimal camo still distorted the look quite a bit. We’ll have to wait for the official launch to judge the looks fully.

A big advance in the interior design, but there's something about those front lights that just seem way too low.

Something about that rear on the GTE, it looks a bit generic. Maybe it's just since it has no exhaust.

First few members of the MK8 family have made their debut:

I think it looks great! Although the gloss black around and between the screens look rather cheap. I'm really disappointed that it's not coming to America.

Aiight that looks pretty good I think! Nice surprise, all the leaked photos made it look rather dissapointing.

Not a fan of the black trim either side of the front bumper on the R Line and GTE. The regular model looks great, though.

The headlights remind me quite a lot of Chevrolet current style with the Spark and Impala and what not. Not a huge fan of it, the body is too soft when put with the sharp headlights and taillights.

Hopefully the GTI is bit more striking. Looking forward to seeing a TCR variant though.

Found an angle I really like the front from:

The low front end suits the R-Line styling package.

Other than the saggy eyes, I love the interior and it looks like a fun car. The rear bumper appears lifted compared to the outgoing model.

Could just be the raising of the rear reflectors and trimming the rear tailights

After the crisp styling and proportions of the Mk.7 I cant warm to the 8 at all.

Teaser for the MK8 GTI, coming to Geneva. Looks like the red line will be on top of the headlights now.

The interior, I'm fine with. Hopefully, the exterior looks better in the metal.

Nice to see a larger rear spoiler and side skirts with some depth, perhaps the next Golf R won't look so anonymous after all.

Does the line that flows from the headlights to the VW badge light up on some models? If so that's a nifty bit of design and the GTI and R-Line models do look better but it still looks awkward to me.

It's currently not available on the Golf, but the ID.3 has this feature.
