I've yet to see a gold Barrett in killcams. I think mine is about to be level 29 with 20000 gun XP within 150 kills, but 30 to 31 will take ages. I don't know if I should prestige again.
 
Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed before but I didn't really want to read through 88 pages. I think I'm goin to get MW3, is there any difference between the ps3 and 360 versions, is one better than the other? Graphics, framerate, online?
 
Just realized that tonight is probably the best night of all for me to "go" for a MOAB.
With all the noobies that got it for Christmas.
Anybody wanna join me?
 
It's actually been harder for me today in some instances, gatrs. I've had more under even games than normal, but when I go over even, I was way over.

Tried C4 for the first time today (skipped it in MW2), and its absolutely hilarious :lol:. Way more fun than the usual Semtex.

C4 is hilarious in Domination, because you can just wait till you get told you're losing a point, and then BOOM!

That is completely true. I played yesterday with a friend who got MW3 and the first Domination game I played I (Lockdown) I got a MOAB. I wonder if you get a challenge completed for getting 5 MOAB 'cause you get a challenge for getting 2.

For megalolz: This guy was being a d-bag, so I decided to troll the next game. My result? I kill him 5, count 'em, 5 times in one game with C4, and when I happen to camp out next to a tactical insertion, its his. I still got a 4:1 K/D for the game too! Trollololol :lol:. Then, I leave that lobby and go 27-9 and have the final killcam being me getting a double kill with C4 and then sniping a guy. Best 2 games ever :lol: :lol:.

Can watching videos in Theater mess up your game? I remember something about it being bad.

2 Collaterals in one game :D. Hahaha oh what a fun night.

I've heard having Theatre enabled can make lag slightly worse, but not really seen any noticeable difference when trying it.

C4 is surprisingly deadly. The kill radius is huge.
It's funny to use. I put C4 on the roof of a room and no-one notices :lol:.

I just don't like how Scavenger doesn't pick up Lethals or Equipment anymore so I can't use it more than once :grumpy:
 
My team had 4 Juggernauts at once and I got a triple kill with C4, almost a quad :lol:. They only scored like 20 points.
 
I think that might have been how Scavenger worked from release, pretty sure it wasn't a patch change. Scavenger packs are only supposed to refill lethals/equip if the pack you collected had the same equipment, although I've heard that that part has never worked properly...
 
Just got on, played 4 games so far. Feels a bit more crisp than MW2 and nothing seems stupidly broken yet. Explosives make sense as well now :lol:
 
I haven't been doing well since I spent about 30 minutes on BF3. I stopped, so hopefully tomorrow I'll be better. I was garbage with the MSR, so maybe I'm stuck to the Barrett now. I got gold on that today, and now I'm trying to find a gun to use. The MP7 is great, it just seems like it takes 10 hit markers to kill sometimes. I'm gonna have another go with the MSR tomorrow. I can't think of any other guns to try.
 
Well, now I have a level 21 SCAR and my KD is a touch under 2. These maps are pretty tight feeling, and a lot harder to cover all the routes between points, which seems to be keeping camping down a bit. So faster paced feeling game I think, even if everyone feels less super human with the removal of some of the old perks.

Also, had fun dealing with a Juggernaut who had a riot shield. Ended up getting him with a throwing knife when he was in a corner.

What killstreaks are people finding handy? I've been using the UAV and Predator missile, and then messing around with the Reaper drone. Bit of a learning curve on that thing.
 
I find myself using the Support streaks more often. UAV, Adv UAV, Stealth Bomber, mix it up with a SAM here and there. I just pick stuff to work on the challenges. Same with Assault when I use it, just random stuff for now.

It took me most of my time with my first reaper to realize the missile follows the laser, not flies straight to the point you marked. I missed so many people because I kept moving the marker to find more people.
 
Seems like Support with Hardline Pro and just spamming flash nades and stuff could lead to a lot of UAV and CAUV spam. A lot.

The Reaper reminds me a lot of the rocket launcher from the first Half Life. And I loved that thing because you could do some stupid silly skill shots with it around corners and the likes.

You gonna be on for any games right now? Been bouncing between StarCraft and MW3 tonight.

I mostly use Support - UAV - Remote Sentry (guaranteed 5-6 kills if you put it in the right place) - Stealth Bomber.

I'm finding decent streaks harder in MW3 compared to 2 (even though my K/D is 1.5 and not 1.2) so I'm finding support better. Besides I'm almost guaranteed to get the above 3 in every match. With these tight maps, Stealth bomber is worth 3-4 kills most times.

I think they've got the killstreaks perfect in this.
 
I've been doing really bad lately, so I decided to bring back my old favorite class from MW2 to see if it had any aura left. The ACR/AA12 combo has helped a little bit, but using Overkill takes away Hardline, which I always use unless sniping.
 
I'm almost completely Specialist. I'm not fond of how people can get 5 kills then let the rest of their killstreaks own the other team. If I am running Assault, it's usually Chopper, Reaper, Osprey. And if it's in a closed in map (e.g. Resistance where it's not very open) I'll replace the Reaper for a Pave Low. My usual Specialist chain is (with Hardline) Assasin, Marksman, Scavenger; or (with Assassin) Dead Silence, Marksman, Scavenger. If I do run Support, it'll be Recon Drone, Advanced UAV, Stealth Bomber.

I just can't run Specialist without BlindEye. Mine goes as follows (with HardLine):
Assassin
Blind Eye
Dead Silence

Calm down a bit. Try flanking them, change game modes or try different killstreak rewards.
Most people change their weapons when they go through a bad streak, but I think it's best to avoid doing that. Everyone knows what the strong guns are, if they are not working for you then it's either your aiming or your connection. If it's your aiming try changing the sensitivity.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but how could any assault killstreak combo be better then just using the first 3. Care package, predator, precision airstrike. I'll change it for the indoor maps, but it's just so easy to get to the airstrike, and you always get a couple kills with it. Before you know it you have another care package and predator. I never go for the big killstreaks because it's just so rare to get 12 or 15 kills in a row, compared to getting all 3 of the first ones 3 or 4 times a game.

One other thing that drives me crazy is people getting mad at me and claiming i don't use blind eye and I get them killed. I always run blind eye, but it seems most people don't realize that you can still see them even when they are running blind eye and you are dropping a predator. It's easier when they are outlined with a big red square, but if you just look it still shows them running around the map even when they have blind eye.
 
Like I can't even get 10 kills in a game. I'm ready to start screaming at the TV, but I can't. I haven't had a good game in probably the last 50. Still using the same strategies from when I did good. Grrrr...
