I am tempted, but i was a bit put off by the demo i downloaded. It just felt alien.
I had a friend round tonight to try it out, he's into MW3, but I think I may have swayed him.
The demo was a very poor example of the finished article, out of the 13 maps available, the demo one is the smallest and most linear.
But there are a few things that ring true with your statement....
It is a very hard game to get into initially, as everything you need has to be unlocked, even the sights.
This is compounded by the fact that everyone else in the lobby has unlocked everything they will ever need, usually, and will have the advantage.
Also, initially, you find the sway of the character very off-putting, as you are so used to aiming on rails, which is what the CoD series promotes, and the feeling in the other game is much more organic, if you like.
A lot harder to aim accurately to begin with, but hey, I am getting kills, so that has to tell you that even sucky players can achieve over time.
It's just the scope and size of it all that suits me.
I can literally go into a map, and spend the entire 20 mins of the round, wandering around, taking pot shots here and there, or minding my own business, and never get taken out, as the maps are so big.
Try doing that in MW3........
OK, that's enough hijacking, I am sorry, I will go peddle my lies elsewhere.
Please excuse me.
