Correct me if I'm wrong but how could any assault killstreak combo be better then just using the first 3. Care package, predator, precision airstrike. I'll change it for the indoor maps, but it's just so easy to get to the airstrike, and you always get a couple kills with it. Before you know it you have another care package and predator. I never go for the big killstreaks because it's just so rare to get 12 or 15 kills in a row, compared to getting all 3 of the first ones 3 or 4 times a game.

I don't like Care Packages because I think they are a liability if die while waiting for it, etc. I'm managing to get the Reaper up fairly regularly, and I still don't know the maps, so it depends on how people play.

I'll be on some more later today if anyone is up for some games.

Like I can't even get 10 kills in a game. I'm ready to start screaming at the TV, but I can't. I haven't had a good game in probably the last 50. Still using the same strategies from when I did good. Grrrr...

Was a good session last night so I might join you again.

I started using the care package streak on my main assault rifle class today. There is a risk in using it but it's a rare occasion that I'll get killed waiting on the drop. Plus I can get them consistently and usually get something decent.

I've been doing some experimenting with the streak systems. Switched my run n gun SMG class to support with Hardline and UAV and CUAV streaks. It works nicely cuz if I'm doing good I can pretty much have them up for most of the game and be mobile without having to worry as much.

Also found a good way to haul in xp. Support package with UAV, Ballistic Vests and Recon Drone. With the vests you get an extra 50 points every time someone takes one. With the drone you get 100 points every time you tag someone and 20 for every tagged person that a team mate kills. Used that setup in a TDM on Outpost and ended up going 19-11 but still getting a score of 3180. I think the next highest score was only something like 1900. Plus they are useful streaks which help the entire team out.
 
I play Kill Confirmed. If I do other modes, I get slaughtered worse :lol:.

Finally, a couple of good games. Once a broke out the SCAR and unlocked the silencer, I got quite a bit better.

I am finding the Type 95 with a Silencer is just golden. Currently using it over the SCAR, though I am a fan of the SCAR with Silencer and the hybrid sight.

Also, is it just me or does the Red Dot Sight make things really, really bouncy when you take hits? I stopped using it because I could swear I was hitting things less often with it.
 
I'm not a huge fan of the 95. If I see it on the ground and I've got no ammo then I might switch to it but now I'm happy with my SCAR/ACR and MP9 (which is great as a primary itself :p I practically snipe with that thing).
 
The 95 reminds me of the FAMAS, which I always liked. The SCAR doesn't seem to drop quite as quickly as it use to, so I'm finding myself hitting people a bit and then they can find cover. And the 95 is helping my accuracy out, which is sitting at 21% right now.

I know there is a clan someone setup for GTP, but what is the info on it so I can join and all that noise? Provided that actually does anything anyhow.

Also, I've concluded the KSG shotgun is worthless. Couldn't get a single one shot kill with it, while the SPAS was far more consistent in delivery.
 
You get the most benefit from a Clan if you're a Premium Elite member because you can take part in events and challenges. There's no reason not to join it unless you plan on joining a real large clan.

I'll start playing again soon though probably only with you GTPers. I've still got 4 games I haven't even touched, 2 that I need to finish up, and 2 that don't really have an end that I haven't played much at all recently.
 
I see. It just looks like a nice way to keep track of you guys though, at the very least.

Started using Specialist, and I have to say I'm a big fan. And if I understand correctly, when you get 8 kills (7 with Hardline) you get every perk? Seems like it could be beast mode with Overkill and some fun kit.
 
Anyone else problems with lag when you are the host? It almost becomes unplayable when I'm the host. And it isn't my connection that's the problem.
 
Nope, no issues. What is your NAT type?

Had my best game so far, 21-2-1 using Specialist and a G36C and RSASS. Trying to pro all my perks because, well, I am using Specialist on most of my classes. Feels pretty good going into full beast mode on a team. Looking forward to Recon pro and SitRep pro (which will take forever to get it looks like)

G36C has replaced the Type 95 as well, it just feels very well rounded and very accurate in most all situations - accuracy has climbed to a bit over 22% now. Started using the MP9 a bit, and it might as well be an SMG or something.
 
I did it in MW2 :lol:. I pretty much used two secondary weapons in MW2, the AA12 and the RPG. I figure I'm going to put in just as much time, so why not?

I think I'm just gonna leave my FNG title up for quite awhile, I was lvl 1 and in the top 2 in my team in almost every Dom match
 
I've been using "#1 Stunner" this whole prestige, and I don't know if I'm gonna prestige again. If I do, I lose my gold Barrett and FAD, which I don't know if I have the patience to re-get, and leaving behind my RPG, which I could always bring along I guess.

Does the Impact proficiency add damage like FMJ in MW2?

27-5 with 3 Attack Helicopters :D. The last chopper I had to get 2 kills with someone's picked up AA12, it was intense.

Contrary to my opinion earlier I'm my post, I just prestiged again and took along the RPG :lol:. I think I'm done carrying along weapons and will start taking other things or getting classes.

It gets boring to me when I can't level up. It's not that bad. I did it about 3 hours ago, had an hour break to eat and watch part of the game, and I'm level 24 again. :)

Is it just me or do the people that jump up and down and do annoying crap but are still good come out at night? Quite annoying.

It is something to do. Plus it unlocks extra stuff. Kind of like going back through a game on hardmode or something.

Plus, when you get decent with the game, it isn't like you have to use a certain weapon or kit load out to play well anyhow.

Extra custom class slots and prestige challenges for more titles/emblems. Plus I guess it is a way to show people how much time you've invested in the game.

I only did it a couple times in Black Ops for the extra classes. There isn't much incentive to do it in that game since unlocking the pro perks takes a lot more effort than in the Modern Warfare games.
 
Anyone want to be my 'CoD buddy(ies)?' Levelled up to 31 right now and finding that I really suck these days, plus the horrendous amounts of camping in games is just vile and making me sick :yuck: My K/D is only 1.19 compared to 1.6 in BLOPS and 2.01 in MW2, so I could do with a helping hand :dopey:
 
My K/D is sitting right at 1.10 and I'm having trouble getting games to go over even. I wish there was some sort of matchmaking system that attempted to put you with people of your own skill level.

👍 Thanks. Has anyone else noticed how much more accurate the RPG is than in MW2? I can actually fire it into windows at midrange now.

Back to back games, I went 33-7 and 31-6, with 4 Attack Helicopters in the second one. Never gotten 4 in one game before. Also, my SMAW kills didn't carry over to the Veteran challenge when I prestiged but my RPG kills did, I'm sure glad it saved the RPG ones, but I wonder why?

I had some good games today, best was 35-11 in a Domination on Dome. Been mainly sticking with the CM901 and working on the challenges for it. Anybody have any tips for completing the master key shotgun and grenade launcher attachment challenges? They're so under powered it's difficult to get any kills with them. I've already had cases where I've been at point blank range with the shotgun and got a hit marker instead of a kill. Same with the grenade launcher, the grenade detonates literally right beside or right in front of an enemy and they don't die. I understand they didn't want them to be as powerful as they were in MW2 but I think they went a little too far in reducing their effectiveness.

So yeah, any tips?
 
I normally make sure with the noob tube that I'm in a place where I can be stationary and fire, it helps my aim. I've just totally skipped the shotgun on the 3 AR's I've golded.

Very good idea as well ^. I had to do Hardcore for the direct impact "Think Fast" challenges.
 
Haven't really tried much hardcore modes but that's not a bad idea. I'll have a go at it later on tonight and see what happens. 👍
