I've never had an issue finding more than one game in Black Ops, whatchu talkin' about Willis?

Like the "bouncing betty" at the end of the video there.
Notice it's actually the AC130 that kills him. I don't think we quite know what that betty thing does yet.

Yeah James I do see exactly what you are saying now that I look closer. Hmmm... however it is also pretty clear that "betty's" charged device does explode just prior to 402's death showing up on the ticker. Obviously this could be crafty trickery on the dev's part, having a 130 round's impact with 402 exactly coincide with the betty explosion. Then again, this being alpha (or earlier) and all, they just may not have gotten around to updating the icons for every kill/death possibility yet.

Soooo.... in either case at least 1 of the 2 has to be right :D

I set searching to Locale Only and this is on PS3, but it's in the mornings when no one's on anyway :indiff:

Hmm, watching the trailer again, I noticed the radio guy said "Watch Out, Chemical Agents In Your Area." Could this hint at Bio-chemical warfare in the campaign? I may just be clutching at strings here.

If that's the official reveal trailer... I'm not impressed. Guess I'll be biting my tongue and putting the abomination that is Origin on my computer and buying BF3 after all. Oh, and Skyrim.

I was really hoping MW3 would be good, but from that trailer it looks like complete ass. So much for an emphasis on gun on gun gameplay fourzerotwo, that trailer had explosives everywhere!

I personally thought it looked pretty good.

The COD XP starts at 2 P.M. Eastern if I'm not mistaken. Expect actual gameplay then.

Wow, that engine for CoD is starting to look very dated at the moment...

Different strokes I guess.

The trailer didn't do anything for me, I was hoping to see actual multiplayer gameplay not some machinima - that, and from what I can tell the perk list that was supposedly leaked a week or so ago is in fact real. When I saw that perk list I said to myself if that ended up being true I'm not buying the game, because it was so full of ridiculous stuff it could not possibly make for a good online experience.

Not buying MW3. Still on the fence about BF3, not a fan of some of the things DICE has done with that game either (no in-game server browser, Origin, the HUD). Oh well, Skyrim will easily see me through to Mass Effect 3 in March.

Wow that's a joke. Same graphics since 2005. Just look they took it off CallofDuty's YouTube page becaus of all the hate.

You mean 2007, and personally I couldn't care less if they have exactly the same graphics because it does look good, and works well... sure, it's pretty lazy to not touch the visuals in between iterations of the game, but there isn't exactly anything wrong with the graphics that would warrant redoing them.

I saw reposts of the trailer on Youtube, and from what I could tell most of the hate was from BF3 fanboys - in particular the people that like COD didn't seem to care that the visuals are identical to MW2.

Meanwhile, people still play CS 1.6.

Visuals do not make the game. Not saying CoD is particularly amazing, but BF3 isn't exactly my cup of tea either.

I'm just tired of the game really. I'll still probably try it out and give it a chance. I also noticed all the hate was from BF players. Seeing the replayed trailer videos with " Like of you just watched the BF trailer".

After seeing all the videos that came out today I just can't get into this game anymore. It's the same garbage over and over again. What's with the sniper as a secondary weapon? Why did they keep those heartbeat sensors that no one likes? I could go on and on. I used to like CoD, but they're just milking every one of their fans for money. Not updating their graphics engine and not having dedicated servers is just getting old. This game should really be called MW 1.02. I'll eventually pick the game up, but only when I can find it for $20 or less. It's really not worth much more than that.

http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/po...packages-announced-customizable-kill-streaks/

Each package has their own unique reward system that will change how you play COD for the better. Assault is for those who like the traditional kill streak system with Osprey Gunner and Reaper upgrades. Support is for those who want to help the team instead of upping their body count with SAM turrets, Stealth Bombers or Recon Juggernauts and doesn't reset when you die. The third is Specialist which awards you perks as you kill people and after your 8th kill, you unlock every Perk available. According to Bowling, Specialist is the greatest test of skill for the hardcore Call of Duty Players, but also offers no airstrikes, etc.

Thoughts? I was also reading that you don't lose support kill streaks when you die. Sounds like if you're using the Assault package and you get killed before calling in a kill streak you lose it.

You don't lose them, they're there until you use them. What it is, is they don't reset for Support, meaning if you're at 5 then die you're still at 5 when you respawn. For Assault and Specialist if you're on 5 then die you're back to 0 when you respawn. It's an interesting idea, giving some help to people who aren't going for offensive streaks. I don't know if they reset after 2 or 3 deaths or even at all, but it gives a little incentive to have people choose them over airstrikes and gunships.

I am SO glad that this is looking like mw2. I had so much fun playing that game and to see infinity ward recognize that what they did was right, and act on it to make it better, I'm very thankful for.

Looks like home again :).

Gah. Contrary to what I originally said, I'm in two minds over MW3. The trailer was complete garbage yes, but having seen actual gameplay videos and heard peoples' opinion on the game it does look somewhat decent. I still have concerns about everyone running Blind Eye/Assassin (= Ghost), camper, deathstreaks, explosives, derpscopers, Overkill and something being overpowered, but the game looks a lot better than the trailer made it out to be.

On top of that, pre-ordering MW3 on Steam comes with a free copy of COD4, and COD4 is fantastic as we all know :irked:

Oh I think I get it now. I'd assume they reset after 2 or 3 deaths if not there would be no incentive to use low streaks and high ones together. Waiting to get your juggernaut recon armor before you can call in another UAV would be extremely annoying.

I'm a little apprehensive about the Specialist package though. The reason CoD games have 3 perk slots is so you don't end up with some soldier running around with enhanced everything.

I'm with you Sharky. That reveal trailer was quite worthless but the gameplay videos that I've seen still have me interested.
