I think the campaign is awesome.
I am easily pleased, sometimes.
I have really enjoyed the set-pieces, and some of the tasks set at the start of a level just had me thinking "how on earth am I going to do that?", but then you get going and of course, it all pans out in the end.
I would say if you are sceptical, then hire it for the campaign at least.
The first two scenarios are the kind of thing you could show to a mate who has never been into FPS's and instantly convert him.
Dan, the levels on the MP are good, I haven't played too many, as I only had a few games last night, and I've turned it off for this evening as I don't want to totally rape the game on the first play.
What struck me was that they all seem to be multi-tiered.
You can scout about and find stairs in a lot of buildings, which will give you some nice vantage points, but of course, these will become obvious to everyone as they play, and your advantage will decrease, but for now, I have had some fun picking people off from up high with a Barrett. 👍
One slight drawback, it is LOUD without a silencer, and I mean like, biblically loud.
I have no idea what it sounds like to everyone else in the map at the time, but when you pull the trigger on the Barrett, it's like...... well.... it's LOUD.
Of course, like i said, I have no idea what it sounds like to everyone else, because I was the only one using a sniper rifle in MP last night.... everyone else had AR's...... everyone.
Actually, that might explain why I died so often..... oh no wait, that's because I suck.
I felt like all the new maps were bigger, even the smaller ones, but again, I suppose that's just down to lack of familiarity.
Buy it, I'll see you online to do the spec ops missions, which are epic in every way.
You rank up your multiplayer attributes by doing them too, even if you are playing solo, and rather poorly.
Notice a theme here anyone?
Still haven't found a way to switch my stix round, but I am slowly starting to get used to hitting the right stick in to run and hold my breath.
Unfortunately, I can tell it will be a loooooooong time before I start knifing people with the left stick, as everytime I've been faced with a melee attacker so far in the campaign, I've run straight at him and gone "Huuuurrrrrpp"..... ba bum ba bum ba bum, and then died.......

👍
