It's not about being able to afford it. I haven't bought any map packs because I just didn't care for them at the time, I liked playing on the maps that were given and did so for a long time.
Now with MW3's maps there's alot to discover again and hopefully they'll be as nice as the previous game.

I'm just happy to play some TDM long into the weekend nights when I'm not doing anything :) maybe I'll see you guys around in a few days/weeks.

Are you going to be playing it when you get back, grumpy?

Of course.

But I have to be off to work at half 8 tomorrow, and I only managed 5 hours last night, what with being at Alton Towers for 14 hours..... mostly in queues; I might add.....

In fact, the thought of standing in another queue with a load of nerds and beer-heads for an hour or so, is not so appealing right now.... but you know I'm going, right?

Oh and boomee, no attempt to embarrass you was made, I was simply trying to point out what you will eventually discover for yourself.

:irked:👍

The store where I preordered just opened up for the midnight launch... I'm going to bed and have to wait till after work tomorrow :grumpy:

Some people just cant afford it all of the COds seems complete with out the DLC. The DLC is icing on the cake but its cool though.economy is rough right now for alot of people ya know?

I bought all the black ops maps without having a job. I'd get bored without DLC.

More power too you I couldn't do that it was a matter of being able to stay in my house and keeping food on the table for the family. I just couldn't justify spending money on a video game DLC when I was having trouble putting food on the table and keeping the lights on. Its priorities my friend video games always takes a back seat to real life. That being said i probably still spend to much on games but thats changing little by little im buying less and less games and waiting more and more for them to be dirt cheap at gamestop or amazon.

Its more of a hobby than just a past time for me. I've been playing games since I was little. I had an Atari 2600 as my first console. I remember the super Nintendo being huge when it came out. The PS1? It was like space age technology at the time.

Sharky.
Soft shadows kills my fps, lol. 40-80 on high detail with it on, 100+ with it off

How is it so far, Sharky? All that we expected and more?

Good point. I was thinking more along the lines of multiplayer gameplay, not anything we didn't already know .

Sharky.
Doing SP first before I jump into MP and frag some noobs :p

I'm so jealous. I have to endure through an entire day of school (no tests thankfully), but I knocked out all the homework for the week tonight in preparation for the impending binge :D.

One bullet, three kills \m/

Campaign is fun so far, pretty over the top as you'd expect from a COD campaign

I promised myself I wouldn't cave and buy this till next year as I'm busy playing BF3 and Skyrim is due at the end of the week..... well I found out that I'm not good at keeping promises  I broke down and picked up a copy. Now I just need to find time to play all these great games!

Ahhhhhh dammit why why why why?????

Why have they changed the controls??????

aaarrrrrggggghhhhh.

I don't believe it....

I am going to suck at this soooo hard till I get my head round using the left stick to melee and the right stick to run....

I mean, it's hard enough being a southpaw and liking my look inverted... but I've been playing COD for two years with the left stick pushed in (L3) to run and hold my breath, and the right stick (R3) to knife people... and now I have to swap around?

I've just died countless times in MP because I tried to run at someone, and because I tried to knife to get out of the way.......

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

Otherwise it's cool.
I would say it's a cross between Bops and MW2, but I think if I get the right perx and gun advancements, maybe my aiming will improve.
I am dead all the time everytime I see an enemy at the minute in MP, and there are guys up to level 26 already, I kid you not.

Anyway, enjoy people, and I am off to bed.

:irked:👍

Without having played the game I'm fairly sure you can change the controls at any time. I see no reason they would take that feature out of the game.

I would sure hope so, or else I would suck even worse having to relearn the sticks after two years of practice on top of try to compete . Bed in about an hour, then school, then off to GameStop to wait in the annual line with the guys. Watching a little college basketball right now to pass the time 👍.

Ahh yes fond memories from megaman, burgertime ,castlevania, and of course Mario lol.

boomee
Burgertime.

That was a heck of a game. I remember feeling like a boss when I'd get one level done, so challenging, yet rewarding. Galaga and Elevator Action were my favorites from the Atari era, although I believe Elevator Action may have come a tad later. Guess that's why I enjoy CoD so much .

I will be picking up my Hardend edition tomorrow along with Metal Gear HD Collection Limited edition please guys put down your thoughts so far good and bad. I am at work all night and bored tonight .. so far.

Mario was my favorite but I had so many games back then I can't remember them all. I kick myself for selling my 2600 at a yard sale years ago to help buy I think a dream cast.

Just finished the campaign, was pretty good 👍 Took just under six hours.

Now to try out Survival then hop online proper!

Try the spec-ops missions, they are actually really good.

And I like survival:

Having the option of using predator missile makes the job of killing juggernauts easier, however it takes some levelling up again to get good weapons.

Nearly made wave 10 in my first go of Survival, would've made it into wave 10 had I not seemingly randomly died :)

I think I made it until twelve then I got caught by a dog, a QTE could do what a juggernaut couldn't.

I only play it once(survival) on London, then I move into the spec-ops after finishing with the campaign, and I love playing without the Aim-assist (which I think it can be deactivated in other COD games, but I only noticed it on this one).

This game is so ****ing broken. My stats have been reset at least 3 times before I could finally select my classes. The game freezes A LOT and every time you get dropped from a game you get de-ranked. I finally managed to hit level 8 tonight after starting over several times. Oh and did I mention that EVERYTHING IS OVER POWERED. It seems like a single bullet can kill you from across the map even in regular TDM.

The game play itself is nice, I'd even go so far as to say it feels like COD4 a little bit. The OG MP5 is a pretty nice gun. Once all these issues get solved I think it might be a fun game. I'll give it chance again tomorrow and see what happens.

Oh and I managed to get my hands on a hardened edition anyway. Gamestop had two extra copies so I put my name on one. BOOYAH.

Good for you time attack on getting a Hardened I am assuming you are playing on the PS3 correct?
