Heartbeat sensors usually make me play worse, since I'm usually rushing around and looking at the sensor takes my concentration away from the battle and I can get killed. :/

Always haters always people just refuse to concede that there view isnt the only view.

Anyhow, I acknowledge lots of ways to play. But it isn't good to just stick to one style. I had 10 classes in MW2 and almost none had the same guns, and I could adjust to play any role as needed in a match. Ask anyone that has played with me, I versatile and handy to have around.

I'm mostly just saying that locking yourself into a certain style will often limit your options and development as a player.

I hate the things. I tend to only use then if I have challenges to do. Makes you a lot worse at the game in my opinion.
I'm not sure about you guys but the ACR seems like the alpha gun. I haven't unlocked it yet but based on the killcams it looks like it's the best. I'm just sticking to my SCAR L though. I've unlocked the red paint now. :D Hopefully wont be too long until I unlock that gold camo.

Be forewarned, level 30 to 31 takes ages. You have no good challenges left, and it seems to jump from 20000 per level to 89000 (I remember it vividly). I don't think the ACR is overpowering, especially at close range. I like it though. I've heard from my friends that play too much that the FAD (level 78, jeez) is a boss, so I may have to choose that one when prestiging. Anyone know if you keep your camos/attachments/proficiencies when you keep a gun after prestige from the Shop?

And then if they see your scope for like 1 second in the killcam or the final killcam, you get people saying "Hardscope! Hardscope!" and maybe even "noob!" But I can use a sniper and I can sort of quickscope and hardscope ;) but when I quickscope if I aim to the side I will swing the crosshairs and shoot when they go over him :)

But I don't do this as a primary method, I usually hardscope at long range I think, and pull out my secondary at close :)
The whole "quick scope, no scope, hard scope" nonsense has spawned a sub-community of idiots IMO. People who will criticize you for using a sniper rifle the way it was meant to be used - at range, from a concealed position while aiming down the sight but would rather you hop around in a circle and hip fire for a "no scope" are just plain stupid.

This. bevo it's all well and good to say you can camp with a bunch of friends in a match and get good results against a group of random players. But what happens when you're up against an organized team. They spam the 🤬 out of your position with nades, semtex, grenade launchers and rpgs, kill you all, take the lead and roll out. You gonna go back there and camp again when they chill somewhere else with the lead and wait for the game to end? CoD games give you so many options to safely dispose of campers that I don't think it should ever be someones main "tactic". They've even got a death streak that shows the enemy player on the map now lol.

bevo, from the sounds of it, you'd enjoy the Battlefield series. ;)
I do like that play type though. I find playing tactical is a lot of fun. Particularly when you're playing tactical and working as a team.

Why dint you add me, I'd like to try playing with you a bit.
Note that I don't have a mic, though.
Well I have one, but I don't use it unless there's either nobody else in the house or everyone's asleep.

quick question for anyone who has done it. How do you join a clan on MW3 through Elite. Friend has created clan, I located it. No 'Join Clan' button anywhere to be found. Elite isn't so elite in a lot of areas.

I do much prefer battlefield, rainbow six, socom or ghost recontactical style of games, but all of my friends are COD fans so I play with them. I like call of duty though, but maybe the reason I only get good results from going slow is because of the games I have played in the past. I just can't run around like crazy and ever kill anyone. It just drive me nuts when peoplle complain about campers, and say this and that about them. It's how real life warfare takes place, and I've always been more of a sim fan. I play COD likes it's iracing instead of need for speed. Just because most don't like to treat it like a war sim, doesn't mean that some people can't. Everytime I die it makes me mad. I want to survive entire games without dying once. If I can go 2-0 that is a perfect game. If no one on your team ever dies you would never lose.

I just finished running around each map in private games and I am not liking what I am seeing. There seems to be a lot of unnecessary clutter spread throughout each map. There are very few mid or long length lines of sight. Lots of small rooms and outdoor areas seem to be a very common design goal. Many narrow routes through each room and area also seems to be common.

Every map feels to be on a small scale, not to the smallness of Nuketown or Rust, but what either of those small maps would be if there were many more clusters of random stuff strewn throughout the map.

Maybe what I am feeling of each map will change when I am playing with other players on them. My initial impressions are definitely not good, especially since I am getting a Black Ops-ish map design feel at the moment and I did not like Black Ops map design.

I'd agree with that. Sorry Icarus, I'm really looking forward to playing with the guys again but time is so tight I can't hardly ever fit in with anyone's time constraints.

While I agree that the maps in MW3 are pretty claustrophobic, most BO maps (if not all) had a very good mix of CQC and mi-long range.

I should probably start off with saying that I did not really enjoy Black Ops. There are a multitude of reasons, with map design being one. I would not disagree that the maps on BO had a mix of close quarters and mid range, but I found the map designs to be less than stellar. The complete wash out of any colors that are not gray, brown, or dark green also hurt the cause.

I also really enjoyed using the FN FAL, but Treyarch completely ruined the weapon with the firing lockout. I cannot help that I can fire shots accurately incredibly quickly; putting a fire cap on the weapon would have been a much better solution.

The other big problem was BO came out too quickly after MW2 and I was a bit burnt on FPS at the time.

I was told that the M14 was good and it's awesome. Also been having a blast using using the MSR.

Yes it is a very good weapon! Accurate versitile and good for a various situations ( ironically just like real life) The M16 is very much the same if you get use to the burst ( just be a little more acurate)

Agree with you.

Hoping that the map pax will add some longer range stuff to the party, fully expecting the older maps to turn up though.

I expect you are feeling some BLOPS in here because they had a hand in it.
Who knows?, they probably damn near made the entire section.

I find all the maps claustrophobic to a degree, and being a camper...errr.... sniper, it means I am dying a lot more often than I am killing.
But then that used to happen anyway, even when I was playing very often on MW2.
That's not because I camp snipe.
That's because I suck.

bevo, don't even bother trying to suggest you have the definitive answer as regards controlling a map when Az is in here.
He is that good.
And will point that out, when pressed.
I think you have a good strategy, and you are right, it worx when the game suits it.
Az is right too, he can take out teams sitting in one spot controlling it.
You are both right, of course.

Imagine it: you are holding down one strategic building at a corner of Seatown, for example, and no-one can get near you...... everytime they try, you can see them coming, and pick them off. Round win, yay!

Imagine it: you are trying to get to a team holding down the two tiered building on the corner of Seatown for example, and the team keeps dying when they try to get close. You can flank, take in an explosives class, or a camper sniper class, throw the nades in over the wall, or use that new noob tube I've heard all night last night*, or pick them all off from a distance, by being stealthy and moving till you get just enough sight line.

Either or, and this is what makes for good variety in shooting games......

:irked:👍

*You know, that thing that has a massive scope with red edges on the screen when you look down it, and goes BOWOOOOOooooooo when it's fired.

I'll have to check it out when things get back up again. Getting the heavy traffic notice now, though earlier I was on Elite while playing and it was pretty cool. It updates surprisingly fast after a match, had to be less than a minute and my new stats and XP total were on the site.

If anyone wants to add me on Elite or even in game, I should be able to be found on Elite if you search for ForzaTifosi79, which happens to be my PSN. I don't mind playing with anyone, though I tend to stick to North Americans just to keep the lag to a minimum.

And it's all good CAM. I've actually stayed away from joining up with people so I could ease into the game and figure things out at my own pace without dragging people down. I'm freakin' glad I finally got Assassin though, I couldn't stand being seen on radar. Didn't take long to get it to Pro either. I feel so much more at home with my Blind Eye/Assassin/SitRep with a silenced AR. I do miss being able to have Scavenger with my invisibility, but this way sort of balances things out by not having that one perk like Cold-Blooded.

Also, apparently I created a group for GTPers from the Americas. I didn't think it actually registered but it did. All you guys from MW2 and any of you new people from the States, Canada, Mexico, Island Countries, Central America or South America who feel like joining up, the link is here: https://elite.callofduty.com/connect/group/view/24058

I think I was about 5-7 kills away from a MOAB in a Kill Confirmed match today, it's a bit unfair that there's no Title/Emblem from getting one... stupid wannabe boosters :grumpy:

EDIT: Holy crap, I'm rank 643 for Stay Sharp on PS3 in the world... 22.0 seconds.

What is a MOAB?

Edit: And I think someone said they got 27 seconds flat, I golded it in 27.1 seconds >.<

I haven't seen that before, where is it?

Youtube vids of it have been posted in here at least twice. It's a 25 kill streak that kills everyone on the enemy team, calls in an EMP and gives everyone on your team double xp until the match is over. Not game ending like the Nuke in MW2 and killstreak kills don't count towards it.

Sorry about the videos, my phone doesn't play them and I'm hardly ever able to get on the computer. I can't wait to have a teammate who gets one!

I guess the point is about the whole ''camping'' debate is everyone complains about camping and want people to play run and gun( or other playstyles). I play both styles. its no big deal really if you are experience you will have no problems with camping. Its a game, don't take it seriously its not real life. In truth a game is suppose to be fun. If you are not enjoying yourself maybe that isnt the right game for you. If you want everyone to play a certain way then maybe you should make a private room of some sort or go to another FPS. Counterstrike,Rainbow 6,Ghost Recon are good places to start ( I love all those games too by the way)
