What is the point of prestiging? I did it back in BO and hated it.

It is something to do. Plus it unlocks extra stuff. Kind of like going back through a game on hardmode or something.

Plus, when you get decent with the game, it isn't like you have to use a certain weapon or kit load out to play well anyhow.

What he said. Black Ops was a different story, because the starting weapons in that game were all rubbih compared to those you unlocked later on, so you would certainly sturggle, at least up to unlocking something like the Galil.

Don't want to bring us off topic, but try the MP5 in Black Ops with rapid fire.
Brought me up to my AUG with ease.

MW3 is the worst COD game in ages online, it's the same old, same old, nothing better than several years ago. Like they where handed a plan from COD4 and worked with that, adding a few different maps. My 15 and 18yr old sons always played all the COD games, then we got this one to try before we bought it. They said "Dad don't buy it, it's crap"
Too late because I already had it, they don't play it, I don't either, only reason its not traded-in is because I want to do the campaign if and when I get fed-up with BF3.

Cool story bro.

Talking to someone that has played FPS for near two decades, and MW3 is better than MW2 if just because there isn't a large amount of snowballing with killstreaks and the perks aren't stupid. Your kids might not like that they can sit in a corner with OMA and a tube and then get their AC130, etc. From what I've seen, MW3 rewards more intelligent FPS play where you can't stand in a spot for ages, and getting caught in the open is generally instant death. MW2 was easier to play for people that honestly aren't good at FPS games.

I'll take that game right off your hands buddy. :)

I completely disagree. I still don't see any skill being used in this game. I played Search and Destroy and Demolition with friends a long time ago and we'd make All sorts of strategies and we'd usually just get quick scoped, Dual FMGd or killed with the frisbee mines. I don't see much skill in that.

Just got 15 assists in one game. No Juggernaut, just got 15 kills stolen.

32-3 on Arkaden. Had a 30 killstreak cut off by a guy with Dead Man's Hand... :grumpy: I bet I was close to a MOAB.

You got taken out by a Bouncing Betty, I'd say that's down to your own stupidity more than anything else. They're great when people are dumb enough to get caught by them, and it seems there's a lot of people who do. Also, you were playing an objective game. You're going to find a lot of that sort of behavior in an objective game because, well, there's really only one way to win: capture or defend the objective. Most people will always go with the simplest method of achieving the goal. After putting an unhealthy amount of time into MW2, quite a bit with Azure and other guys on here, I can back up his statement 100%. It is definitely not the same game, and you don't see the kind of crap that was in MW2 with much frequency.

Compared to MW2 there is quite a bit more. I haven't seen too many issues with quick scopers etc yet. And cover helps quite a bit with them anyhow, mines are easy to see, and Dual FMG has limited range. Sounds like you just aren't playing well to be honest.

And honestly, if you are Search and Destroy, you might as well play Counter Strike.

I think MW3 is very noob friendly.

Yes, it was designed for consoles. But based on what I am seeing in lobbies, most people can't even manage a KD of 1, even when using every gimmick in the book. I've had a KD around 2 since I bought the damn game, not even knowing the maps or using any of the reflex setups with Quickdraw, etc. Why? Because I play using cover and don't run around like this is Quake or something.

Honestly the bouncing bettors are hard to spot if placed right. I just don't understand how to play this tactic wise, I was good at all the previous Call of Duties (at least some people said that) but this one I played a week and sucked the entire time. Is it better now? I got really annoyed last time I played and haven't touched it since.

Better? I wouldn't know, I've had the game for a few days and I'm level 60.

This is a harder game to play than MW2 if you want a decent KD. Snowballing is reduced because killstreaks aren't amazing now, guns drop people faster, and so on. Camping isn't as easy either because of the many routes and openings to positions. TDM is a lot more lively, as the battle does move around the map a lot more I've found.

And what is "good?"

I don't know what snowballing is... But I still thought the streaks were kinda OP. I think the spawning ruined the game for me. It seems like you'd spawn and get shot after 5 seconds.

I dunno what good is, I always thought of my self as a decent player. It was mostly my brother and his friends saying that though and they couldn't play for their lives.

Oh I hate Search and Destroy but friends I play with love it somehow.

I really think the Stealth Bomber and EMP should be put in the Assault package. Tired of people going 20 kills negative and destroying my Pavelow. 👎

What happened to all the quickscopers from mw2. I miss private match quickscope battles, and trying hard gets boring being that my kd is decent(1.2+) and I'm 2nd prestige. Anyone who is interested in someone to just chill and quickscope with add me:)

No joke, right out of the gate, I hadn't played mw2 in 2 years and I was lvl 1 and at the top 3 of the board in domination

Quick scopers are still there, ran into some today and did some of my own, but it's not as bad, problem is that there is no real map to snipe at, it's to urban and close range and all the weapons have very little if any recoil

Snowballing is using a exponential class set up. i.e. you could camp and get 5 kills for a Predator. Then get a double with that netting you 7 kills. Which gets you a Chopper, and if no one shoots it down, you could get 5 more kills, getting you a Pave Low. So from getting a measly 5 gun kills you get the best KDR in the match because you sat in once place for half the game with Assassin and a Baby Monitor :grumpy:.

That is why I use Specialist. I still get fairly high KDRs now (3-5 on average now) and I only use Specialist unless I'm using an Anti-Air class, where I use Support (for the SAM).

Cody, you're arrogant and somewhat unfriendly.
That's ok, so am I.

You might scare some people off though, because you are coming over as extremely authoritative.

Jus sayin......:sly:

I've gone from this game for the time being, as I am not good enough to use cover, and I prefer to run around like this is quake or something, but that doesn't work in MW3.

Actually, none of that is true.
I've gone from this game for a bit because I have no maps to snipe on, I don't quickscope, the areas are all cluttered, the killstreax are silly, the campers are rife (I should know, I was one) and ultimately, it rewards you for using an assault rifle, and I never was any good with those.

Basically I sucked, and there is no room in MW3 for suckers.
Only leet pwning skillzzorz, yo.

I hate quickscopers. It is the worst thing ever in any FPS. I have no idea why they put it in the game, because it makes no sense at all. There is nothing that looks more stupid in this game, then when you watch a kill cam and someone shoots you while their scope is in between being down and pulled up. There are plenty of them in MW3 though, but usually it doesn't seem to work very well for them. I haven't seen to many with a positive KD ratio, or on a wining team.

Let me guess, you also run around jumping up and down and trying to shoot someone while you are in mid air?

I disagree with that. I have been horrible at all of the COD's until this one. It's just so easy to run hardline, care package, predator, and airstrike. You almost have killstreaks being called in non stop, and the predator usually gets at least one kill and most of the time 2. I almost always get at least 2 kills with the airstike. So right there all I had to do was shoot 4 people and more then likely I have 8 kills from it and still have the care package to call in. My K/D isn't great it's around 1.5, but those first few days I had a bunch of 5-40 type games that made it really hard to get my K/D back up.
I also use to try and over think my strategy and be cautious, which got me killed more then anything. This game is all about just running around almost non stop and trying to get a 4 kill streak to get the predator. The one thing I noticed is no matter what weapon you have, all you have to do is use quick bursts, and have your scope up as much as possible while running around.

The one thing MW3n has the other ones didn't is much better spawning. I stopped playing black ops after about 2 or 3 days of getting it, because I kept getting spawn killed by either people or killstreaks. I bet in MW3 I haven't been spawn killed 10 times the entire time I've played it.

quick scoping works well on small maps too if your quick. We'll have to do a private Match sometime because It's easier without the smg people running around.

What you mad bro? My K/D is positive and last night I was averaging 1.5k/d with no less than 15 kills.
No I don't jump around all over the place.
Let me guess you creep around from one corner of the map to the other with assassin on and a silencer never once standing up.

Try quickscoping when you're on a real battlefield, and let us know how that turns out. And with aim assists (for consoles at least) it doesn't even take the "l33t QU1cK5c0p1ng 5k1LL5!!!!1111!" as is claimed by so many, rather just the abuse of a system designed to help noobs and even out performance against mouse players.

No I don't camp. I started out camping but it just doesn't work well for me. There is one guy I play with all the time though that is a pretty good camper, and does very well almost every game. I literally run around non stop with stalker and shoot anything that moves, when I come around a corner I'm usually shooting before I make it around the side to shoot any corner campers. I don't run anything that blocks me from the enemy radar, and if I haven't seen anyone in a few seconds I shoot just so I do show up on their radar and hope they come after me. I make as much noise as i can, and try to draw the action to me.

I just can't stand quicksniping because it just takes so much away from the little bit of realism I can trick myself into thinking is there. It's one thing to be a good sniper but quick scoping to me is glitching. It would be like using a car in GT5 online with a certain tweak that let it do 400 mph. It's taking advantage of the auto aiming feature put into the game to make it playable on consoles.

It's not really that quick snipers kill me all the time or anything, it's just that it seems super cheesy to use, because it's obviously there because of the auto aim. I like to think that I'm the one doing the aiming instead of the CPU for me. Plus it just looks really stupid on the kill cam, when someone shoots you without even looking down the scope with a sniper rifle. I don't know why they don't patch it out and make there be a small pause before you can fire the sniper rifle with the scope on.

How would you feel if people could walk around and just drop you from 100 yards by quick scoping their pistol. Quick sniping with a sniper rifle is no less ridiculous then that. It completely takes away from what sniping is suppose to be and should be considering a glitch in the game and get people banned from using it online. I don't find it that effective, but it's just silly to even be able to do it.

Like I said before on any non sci fi FPS, I don't know why they let quick scoping and jumping even into the games. It's really stupid when some guy is jumping around like and idiot with kimbo pistols shooting every where. Neither of these methods really seem that effective to me, but they are just so stupid to watch in action.

What was funny is that the other night I got into a room with a bunch of quick snipers and we beat them. So the next round several of us got out the grenade launchers you can reload, and guess what, the other team was pissed we were using them.

Hey this is a game not real life and it was never intended to be a sim of any kind
I have aim Assist off so yea that doesn't help me. If it doesn't take skills why can't you do it?

Get people banned what?! There is not any taking advantage of anything you're just shooting as soon as you get a sight picture, which isn't aim assisted in anyway. And if you want to play where it takes time to shoot after you zoom in play black ops, that game sucked.
Good for you at least your not a camper, but noob tubing is just as bad. It takes no skill to kill someone with a grenade launcher not to mention one that's semi auto.👎

Why is camping bad. I do it all the time, i dont see the evil in finding a spot and staying there. I think quickscopers think that they're all that but i think that they are the noobs.

I just got my K/D a thousand kills over even, which is a major accomplishment for me . I think I'm gonna also go for the gold Predator and Attack Helicopter titles, I have over 200 kills with each so far. Also under 500 kills away from 2500 with the SCAR. Biggest lol-maker of the day: this kid was yelling over the mic about how he got his first Osprey, so I shot it down freehand with RPG rockets . That, is why you go for low streaks, no disappointment when someone shoots it down.

Let's remove all opinion from this example, what you are left with is the most logically strategic way to make use of perks and kill streaks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's intelligent, really.

If you are trying to argue there is much skill involved with quick scoping, your are kind of a joke. Sorry.

And you probably hate people that run around using cover because, well, they aren't easy to quick scope because you have to aim. Kind of crazy. Sounds like you should go play Unreal or Quake instead of CoD.

Are you the type that goes prone in one spot or defends a position by moving around in relatively the same area?
