:( Only almost?

Anyway, why do so many people avoid getting ballistic vests? It is free armor and can help out with surviving.

It wastes 3.5 seconds of killing time.
I've found that it's much more effective on hard core.

3.5 seconds of me sitting there waiting to die, as people usually put them in terrible places and I'm too busy murdering the entirety of the other team to take a break.

I put mine in strategic positions such as the corner of a room or behind cover. If there are multiple people in a room, I throw it there so that they can have it. I have even been knifed by a team mate once for giving it to him.

Because of the spawning system there are no good places to put them. A few seconds after you place it your spawning point has moved and nobody can reach it.

Does anybody else have the problem that I can rarely get to use my care packages? enemies spawn way too close to keep things fast based, but the disadvantage of this is nowhere is safe, same with ballistic vests usually.

I miss the days of COD4 when there was always two distinct sides of the map with the combat in the middle. The spawning points would always be at opposite sides of the map and they would only change when one team is spawn trapped to prevent spawn kills.

Now it just seems like the maps are just one big open playground with spawning points changing so rapidly that you can't go more than 20 seconds without being in combat. Spawnkilling is way more common here than in the older games so I don't see why they changed it. Some people may like the fast paced gameplay, but it really screws snipers and AR users who prefer to keep distance between them and the enemy. Also, it really discourages team play because if you cover your team mates back you're going to have enemies spawning on you.

I might start playing Search and Destroy instead.

What's the difference between flash and stun grenades?
I usually use flash, but not sure of the difference.

Flash 'nades cause the screen to go white basically making the victim blind for a few seconds, movement is not compromised so far as I know. Stun 'nades distort the image a bit and slow down player movement. Each one is more effective in certain situations. With a Flash, if they see you throw it they can track your movement and still possibly kill you. With a Stun you have the ability to get out of trouble by slowing the enemy down and flanking or escaping. I would almost say Stuns are a bit more defensive while Flash are a more offensive, that's just my view on them.

The effective radius on the flash is also larger than the stun. I find I flash myself more than I stun myself because of this. ;)

I prefer flashes for breaching areas because they don't need to be next to the person as much as them looking at it. Which works perfectly when people are camping a room staring at the stores.

Not sure if they changed it, but in MW2 stun grenades basically applied a multiplier to your sensitivity, so high sens players were punished less than low sens players.

I figured that I would play some hardcore TDM, but that idea got thrown out of the window very quickly. Campfest. Noobtuber fest. Not worth playing at all.

Yeah, thats the problem with hardcore game types. The amount of campers go up and every launcher is a 1 hit kill. I guess they camp more because they have less health.

On MW2 I played it a lot, but I just can't remember that it was such a crappy gamemode.

It's not the campers that kill hardcore for me, it's the tubes and rockets. Why even use them? Every gun is pretty much a one shot kill anyway. It's not like it takes much skill to shoot someone in hardcore, so why break out the launchers?

Because people are terrible and want to get kills. Similar to those people that go prone in a hallway and never move from the spot. Ever.

I'm not sure how many people know this, but unless you end up being the last one, don't activate a MOAB until you become infected. Very cheap way of ending the game and killing everyone who isn't infected.

Haha! Good idea!

Now that every game has throwing knifes MOABs are a thing of the past for me. Never saw one before infected. Saw at least one in every game when infected came out, but since the switch to throwing knives no more MOABs.

Campers are fine its a strategy and its your job to find a way around it. Thats kinda my take on it stop complaining and become good enough to deal with the issue. Its like playing Street fighter. You know the dude is gonna throw a fireball or do a dragon punch so figure out what you need to do to counter it or stop them.

I can deal with campers fine. It just makes for a very boring game, and thus I prefer to avoid it.

Kind of like cheese in StarCraft - I know how to deal with it but it gets old very fast to deal with regularly.

I understand where you are coming from

Campers.

Let see, that window over there. I wonder if the same ******* are still inside. *pulls out rocketlauncher. Triple kill. Aawyeah.

PS3 1.10 Patch Released.
http://mp1st.com/2012/02/28/modern-warfare-3-patch-1-10-now-live-on-ps3-patch-notes/#comUpdate:

Robert Bowling reassured that the team behind Modern Warfare 3 is ”aware of some party chat / voice issues since update. Currently looking into it and will address anything found ASAP.”

Along with the first two Elite map drops, Piazza and Liberation, PS3 users received patch 1.10 for Modern Warfare 3.

The new maps can be downloaded via the PlayStation Store for paid Elite members. Also, a new patch was released for the PS3. The patch, which should have been 1.09, is now called patch 1.10. It’s a mandatory patch for all users, not just paid Elite users. The update will set you back 22MB in memory. The new patch adds five new prestige levels, and optimizes Elite for the platform.

Patch Notes

400 new ranks included in 5 new prestige levels.

Also adds the ability to view Clan Rank on player card in-game when enlisted in a clan on Call of Duty: Elite.
Fix for trophy system glitch.

Ability to select country flags as clan titles.

Additional network optimizations.

Additional ELITE push to game CaC validation.
Support for ELITE Clan Operations end future features.

Fixed PM issue where failed invites were preventing large parties from congregating.

Repair of writing of the games played field of the player stats so the team behind MW3 can sweep LBs and correct averages on the backend. This process will commence shortly.

Wow, it looks like Robert Trolling may finally be starting to care about PS3 over that piece of **** xbox360.

Great - now it'll take ages to get SitRep Pro. Oh, and I bet they still haven't fixed the Open Party problem. Only invites inner :irked:
