Looks like lancer has made good progress topping the table , now we move into the same car for the coming races can someone catch him .
How will the change for the guys moving into the Ferrari make a difference.
Some close points down the standings should make for a good battle to be best of the rest .

2 rounds to go and it's tight at the top @richroo. In fact it's tight throughout.

Well I think there may only be just the one Ferrari and that's LC. Harsk hasn't got the dlc and Beachboy has pulled out until the next season.

I'm not sure if the next two fast circuits are going to be kind to the Merc's engine! I think it's made of cardboard.

Thanks Paul, the cars very detailed, all over, even in the cockpit. Sick what is the whole in the roof at the back off Merc?

Hi John - fantastic photos - my favourite is the in car shot with Mercs both sides and Aston's in the distance!

That is an air vent John - air entered the cabin at the high pressure area at the base of the screen / start of the dashboard - opening the vent at the back of the roof allowed throughflow ventilation. Great attention to detail and thought for the comfort of the driver in long races by Mercedes. This photo of a real W194 shows the roof vent quite clearly.

I'm not sure if the next two fast circuits are going to be kind to the Merc's engine! I think it's made of cardboard.

This is a strange design decision by SMS - the W194 engine was in a very low state of tune so that it would be reliable in very long distance races like Le Mans and the Carrera Panamericana. The 1952 Le Mans win was quite unexpected at the time - the Mercs were slower, but more reliable than their rivals.

I'm also quite impressed with the under car model detail by SMS - I remember when GT5 cars used to turn over and they hadn't been fully modelled!

Note red points are scored by substitute driver (Simbalora for Beachboy)

A great round for Team Gregory thanks to excellent driving by @RagingBullLC and @joedakiss - amazing pace from RagingBull! @Harsk100 could have scored more highly, but was not in the Aston. Team Ireland lost out with the absences of Beachboy and @ShaunyB

Everything is to play for with the final round next week!

PS - Check out the GTD class suggestions in the thread for PC3 - I've suggested a group of interesting cars that could race with our beloved Merc 300 SL - click on the link:

Great race did some practice, Aston was okay with controller, Lotus was a little hard. I was in the wrong car, should have checked. Not sure who I cashed in too, blue Aston, blue Merc, sorry there was a bit off shadow there.

Had too pit again too repair damage, then had good fight with Jock towards the end.

I think I've spotted a problem with Monday's race results. They appear to be in reverse order. Well done Team Hill, first 4 places. :D

Not our best race!

@Harsk100 - You should be in the number 47 Aston Martin DB1/300 for the last 2 races of this series.
(I did start to type on PSN but the track began to load so I gave up.) Well done in getting the Mercedes up to 6th though.

Watched accident, team Capt in Rich hit Napalm, who then hit me, Old had nowhere to go. Lancer had just had a slip on the grass, so they fighting quite, hard. Have got bad picture, in MotoGp, at Monza, track is same as we have PC2. 73, oil had been put down in the 250, 500s, had just set off, hit the oil. Two leaders collided, crashed into hay bales and hit the armco, they were killed. 13 over bikes all went down, too, some riders injured, a black day for Monza.

Lovely John!

Weather settings for Monday 4th March at Spa
Time Progression = X5
Weather Slots = 4: Hazy / Heavy Fog / Hazy / Hazy
Weather Progression = X15

These settings give a good, natural feel - when you come to a fog patch you will be through it fairly promptly so it simulates patchy fog quite well.

Sorry Sick what car should I have been in? Good race, you just have to be careful, fog quite an intense Spa. But one those deadly tracks, if anything happens.

Congratulations to Champions @joedakiss and @lancerevoo
Mon Nassau Round 10 Spa.jpg

Congratulations also to Team Gregory!

Sorry Sick what car should I have been in?

Our class stayed in the Astons John!

I'm just reading Jackie Stewart's Autobiography called "Winning is Not Enough" - great value at £1 from a charity shop! Thoroughly recommended - contains many interesting snippets and even comes with a DVD!

Jackie crashed at Historic Spa after aquaplaning on the wet track - he crash landed in a farmyard and was trapped in his single seater with split fuel tanks. It was in the days before quick release steering wheels. Bob Bondurant and Graham Hill came to his aid - Bob ran across the track and borrowed a spanner from a spectator then removed the wheel. Bob and Graham placed Jackie on the back of a farm trailer covered in straw. The spilt fuel was irritating Jackie's skin so he pleaded with Graham to pull his soaking clothes off. Graham had just done that when a group of Nuns appeared and tried to get Jackie covered again. No Marshalls or medical staff appeared and when Jackie finally got to the Medical Centre it was filthy with the floor covered in cigarette ends! From that day until the introduction of quick release steering wheels Jackie always raced with a spanner taped to the inside of his cockpit - just in case!

I forgot to post this before the race, but hope you enjoy this rare footage of Lucien Bianchi driving an Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato around Historic Spa in 1962 (the camera car is also an Aston). At the start of the film note a VW Beetle going the wrong way down Eau Rouge - the GT cars were practising, but the road was not closed!

Ah well team Hill, never mind. After a bright start we went down"Hill" somewhat. We missed having anyone in the Ferrari and indeed the Aston for the last couple of rounds.

Are we moving on to the Ginetta's next week?
We are indeed Ginetta-ing next week. Good thing too, after 2 last place finishes I was really starting to dislike that Merc. :)

The Wednesday series continues in the same cars though.

Cheers for the reply Paul, I'm guessing it's still going to be at Donnington though?

Yeah, I know how you feel. Lancer did well to get the consistent points in that he did. I think him and I got joint best placed Merc in a race with 13 points, quite the defecit to overcome.

Yes it's Donnington Park and onwards. The lavender(?) coloured ones. Dry throughout I'm informed but there maybe still be a little rain here and there on Wednesdays! ;)

We'll all be in the same type of cars, the G40, we haven't done that for awhile.
Unless Sick let's me use the G55? :sly:

**I forgot to say before - Well done to @joedakiss on his series victory.**

Watched a documented, about Jackie Stewart, was really good, he lived near Glasgow, parents owned a petrol station. After Spa accident, went on too push greater safety, for drivers, push the promoters, which they didn't like. You just wouldn't get traffic on the road, now shows how much times have changed, when motorbikes, where there, would the road, be open for traffic?
