@Sick Cylinder - To save you time in testing. If you are swapping out the car but keeping the all American track list could I perhaps suggest to keep the theme going... The GT4 Mustang Boss 302R. I've done a bit of quick testing and that one of the two GT4 Mustangs is probably the best as a follow on from the Cobra, but with much less bite! Unlike the Cobra it's an easy car to race with and should be suitable for all. And you can see out of it pretty well. :)

The RTR GT4 is OK too, actually an easier drive, but seems too modern compared to the 302R.

If you do decide to go with that I'll have number 72. A blue and yellow stripey one.

Agreed - GT4 Ford Mustang Boss 302R it is !

Will certainly have a go before Monday.
To get a better impression of it give the tyres a couple of laps to warm up. The back end can be a little loose until then. It's better still on soft slicks (but you won't have them fitted at the start of the race).

I think that this new Mustang has two things missing from the previous one. It's got both headlights and wipers! :)

Just realized yesterday when my partner in crime asked why I didn't pack anything yet, that I'm on vacation this and the coming Monday

So I wish everyone a good race, and I'll rejoin in two weeks, if possible

Happy hols!

I've lost count of the number of times I've reported for work and been sent home by my boss due to being on holiday! - it's always a nice surprise!

fun race for me for a change :)
Same here. Nice balance between having to be careful with the oversteering nature of the car and it not being uncontrollable (for me, anyway). I still think PC2 over exaggerates how cars behave with cold tyres, but once they warm up, it was a much better car than the previous one.

Oooh! I don't think I've ever been near the top fighting for championship points before. Probably all downhill from here on. :)

Yep, that was a fun race. I tried to concentrate on not making too many mistakes. Although there was still a nearly spin and a couple of 2 wheel moments.

No pitstops @Sick Cylinder? Are you trying to replicate PC3? :P
I was going to fit some soft slicks but a pitstop would have broken up my chase of @richroo and then @AndreasR which I was enjoying. So I really didn't mind.
Not sure if @Oldbass47 got the memo though, I see he stopped.

And mentioning PC3, "optimum" tyres would have made the car shine even more (and aid the previous one). We'd also be able to run in any weather conditions without worrying about tyre choice and just adapting our driving to the conditions. So for us 30 minutes, default setup racers I actually see that as a benefit. Those who like tuning and longer endurance races will obviously not be so keen.

Looking forward to Road America. While checking out the car I did try a couple of laps around there and it seemed to suit it. Watch those kerbs though - although the TC is a boon for those.

Will the part upgrades in PC3 mean no more default setup lobbies?
On the last video - the lap at at Laguna, the pre-race screen had a "tuning default" button. So I imagine there's still going to be a no upgrades default settings option. There's also still a sandbox mode which allows you to race what you like where you like, without credits, much like there is in PC2.

And as I said above the "optimum" tyres hopefully should make many more cars enjoyable to race on default.

Oh and vintage tyres are mentioned. So it's not just one tyre choice.

@half_sourly - if you make this series have two dropped scores then anyone who skipped the rounds with the previous car won't be penalised!

Here you go. To ward off the likely questions - it'll all even out in the long run; rules are the same for everyone, etc.
I'll take feedback on mistakes, but please address your questions on approach/ rules to @Sick Cylinder.

after a lightning start it soon come to an end when i pulled out of the toe of @IfAndOr to then look in my mirror to see @AndreasR steaming down the inside , totally missed the brake point with the overspeed and locked up going into turn one.
apologies guys !
then just had clear track lap after lap so ended up getting playful and CRASH the front went and vision was impaired, race over extinguished!

@IfAndOr have you been dreaming your racing every night as you seam to have found another gear in this car !
