Nice grid. I wonder if Schumacher will get a penalty for that “inventive” strategy. :p

Should be a great race! :D

I say it openly, I'm anti-Schumacher and cheer for Fernando & Kimi, but still...

Can someone say that the "accident" he had in the very end - turning way too early, even holding the wheels straight for a long while to make sure that the car won't turn, even stalling the engine after that - that ruined Alonso's lap, didn't look suspicious? :odd:

Of course it may have been a true accident, but it was just too suitable for him, making sure that his opponents didn't get clean fast laps.

They've been showing in cockpit footage of MS run and the last turn. It was all a scam. They need to punt his ass behind his team mate for that coward move. That was totally on purpose. Crap like that shouldn't be allowed in the slightest.

I really hope MS gets his ass kicked during the race.

CONTROVERSY AT FINISH!

apparently micheals crash at the end (according to the other teams) was on purpose to disrupt the other peoples times. Reanult were calling Ferrari "a disgrace". In the press conference, when the UK ITV crew asked micheal about the incident, he looked very shifty and guilty. Reanlut have appealed to have Micheals time deleted.

oo-er!

i have to say, im a Ferrari fan but it did look a bit too.....erm......fake!

Yay Schumi!!! Top spot, exactly where you should be!! Don't hate! It was a race incident and yes it happend on the last lap! So straight away everyone assumes that it was done on purpose, typical anti-Schumacher speak! Schumacher rules.. And no, he didn't crash!!

MS and his run are now under official investigation. The rule states, if any driver hinders another driver on the track in any way will get his time removed. Renault has petition for MS time to be removed.

This ain't over yet.

In the interview, MS excuse was pathetic. He was smiling from ear to ear. Even he couldn't hide it from the press about the cheesy-ass move he made.

Alonso was pissed and not happy at the interview. Flavio is being interviewed and said Ferrari will get away with it.

On seeing it the first time I thought it looked dodgy, but the overhead cam I think is the best shot. It's simply a case of the front brakes locking, the rear stepping out and then the correction pushing him wide. Then when he's corrected the rear end, he can't exactly go back to turning in hard again, otherwise the back's gonna step out again (which is exactly what happens if you watch the steering input). I think the most irresponsible driver is Alonso, not Schumacher. Alonso didn't seem to slow down much at all, a dangerous thing to do at Monaco (Mika Hakkinen anyone?).

The look on Alonso's face was pricelesss...

I do hope he'll have his pole removed. I bet a phone call from Flavio will take care of that...

that is why I despise Schumi... pulling crap like that and probably will get away with it... he's too good of a driver to make a mistake like that... plus there's no way to prove it was intentional...

Well, three professional announcers and myself completely disagree with you. That move was 100% staged. He was moving slowly around the turn, then braked hard to lock the front tire on purpose.

I'm not fooled, and neither were the announcers. They were laughing and joking about it.

"I, erhm *grimaces*...can't explain it!"
As much as I like the racing, I crave the drama. That aside, the McLarens did quite well and Webber, too. Deceiving Bs are for BMW and Button. And I was sleeping when Massa crashed so no idea. :/

Fair enough. You have your opinion and I have mine. I'm giving my opinion on the situation but you're telling me (us) what happened. You've got no more data than I have, we (including the commentators) have seen exactly the same footage. If the FIA/Race Director looks at the footage (and more importantly the telemetry) and disagrees with me than it won't make one bit of difference to my opinion. They've been wrong before, we all know that!

Anyway, all this talk is for nothing. We all know Alonso is going to make it to the first corner first even if the start is the same order as now. Alonso's start will get him there, I believe we can agree on that at least?

His tire grip was bad. They had a harder tire on, and he was sliding all over the place. He was beginning to oversteer, and over corrected and slammed right into the wall.

I dunno, it will be tight.

Alonso won't beat Michael to the first corner, i doubt that very much!! Come on Schumi!!!

And the look on Alonso's face sure was priceless :)

Would you like to tell me (and many others) why the man, who is often said to be the greatest F1 driver ever, who has won in Monaco for so many times, makes a simple mistake and turns in so early that he has no hopes of making it?

And one more thing, if the front brakes lock, the rear end shouldn't step out - the car should go straight. Schumacher has always been known to be an excellent braker, tapping the brakes on the verge of locking so I can't se why he wouldn't have been able to do it this time. To add to the whole thing, he wasn't on a fast lap when this happened, so he had no reason to push really hard.

This sounded quite hostile but that wasn't my point.
