Most Beautiful Car EVER?

The 330 really is a classic. A car that looks great in any colour. The problem with most modern cars is that they only look good in a few colours. Many modern cars are masked in the colour black.

IMO the best colour for the 330 is that deep blue. The photograph doesn't do it justice at all. Deep blue is definitely the best colour for the classic GT Ferraris. Red is fine for the sports cars, has to be a subtle colour for the GTs.

For some odd reason, regarding the 330 GTC, I've always been partial to this configuration.

It's a boring grey w/ plain wheels & a bland look, but I love it.

To be honest, it looks great in any colour. I think what I like about the darker colours is that the chrome stands out and draws your eye to all the little details.

Ford GT40

The GT40's tagline is beating out Ferrari in LeMan, which is impressive on its own, but the way it looks is just so purposeful and so unique. It would be a legend in my book even if it had never competed.

Also in terms of modern cars any of us have a chance in owning and actually driving...

Finally the Bangle Design is paying off in possibly the most attractive design i've ever seen. The only thing that puts me off is that dent in the middle of the bonnet. Other than that, lovely

C3s have to be one of the most instantly recognizable body styles ever conceived.

Here are some of my favourites.. or the best looking car in my opinion.

First stop, the concepts..

With all the love for the Z4 here... I'd have to say...

I don't know.

I mean, the new headlights are great and all... but the old car was art-on-wheels, particularly in coupe form:

bmwz4mcoupe500.jpg

And it was the epitome of flame surfacing. Budding young visual artists could take a cue from the Z4 on the ways that line and form can draw the eye in different directions... I loved it.

The new one:

Just doesn't have the same fluidity of design...

Fluidity of design... something I covered in this article on the Mazda6:

(Okay, normally I don't pimp my articles on other sites, but I love the design of the 6...)

mazda6%20sexy.jpg

It's not perfect... no modern car really is... but it is terrific for its class because Mazda paid particular attention to how the lines and themes flowed around the car. A cohesiveness of design that served them well with the Miata, the RX8 and the Mazda3....

...which they promptly threw out the window by stuffing the oversized smiley grille on absolutely everything else this year. Ugh.

wow, I never thought I'd read something like that about the California, even less so in a thread like this. Really, a surprise.

Agreed, I can't think of an uglier high-end car in recent history. I have seen numerous examples on the road now from all angles, and while they sound good and all, they look ghastly. Of course that is my personal opinion.

The new Z4 in contrast is, in my opinion, one of the prettiest cars of the last ten years (maybe much longer). I always give them a second glance and they look wonderful with the hood up or down. Has something of a 60's roadster look to it. Gorgeous.

I agree entirely. The new Z4 isn't anywhere near as coherent, nor as characterful as the old car. I was never a fan of the roadster but coupes look absolutely fantastic on the road.

I also agree. Though I wouldn't exactly call it "beautiful", the 6 does look absolutely fantastic on the road, particularly in white. Stands out a mile over Blandeos and Insignias. I don't want to go too far down the "great looking" rather than "beautiful" route actually, but IMO the Laguna wagon and coupe are two of the best looking repmobiles on the market at the moment.

most beautiful car ever is my tigra....

Again, I wouldn't call a Tigra "beautiful", but the design has certainly grown on me. I mean, it's taken sixteen years since it was released for me to get to even that stage, but it's certainly improved with age.

Jaguar XJ13
Was that the one that had a wheel collapse while undergoing high speed testing and got absolutely totalled?

I'm going to have to go with the Carrera GT:

Design is very elegant and clean - no LOOK AT ME I'M A SUPERCAR triangular vents that open at speed like a spaceship, no ten-story tall wings towering out the back and no splitters cutting babies in half up the front.

With the spoiler retracted the CGT is gorgeous.

Agree on the Carrera GT. One of Porsche's best ever designs and one of the least pretentious supercars ever.

What?
You look at that and tell me its ugly and I will punch you.
Also the lambo miura is a very nice car.

Indeed, after it was kept in storage for so long, the aluminium wheels rusted and when they brought it out again for a promo run it fell off and the car was smashed.
But it was re-built and our own Kaz has driven it at Goodwood.

It also featured the original Jaguar V12 that all later Jag V12's were based off, which are still used today.

But even though its one of a kind and all, I think even if it was a common car like an E-Type, it still looks gorgeous. Its basically an E-type shape but improved vastly in my opinion.

"Not ugly" =/= "beautiful"

Though I'd agree that it's a handsome design.

I know, but I think its beautiful and if you think its a handsome design, then ok. Even if you think its just pretty, then ok. If you say its nothing special, well then also OK. But if you say its ugly I will punch you.
I hope you get what I was trying to say. :p

A few of my favorites...

of course, the Zondas...the F Roadster and Cinque

Ferrari F40 in white, it just makes it stand out even more than it already does

I'll also second the Carrera GT from a few posts up but I don't like it in silver, red or yellow makes the car look a lot better

I take offense to the bolded remark :D

But then again I'm not a fan of the CGT's styling so I guess that is kind of understandable. Also I feel the speed-activated vents actually make the Big Murcie look even better when they open up.

Also I'd like to add another couple to my list:
vww12_1.jpg

Volkswagen W12 Concept
slk55amg09.jpg

Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG, a car that I've always fancied since its introduction even though it's seen as a car driven exclusively by hairdressers.

True they look cool when used properly and having them open up at speed, but they look rather stupid when driving 10-15 mph or when someone leaves them opened while the car is parked.

There are some very good looking cars in here, great choices guys 👍.
Looks as if everything is being represented.

As for me,I'll stay with my beloved Muscle Cars.

add one more...white with the stripe (preferably without all the extra decals but oh well), they are extremely rare and awesome
