Most hated : Mercedes Arena at Nurburgring.

Most loved : Hatzenbach at Nordschleife, very nice combinations of left-right-left-right.

Love&hate relationship with Pouhon at Spa Francorchamps. This lefthander is so fast but also so difficult, I never took this corner the same way during a race, every lap it's a question how to approach Pouhon. There are several lines. Braking early, braking late, seeking for the apex all the time. I love it when I found it, but changing cars and it's time to discover again :D And yes, I hate it when I cant find the apex or best line through Pouhon.

Most hated: Turn 2 at Tokyo. I'm either much too slow or much too fast there.

Most loved: Pretty much all of Goodwood Hillclimb. Mainly because it's so narrow.

Most hated: the last section of Fuji, especially the two last turns... as a lot of people.

There are turns I hate in multiplayer because a lot of drivers think they are good places to try to overtake while it is a very bad idea:
- Deep forest last turn
- Trial mountain first turn
- ... And a few others were you know something bad is going to happen.

Love:
Eau Rouge/Spa
130R and Spoon/Suzuka
Turn 1, 2, 3 & 4/Eiger Nordwand

The satisfaction when you nail these corners perfectly. :D

Hate:
Turn 14/Twin Ring Motegi main track
Turn 9/Big Willow Springs

Absolutely hate these corners. I can never get a good racing line through them and always end up in the grass or sand when I'm trying to run a good lap. Usually ends in frustration. :banghead:

do people really hate the Nurburgring GP?

the outgoing seasonal i quite liked... i know a lot of the corners feel very artificial but its one of those tracks that has a nice flow and as far as modern 'fake' tracks go its not too bad

Hate:
The new Bus Stop chicane at Spa.
The final two sectors at Fuji
The first two hairpins at Motegi.
The Mickey Mouse infield at Indianopolis.
Most of Cape Ring
All of Ascari
The first turn (high speed gentle left followed by a narrow first gear turn- either kills you or your tyres)

Love
The Flugplatz section, the Klostertal section and the Karussel.
The long hairpin on Apricot Hill after the S-bends.
Eau Rouge.

Most hated:
-Nouvelle Chicane (Monaco/Côte d'Azur)
-Karussell (Nurb Nordschleife)

Most loved:
-Corkscrew (Laguna Seca)
-All Suzuka corners

What happened in '02?
They re-aligned the end of the main straight & added the new Mickey Mouse ***** section that is now turns 1 - 4.
It used to be a right hander into an opening left hand turn 2 and that took you down from what is now turn 4 to the current turn 5 (then turn 3).
Basically a butcher job to keep the F1 cars at a slow speed for the fans in the expensive grandstand seats of that track section.

I love too many corners to list, but I'm not really fond of turn 3 at Nurburgring GP since I feel like I can never get right. It feels either too wide or too much on the inside at entrance.

I'm not a fan of this one either but it's important to sacrifice it in order to get a good exit out of turn 4.

  • Hate: Brands Hatch's full layout once you turn in to enter the forest (even it's 80's layout is bad), that section spells my downfall in every race. | Sarthe's Porsche Curves. | Tsukuba's final corner when drifting.
  • Love: Ascari's third section. | Spa's Bus Stop chicane. | Panorama's Esses.

  • Hate: Sarthe's Porsche Curves.

Whats to hate about any part of La Sarthe?

My most hated corner have to be the double apex right hander that leads onto the dottinger hohe. I love the Nordschliefe, but the second apex will pull you into the outside wall if you pickup the throttle too early.

The most loved corners are for sure Eau Rouge, the esses before Tetre Rouge, and the Mercedes Arena of the GP Strecke.

The Arena is a great place to make up places at the start, especially Turn 2. If you can get inside of the exit, then you just setup the pass braking into Turn 3 and 4 and out of the Arena.

If you take the Dunlop Esses really good, sometimes (and this sounds weird) after driving enough laps at full speed you start to feel as if your whole body sinks before the bollards, and then rises with oversteer after the bollards...

That's probably my second favorite set of turns.. My number one is Tet, because you don't brake to slow down, and you don't accelerate to speed up, you use both to turn, and sometimes you see people fly wide, or brake early and brake check you..

Love: De la Sarthe Porsche Curves and T11 ( small esses after long banked right ) @ Cape Ring
Hate: Nurburgring Schwedenkreuz and last corner @ Suzuka East

In any GT game? Tough but the one I enjoyed the most was probably the right hander after the tunnel in El Capitan.

Thirty seconds in.

Watching that video brought me back to GT4. I miss El Capitan. It was my test track, I tuned there. Why is it gone ?

My favourite part is the Last section from the bridge to the straight.

I hate that 1st corner at the ring in 24h configuration i did so many laps on the ring and i never managed to get that friggin corner right, besides that my love goes to every other corner in game

People seem to hate corners because they're "difficult" or they "can't nail it".
But that's what a good turn should be!

Try to do it. Fail. Try to do it again. Fail again. Do it. Fail. That, 1000 times more, until you, finally, nail it and a big, big smile is drawn on your face while you say to yourself YEEEEEEEESSSS!!! and feel the need to tell everyone that you finally have done it.

And in the next lap, fail it. And you then commit suicide.

That's the true magic of a corner, being challenging. Easy turns will never be good ones.

My most hated corner is every turn on Brands Hatch. I just can't get them, but mastered T1 apparently.

Most loved, the s-curves on Cape Ring. The banking just flows, and the appexes are just so satisfying to hit.
