Gt5 should update or dlc with avalible motor swap like forza 4 (3 rotor 20b Fd3s )

We've been over this a million times. I'd love to stick a 351 Cleveland from the Mach 1 in the GT350R.

This has been dicussed, but I feel that the abuse of this feature would ruin the game for purists.

Put it in the Feedback section at the top and vote for it.

Yep Yep Yepp!

It'd be worth a comsumer e-mail to PD about it in GT6, but as for now I'm fine with mileage and oil changes.

As I said in the other thread, I'd be okay with the feature so long as the only cars that could swap were the Red Bull and the 2CV.

To heck with the Cleveland it's a great motor don't get me wrong, but I'm thinking big, like 429Cobra jet, or 440 big block!! But honestly I would be happy the Cleveland or even a small swap like a 289 HIPO!

2CV with an X2011 engine, that'll be fun!:scared:

It boils down to options, give players the option. Online racing for example; if you'd like to race stock vehicles vs. stock vehicles, then specify in the menu (which should be expanded to engine modifications vs. suspension tuning, someone will slap on all engine mods and use the limiter to bring HP back down, but compare the torque values, but that's another arguement).

If someone would like to drop a V8 engine in a Ford Focus, go for it. If not, then don't. Same goes for drivetrain swaps. Want to make that Focus a WRC car, go for it (this could also serve as a way around licensing issues if there were a problem).

I personally would enjoy having the option.

Manufacture swaps only plz.... And drive train swaps too plz.. Its a part of racing they can simulate this

My little beetle would be very fast if I mount the bugatti's motor... I got 2 bugatti's anyways.

How would a V8 fit in a Focus?? So much for realism. I'd like engine swaps, only by manufacturer or size. Nothing unrealistic, no stretching chassis, no anything that affects the body.

It does fit, but barely. I think there are kits. I have a FR V8 Focus near me. Odd seeing thick tires in the back.

I'd love it, but first they need to get the 4-barrel carb effect right. It's not a smooth transition from 1/4 to full throttle -- it's a punch at 3/4 - full and it's been neglected every GT game. If they get this right, they can adopt engine swaps.

X2010 with 2cv engine, that will be fun.

This is how. 4.6L V-8

Polyphony Digital + Engines Swaps = RB26 in everything.

I call it.

Wouldn't you have to stretch the engine bay or at least remove some parts to make it fit? I'd figure a I4 wouldn't have the space to fit and extra 4 more cylinders.

My uncle has a '76 Chevy Nova with a upgraded LT1 engine in it, he had to stretch the engine bay and remove some parts to get it to fit.

Edit, seen the pics.

Don't think so. Forza 3 was a bit over the top on drivetrain swaps and poerplant swaps, but they dumbed it down in Forza 4 to a point were AWD cars are placed higher and over-powered motorswaps are removed/replaced.

Can it work? Yes. Though it would depend on how PD implements it and how the community handles it. Definitely would give the "slower cars" a chance to prove themselves and be used more often...V6TT 'Bus anyone? :dopey:

It would be great,as long as you could change the size and width of the wheels/tires also. I miss my GT3 hybrids, that was the best! Some times I fire up the PS2 and play just for old times sake.
