My answer varies. If they are making another tt game I would say no, if I found out that they only why I could play another PD game with bikes was through dlc on gt5 I would say yes.

I have been writing about 15 minutes and now all is ·$"·$%"$"$*^¨^*¨Ç¨ :(

I wrote about now we can have the option to drive cars, but if motorbikes are includes, we don't lose this option
More is allways better

If you don't like to race cars and motorbikes at the same time, don't do it but if people want to do it, why not to make this posible to this people??

I can't understand people saying they will buy TT2 but not this DLC...Why if this is the same?
If you have the option to race only bikes, you have a TT2. If you have the option to race only cars you have GT5 and if you have the option to race any of the other options you are having 3 games in one.... so is better!!!!!

Bikes don't means don't increase the cars in the game (We have 1000, why not to make happy a few people without losing our GT5 options)
I trust Polyphony they have enough quality to make this game perfect with motorbike physic perfect. They have changed it to make karts possible in the game, so including bikes can do it in the same way

When we think about this, we only have arcade games with this option, so the comparison is not psychologically fair because we think about this kind of races, but PP can do it perfect

And I know we are going to have a Tourist Trophy in the game

Audi liked the bikes too, so the have called his car TT for Tourist Trophy (I know there was a car race too, but TT is for the bike's race)

In the future, why nor truck race too?
Could be perfect to race trailer against trailer, to be the first in arrive with all the cars we are waiting for (I rode about you have to wait for the car in the GT5, no?). And if you have an accident, all the cars in the trailer are damaged :D

Could be a good option :P

PS: We will have a Tourist Trophy in the game.......
Audi has named his car TT because the likes Tourist Trophy too ;)

Actually the Audi TT really means Tourist Trophy and that name is a resurrection and a nod to the NSU TT ( which got taken over by VW in the sixties ).:)
Agree with the rest of your post by the way.👍

Gran Turismo: Trophy Edition, don't see why not? ^__^
Bikes and cars could have separate career modes, and then have events that pit the two against each other. This would actually be pretty cool, but they would have to include a MotoGP style accident system for the bikers.

A few bikes would be fine with me, just don't include them in car races. I've never owned a game that accurately simulates the performance of a motorcycle. If you have the major forms of racing down from NASCAR, Rally, Go-Karts, and Formula 1 (Sort of,) what would a few motorbikes hurt? Unless of course they could forget the bikes and extra premium cars, and put in some Indycars. That would be cool, considering they have IMS. Anyone wonder what a Indycar race would be like at Daytona?

My motto in GT5 is "More is better"
But I think Motorbikes are bit too much because its a CAR game not MotorCycle game like TT. So no. I think Cars are enough, also More Premium the better.

At the end of the day PD has shown bikes in GT with GTHD. They've had the idea of putting bikes into the series already. So i'd think that they'd known better than anyone if bikes belonged in it.

I have a bike love to ride them but I don't wan't them in GT5. It's a car game IMO.
No, in the end if you love bikes you will get a water down experience because there will be less features that are bike specific, since everything is dumped into one game.
Thus will be less attention to time & detail that would make the game better.
These. No bikes in Gran Tusismo, and no cars in Tourist Trophy.

Whether they ( Kaz and company ) know or not, in my opinion bikes belong in TT2 and not in a Gran Turismo game.

From the Main Disc. Thread

analog posted:

"What wouldn't fit together in one game would be cars and fridges, cars and cats or cars and coffeetables.

Cars and motorcycles both are machines aimed only ( at least within the context of a videogame ) at providing driving/riding pleasure which despite being completely different in how they arrive doing that share a lot of similarities and history too, and a largely overlapping demographic who are enthused by both."

I responded:

Not to mention a number of people talking about motorcycle engined karts. The attitude I find disappointing is, finding it okay to take from motorcycles without attributing anything to the original. Westfields use motorcycle engines as do many other companies (Radical).

Also, how would you be able to drive a motorcycle with a wheel?? They will force you to use the most unrealistic mode of game play ever... the DS3!!

It actually would be neat to have motorcycles and cars on the 'ring at once; just like real life. It won't be happening. I'm sure of it! :D

Man, does this sound like the NASCAR debate to anyone else?

Anyway, maybe someone who is more familiar with bikes could be more specific, but my feeling is this.

How long does it take to model a bike if you are PD? Well, I would guess a quarter to one fifth of the time that it takes to model a premium car. Also, how many bikes are really needed? I would guess 15-20 would be more than sufficient. So, assuming that PD asked a team to work on that, and that team made 20 bikes... You could make a reasonable guess that it took them around 3 months for every two bikes. Which means we would miss out on a total of one premium car for every 4 bikes created. So, 20 bikes is equal to 5 premium cars.

That estimate is surely on the high side. So, it may be more like 3 or 4 cars that would be missing because of those 15-20 bikes.

That is also assuming that they were modeled from scratch (premium). A more likely scenario is they would be models from TT (standard). If that is the case, which is more likely since we saw bikes pictured in the GTHD shots, then no one is really missing out are they?

So, with all of that said, I do not see how anyone could say they don't want bikes in GT. Personally, I hope that GT represents every form of racing. Especially those that share the same tracks anyway.

Give me a classic 'Beemer' on the ring. Sure I won't be able to use my wheel, but I won't care. It will be a nice change of pace and something else that will be fun.

Also: Everyone needs to understand that Standard cars are not upgraded to Premium. Standard cars are previous models that are ported to the PS3. Premium models are built from the ground up.

I voted no bikes. If they want to do bikes, do it as a separate game.

A bike game, with free roam (like RDR) would be pretty cool. ;)

If Polyphony Digital wants motorcycles, then they should create Tourist Trophy 2. (As fantasized by many users.)

I selected no. I really enjoyed Tourist Trophy and I love the Gran Turismo series but I would like them to stay seperate creatures. The only way would be if all races would be kept seperate and then whats the point?

Even for multiplayer track days I wouldn't have too much fun with it. It would be fun but very frustrating, I already get mad with people bumping me, imagine if every time one of these rammer's or maybe just less skillful people hit my when I'm on a bike. I would be seriously pissed, you get bumped off track by a car hit a wall and fly off your bike. By the time your back up to speed your 10-15 second's behind.

Granted it would be a great addition IF everyone controlled thier vehicles with care and precision but sadly this will never happen. I say keep them seperate and bring Tourist Trophy up to GT5 levels.

So, you would buy TT2 and just not race online?

Or maybe I just misunderstood, and you mean you're in a bike and a car bumps you online?

Personally, I don't think the two would be mixed any more than karts and cars.

Yes I ment a car bumps me (sorry about not being too clear).

As for the karts I'm not too sure you won't be able to mingle with other car's.

I see alot of people (not aimed at you) saying ok if you have karts why not bikes. My answer is the karts are just mini car's and I believe they were only added because alot professional drivers start off in a kart series and then work thier way up.

I'm not saying bikes don't deserve to be in GT, I'm saying they deserve to have a game developed specifically geared towards bikes. I would gladly pay for a full bike game with 500+ bikes and all GT tracks it would be amazing.

just posted this in the general GT discussion thread, but certainly more appropriate here:

i don't know if this has been mentioned, but PD themselves have differentiated the two, simply by the phrase after the respective titles:

Gran Turismo - The Real DRIVING Simulator

Tourist Trophy - The Real RIDING Simulator

so IMO, as much as I would like bikes as well (being an avid rider myself), this isn't the game for it.

Ok, thank you for the clarification. I understand what you mean now. 👍

We love cars
We love cars
We love cars

And bikes too!!!

FAIL

Make Tourist Trophy 2 if you want a bike sim and leave GT5 and beyond alone.
(personally I would have left the karts out too but that's just me)

If they have the time and resources let them add them. I'd finish that with who cares, but obviously it has ruffled the feathers of many. I honestly don't see any harm. I'd never buy TT as bikes don't appeal to me in a full game capacity but I'd pay a reasonable amount to use them in GT. It's DLC, you have the OPTION to get it or not, and I frankly haven't seen a worthy reason for their exclusion.
