Have you actually PLAYED Tourist Trophy to be calling it old crap?
I think he means "previous generations".
GT4 and TT surely is PD's peak of creation. They think its so good the assets even used for 2 gens ahead,
Honestly, TT models just need better textures and they would do great as GT6 DLC.
And I could pay $30 for this DLC alone.
Cruising the Nordschleife in a Scooter? Yes, please.
As I said, I don't mind if motorcycles are in GT6: This would be awsome. For example, the cars and bikes are raced together in a track day of Nurburgring.
But here's the rub. Would certain manufacturers allow this? I mean it's all well and good having a Suzuki racing bike up against a 458, but Ferrari tend to get very... Annoyed at this sort of stuff so it might turn into 2 separate communities in one game.
I think so. But in my opinion, there should be 2 options:
1- Cars and Bikes together! (For me and for who wants this option)
2- Cars and Bikes in sepparate communities.
Yesss. Finally someone put this thread up again! Since updates I come with new ideas!
How about TT2 featuring motorcycles with gauges and racing numbers! Looks good on superbikes you know
Leave GT6 on 4 wheels.
There should be, but that doesn't mean there will be.
Licensing is a pain to sort out for game makers, so there will be a lot of restrictions in the way of what they may want.
I really would like to see TT2
Well, PD were supposedly on the Isle of Man a few months back, so... we could be seeing motorcycles in GT7 perhaps
Now Milestone have announced Ride, it could be the carrot PD need to bring it back. It would be a much more viable task to have it on PS3 and even if it was merely a HD update I'd be all over it. I still play TT from time to time, cause I just love the two strokes.
PD should take a look if this ends up being well received and start thinking about a TT2 or, in my opinion, the best, implement TT in GT7
Exactly what I'd want, have the motorcycles/TT aspect integrated into GT7, and I think that's feasible on the new-gen hardware. It'd please the fans and might even be good for PD from a marketing perspective - they'd essentially be selling a TT game and a GT game, but coming as one package.
Gsxr vs skyline drags on ssX... who do i write the check to?
I think you're correct, I'm completely over GT6 let's add bikes to gt7. Come on PD!!
Yamaha Scooter Vs Suzuki Cappuccino. Come on its exciting.
I'm in a grind for a CBR600 now so.... Why not?
I say a picture of Kaz looking through a mirror at the reflection of a motorcycle through the reflection in a girls eye. This must mean motorcycles will be in GT7
I wish too
Imagine if we could race in a Porsche with GSX 1300: It would be exciting and awesome!
There are, actually, all sorts of interesting comparisons to make.
That one drag, for instance, has a stock 'Busa (with chunky pilot) against a fettled 997 turbo.
One-wheel-drive versus four-wheel-drive.
Front-mid-engined versus rear-engined.
150 bhp per litre NA versus 1.5+ bar turbo.
250 kg (plus rider) versus 1700 kg
200 bhp versus 750+
Small frontal area, high drag coefficient versus large frontal area, low drag coefficient.
Then there are corners to consider.
I could imagine comparative laptimes being of interest.
Me too, but if GT7 will include also the Motorcycles and Vehicles together, then this could be an merged GT7-TT2.
I really would like to do some races with a bike against the cars.
I highly doubt such thing is possible, pd always had difficulties in rendering realistic incidents, let alone simulating a rider/driver collision. PoDi on isle of man could easily lead to a TT2 to try out this new generation or we' ll eventually get a isle of man rally.
Motorcycles would be a welcome addition in GT7 but wouldn't really work racing alongside cars.
What they could do is implement motorcycle career events or a separate career altogether. And in using them online, have them as an option under the restrictions menu in the same way you can limit people to only use Karts.
i leave this here...
VVV had an early look at Ride back in December. He's a good reviewer so it's worth a look. Keep in mind it was a work in progress at the time:
