Yes agreed, Seeing cars spin off and rejoin after making human error is getting rather boring, The upside to the new circuits is usually minimum safety car laps, but it almost means you can drive like an absolute prawn and still get away with it,
As far as VIR is concerned, It is in desperate need of a safety upgrade, when you see a margin of a few feet between a near miss and seriously injuring marshals at that speed something needs to be done, not suggesting a huge run off area, but a sand trap or some sort of "obstacle" or moving the marshal post point elsewhere,
Exactly on the first point which I get why they like run offs to slow the car down BUT it also allows bad driving.
The 2nd part I think moving that stand down the track some would made the most sense as it's not like you can't see cars off through that area being so open but cars are coming straight at you for most part so either way it's never going to be good.
