Roberto Ravaglia with a BMW M3. Depends whether you consider the World Touring Car Cups to qualify, if you do then the answer might be Paul Radisich.

Ravaglia is running the BMW Italy/Spain entries in the WTCC this year for Garcia and Zanardi.
 
Roberto Ravaglia is correct, as he won the only WTCC in 1987. I would have also accepted Frank Biela in 1995 as he won the last World Cup.
 
There was a WTCC in '87 fought out between Ford and BMW. They argued bitterly over the rules and the eligability of the cars and the series was downgraded back to the ETCC for the following season.

Here's my question: Which race series was won by Niki Lauda and Nelson Piquet in the only two years it ran?

Uhh, he finished 13th at Monza, 1 lap down, in a Brabham in 1991.

He finshed 2nd in 1992 though.

EDIT: Yes, you caught me out. In Formula 1 he finished 13th in 1991. However, in the April of 1991, he co-drove two Jaguar XJR14s in the Monza 1000kms, and finished first and second.

Yes, Yuichi, it was Lance Macklin. Hawthorn pitted to refuel, causing Macklin to serve into Levegh's path, starting the accident.
 
haha we tried to be tricky did we...

in 1963, the first race at bathurst was held and won by Harry Firth and Bob Jane in a Ford Cortina, though this race wasnt a 1000, infact it was the Armstrong 500 miles. It wasnt until 1973 until the race changed to the HARDIE-FERODO 1000 where it was won by Allan Moffat and Ian Geoghegan in a Ford Falcon XA GT. It has changed names since (depends on the sponsor at the time), its now the Super Cheap Auto 1000 for now ( 6-9th October) GO HOLDEN

looks like u guys need a new one..... it was a 'timing chain' that broke.. under the old grp A regulations holden could only use a single row timing chain instead of a double they used in grp C... moving on..

How many Grand Prix did Tiff Needell start in?
