I'm going to forfeit this question for lack of understanding... as I told my first girlfriend, it's not you, it's me... I just don't get it.

is there a margin of error? I'm going to go with 98 (I'm not just throwing numbers, I did the math)

sorry for the double post... ah, there's the edit button

I could name more than 5:

ABS, launch control, active suspension, CVT, ground effects, turbochargers, superchargers, slick tyres (for now), pit-to-car telemetry.

Sorry for being smug.....

Indeed 👍

p.s. You forgot automatic gearboxes, fans (Brabham fan car), cars with more than 4 wheels and 4 wheel drive cars

And the list goes on...

Moveable aerodynamic devices
Left-right brake balance
Torque Transfer systems
Beryllium engine linings

Traction control, although it's back at the mo... and so on and so forth. Hope Yuichi returns with a question soon or we'll double the length of the thread with banned devices.

I've always wondered about that. Surely David Coulthard's chin should be banned then?

I promise not to pick on David again :nervous:

Anyway, how about engine sizes as well... no more 750/1500cc supercharged, and no more V12 engines. The 10cm. flat bottom on cars... although that's not something that was removed, but rather imposed.

Clues:

- There was only one other driver to have his championship stripped away from them.
- The driver is Swedish.
- The year was 1996.

BTW, Mulsanne, Enge was relegate to 3rd in 2002 for failing a drugs test for, of all things, marijuana.

zoxxy can go ahead.

BTW, didn't Montoya also get the shaft on a few occasions during his F3000 career? I seem to remember a couple of races where questionable calls affected his championship hopes.

since we're questioning past questions, I have a question for Yuichi. Remember a few months ago you asked a question regarding disqualifications? Something like If Button and/or Sato are disqualified from last race, who was the last driver to be disqualified prior to them? and the answer was David Coulthard, Brazil 2000... what about the Williams and Toyota teams last year I think... remember, they got diqualified for using too big brake discs or somehting...

Oooookaayy... thread revival time... How many countries have had a driver enter a Formula 1 Grand Prix, which country has the least and who represented that country?

For example, Narain Karthikeyan has represented India on 14 occaisions, and is India's only GP contestant, so India's total is 14. Zsolt Baumgartner has entered 20 GPs, and being Hungray's only F1 driver, gives Hungray a total of 20.

Hope all that makes sense :boggled:
