true... it was a sculpture. That's what he attacked her with.

She defended herself with... gah. It was another sculpture... a bust of someone.
EDIT: A bust of Beethoven!

What movie is this image from?

None other than the man. That image goes further back than the movies im interested in, so that being said there is no way i will be able to get this one.... :(

And that movie is?

Looks like the guy from revenge of the nerds, but i have no clue what its from.

Actually, Revenge of the Nerds would've been my answer... especially since the guy in the back has a very 80s belt.

Better off Dead

A small bit actor from "Boondock Saints" starred in a movie spoof bearing his screen name. What movie was the spoof based on?

I got a few questions over msn as to who the guy was... no, it's not Humphrey Bogart or Cary Grant. It's Jimmy Stewart, and the girl is Grace Kelly.
Seriously?

Geez people, they did make movies before Star Wars. You should check them out. Most of them are better than 99% of the crap they make today, and you might learn that half the movies you think are great and creative are really just remakes or blatant ripoffs.

Maybe I just got upset because Jimmy Stewart is my all-time favorite actor.

Harvey and I will just go down for a nip at the pub and be back when I have calmed down.

Was this spoof made before or after Boondock Saints?
Boondock Saints was made before the spoof. The spoof is not of Boondock Saints. Boondock Saints had a bit actor who started in a Spoof bearing his name. I'm looking for the original movie that was spoofed. As a clue, the Original movie that was spoofed, and Boondock Saints, were released in the same year.

Better Off Dead it is!

Good to see you back, Der Alta!.

Haven't seen Boondock Saints yet, so I can't guess yours. I take it's a great movie by how many here have seen it.

You wouldn't happen to be talking of Ron Jeremy? Because he's played in a truckload of movies that are borderline remakes ;)

You've got the right character, now connect his movie to the Movie Spoof, then the Movie that was spoofed.

It is good to pop in and see what's going on. I miss GTP and am trying to free up time to spend it here more often.

Boondock saints is one of those movies that either you hate it or love it. I hate it. Reason being is because its just a rip off of every good movie in cult history, especially Pulp Fiction, which is an epic film:tup:

See, I didn't like Pulp Fiction... I usually don't like Tarantino films, and Pulp Fiction is the most Tarantino-esque of them all. Then again, I thought Boondock Saints was an OK movie.

Ron Jeremy appeared in a movie called Rainwoman 14 in 1999... which I'm going to say is a Spoof on Rain Man?

Nope.

I'll do some googling later... I'm currently listening to the Hitchiker's Guide audiobook :D

... or maybe someone else will answer?

Considering this is reaching the 24 hour mark and I really went with an obscure question, I'll pop the answer and turn it back over to you for the next question.

The Actor in Question, is indeed Ron Jeremy. In 2003 he starred in a movie called "Being Ron Jeremy". This movie was a spoof of "Being John Malcovich"

oh well, I'll extend the courtesy and make the next question rather easy:

What movie is this image from:

as far as I know, it's an original... the car was made one year prior to the movie, if that's any help.

And according to IMDb, the movie's original

That's what I thought it was too, but there was a remake of this film. As it turns out, it had the same title, so asking if it was remake or an original was a moot point. Doh!

Venari got it right. Vanishing Point it is!

The scene with the helicopter is at the beginning... and at the end of it.

Hmm. Okay.

Simon Pegg of Hot Fuzz fame has appeared in two big box office zombie flicks.

Name them.

I'm going to say Shaun of the Dead and Diary of the Dead... although he was the voice in the last one.
