I don't usually join the party chat because I don't have a mic. Plus I'm easily distract. So I really like people talking to about random things while I'm racing.

I honestly don't think I will need much help. Everyone in league should be experience with our format by now.

If anything I may need someone to play greeter so I get some practice. And to remind me to save the results. Rinsky's is usually the one to do that. So I may forget after racing 90 minute race.

Even F1 allows that Eau Rouge due to the nature of that section. They allow don't them any farther than the curbs though.

Honestly I more complaints about the lack of penalties at Red Bull Ring. Everyone that runs wide and think they should have right keep there spot and shove their way back onto the track. I like Red Bull Ring but, I hate racing online there agaist the tropical GT Sport Mode crowd.

You can consider those racing etiquette videos an absolute failure. As someone who considers the FIA a bit too strict in some aspects. I really wish they actually live monitored the championship races.

You can easily stay in bounds thru Eau Rouge if you lift a little so it's not like it cant be done, it just seems to me that is an example of where there should be a penalty for 4 tires outside of the white lines.

You're missing my point. At LeSarthe for example or any track for that matter its ridiculous to even bother putting the white boundary line on the track if you can put all 4 tires over the line without penalty. Even worse you can put all 4 over the stripe in some areas without penalty yet in other areas you are penalized. What exactly is the meaning of the track boundary stripe? It is OK to cross over in some areas but not every area??? That makes a lot of sense.

So its probably been obvious I've been really really busy lately. I'm back to work but not on my normal schedule yet so between that and having to watch my kids I just don't have time to play any game.
Things will be going back to normal for me in about 3 weeks from now but until I won't be on much.

@Cold Warrior Thanks so much for holding the league together while I've been away. Sadly I will not be racing tonight but I should be back for our next race in July. Please make sure to take screen shots of the finishing order tonight and post them for me so I can update the points.

I think it was a good race. I didn't see much of it. I wish I would have started on RM it may have been a bit different. I knew I didn't have the speed so I saved fuel and did 6 lap stints. Being that I was on RS to start I took RM on lap 6, fuel only on lap 12. Lap 18 RS and fuel. The last 5 laps were obviously my fastest of the race, but also my personal best at the track and I was cutting the distance down on 9th place. Wonder how it would have worked out with only taking tires on 2 stops instead of 3.

In either case it was fun even though it was 99.999% solo run.

This is a Gr.1 class 500 km night endurance race Tokyo Expressway East Outer Loop.

Any Gr.1 class car may be entered. No restrictions or limits on models. Balance of power (BOP) will be active. Tuning is allowed. TCS and ABS Allowed.

Race length will be first lap over 500 km or 310.5 miles comes to a total of 69 laps. Estimated completion time 1 hour 55 minutes.

I kinda am, I only get to race on weekends and have not had a chance to run laps there yet in a GR1 car, I would definately be a back marker. If I could run decent laps there with only an hour of practice I would be very interested. My strategy would be conservative lap times and hoping not to crash cause I know I will not be fast with so little practice.

You will need car that is good on both the long straight and in the many high speed corners to get good times.

I recommend of the Peugeot 908 or one of Gr.1 VGTs that good on the straights.

Make sure to adjust your gearing for the long straight and tune your car for where it is weak.

I don't recommend the modern hybrids LMP1. Speeds are too high for most of the track to make use of their needed hybrid boost and the only few heavy brake zones to recover your boost in.

If you still want to use of the hybrid LMP1 I would go with the Porsche as it can recover it boost while accelerating. Run a low downforce setup to increase top speed.

As for Group C cars. They are great on the long straight but they lose a lot of time in the high speeds corners. If you wish use one of these recommend the Nissan. Run a high to max downforce setup to minimize time lose in the corners.

If can I will try to extend practice / qualifying. It will take a few laps to understand how fast you can drive Gr.1 cars here. This race is not for the faint hearted.

From experimenting. This is the only track I have a place where wall riding can be successful in one location. I would not recommend wall riding with heavy damage.

Gr 1 cars out preform my abilities. Tokyo has never been one of the enjoyable tracks, I have a hard time identifying the line. But I will see if I can make respectable times and make a call then.
