It's only 2WD? I thought it was 4x4 lol. I think those extra cap peices would look awesome on it. On the back 2 wheels, you should put some Ford mudflaps/splash guards and on the sides where you took off the tube step up you should put on a diamond plate foot step/runners, similar to this (these would be perfect):
But instead of extending to the rear wheel, have it cut off at the end of the cab. For widening wheels, the best you can do is buy some sort of suspension kit. You can't go bigger than 33's on these old Fords without getting some sort of lift kit (believe me, we tried it, 35's and it wouldn't turn, and we wanted to go bigger), and a with a 3 inch lift or bigger, the driving feels extremely different. Right now our current specs are:
33x12.5R16.5LT
Which is the biggest you can go.
Any bigger (and we have a half inch lift now) and it won't turn. 12.5 is the widest you can safely go without issues. What are you running now?
These are chromes, ours are white with red paint, like second picture but with red on the inside, 2 tone.
Obviously these aren't the rims we are using, but these tires are the ones, and those are the 33X12.5R16.5LT's. These tires are Cooper Discoverer Radial LT's and freaking AMAZING in the summer, but are really loud in terms of humming. For winter, get a second set of rims and get Cooper Discoverer A/Ts if you can find them since they were discontinued, or Discoverer ATR's which are the next best.
Also consider picking up one of these for the front of the truck, it helps the bugs and actually works, and looks great! We've got 2 (both broke though after 26 years) and are red, they come in smoke, black, and red.
