my friend came into my room when i was doing the license andi was say

Tried out the FTO for ya. R1, stock. Caught up with the A4 touring car after appx 2mins of racing. (the TT is a bit sharper, so maybe 2.5-3mins for that one I guess if it starts in pole pos.)
1. lap in 7:28. 7s lead. This car is not as good a driving experience as the FORD RS200 Rally Car '85 was.
 
i'm on the final mission in AI i almost got a gold on my first try but i went off track right before the finish line.

ok done i have the IA now and got the NISMO 270R '94

You get 200 points for this race against lineup 1 (PAL GT4)

it is a nice challenge

is the PAL version different fomr the NA version? i have the NA version of the game.

Falken's a maybe although I wouldn't suggest it.
GT40 is out. WAY too much.
Mazda6 is worth a try. From your list, that would be my choice. It'll be tough though, a lot tougher than the Wedsport. Try it out and let us know what happens!

mazda6 has good handleing but can't keep up with the rest of the cars to well.

i don't remeber but my NSX had better times. as you can look erlier my NSX got 7.12.xx.

Right... but the NSXes tires didn't last!

AIUI, the AI is getting about 7'22 per lap in the M3 GTR, although when I was testing the Altezza Touring Car, the Audi TT was right on my tail w/7'19s.


So, let's just say 7'20 if the TT is there.


So... like I was saying before, there's two basic ways to approach this championship and get competitive races.

1) Road car w/little to no downforce that's a lot of faster than the competition BUT you'll pit a lot.

In this case, say you pit 2x as much as the AI on R1s or R2s (IMO, don't bother with R3s). So, say you pit on every THIRD lap and they pit on every SIXTH lap.

You need to make up the 30-40s every other pit. That means you need a car that can turn a 7'00 to 7'05 lap.

2) Race car w/appropriate downforce and Pits every 5-6 laps on R1s (hopefully 6!).

In this case, you just need to match the AIs laptime of about 7'20 lap.


Just because the NSX got better lap times, doesn't mean you would LOSE! You only went TWO laps with the NSX before you had to pit, right? Say you could sustain 7'10s with the NSX. But you lost btw 1'00 and 1'20 every 6 laps. That means the AI has an extra 20 seconds PER LAP it can work with.

In other words, if the AI is getting 7'25 laps, it'll beat your NSX.

since they were hard tires the car couldn't grip as well so they wern't as good. mabe 7.18.xxx bu we were right in fron of the Audi TT(2nd place car)

I got it! Buy the fastes Lexus IS200 car and beat the Toyota Altezza race :D

In front... until you had to pit, 3 laps before the TT did, yes?

So if you still really like the NSX, you could consider
a) buying a wing to get some downforce and see if'll make the tires last long enough (doubtful, probably get you an extra lap)
b) buying an extra Turbo and see if you can get your lap times down to the 7'05 range.

You can buy the fastest IS200 and walk through the Altezza Race.

No, you don't need to upgrade the prize car you receive... apart from buying R1 tires that is.
