blockbusters...status is 'Order Processing' , still hopeful of getting it on Wednesday
 
My Amazon.co.uk order is still sitting at:

Not yet dispatched
Delivery Estimate: 23 Nov 2010 - 24 Nov 2010

Been on order since August. Bit worried now if others have received dispatch notes and mines still waiting to be processed....

What gets me is those in America who visit the shop and pay off their preorder well in advance.

These shops are just earning interest on your money. It adds up to quite a lot.

Given how low interest rates are, they might as well make something on money i can't get interest on, unless I tie it up for several years and even then get something like 3%. Ooh.

What?! You shouldn't have to sign for the CE! I've not had to sign for similar, or larger parcels in the past. I.e. My DFGT from Amazon UK wasn't signed for.

I'm scared now..

Sorry, my mistake. Of course it won't need to be signed for but our postal service won't leave something if it doesn't go through the letter box. They'll leave a delivery notice if no one answers the door.

Mine got dispatched by Shopto.net today so it'll be coming through my letterbox on Monday. The horrible thing is I'm in London on Monday and Tuesday so effectively getting it early just makes the wait worse since i won't get to play it until Wednesday anyway ):

Thats why I dont pay in full till that day. Just the minimum. My money stays with me as long as possible, but I can understand some people paying it off if they had the money then.

My postman often signs my parcels himself. I don't particularly mind as long as they get delivered because I never hear him knock anyway and I'd rather he did that than took my game away again.

to summarise, if i get my se edition on:

Monday - i'll likely cream myself

tuesday - i'll be incredibly happy

wednesday - i'll be satisfied

thursday - disapointed

friday - angry

anything after that you'll be able to reach me at rehab department of the local psychiatric ward.

My order is being processed too but I have no chance of getting it early. I didn't select mail delivery so I have to come and collect it myself. Good thing is that I'm sure to have it on the 24th. :)
 
hmmm. I have the CE on order from Amazon UK. Still says not yet dispatched.
 
If it says ''picked and packed'', that means it was probably your copy that they unboxed. HAHAHAHA

Got the day off work booked for Wednesday, so hoping I have it when I get back from work on Tues or it arrives Wed morning.

That's a risky move. What happens if it doesn't get there until Wednesday at 5 or so? Best course of action IMO is take the following day off unless I'm picking it up. Delivery companies aren't dependable :(
 
I'm going to assume (and hope) that shopto did actually post mine yesterday. I have the number for it as it was sent by recorded delivery.

(Which is annoyingly perfectly on time) I want it early like the French.
 
It didn't, we have already seen a post from one of their mods on their forum stating the parcels are being picked up by Royal Mail tomorrow. Everyone has a recorded delivery number as that's put on as part of the packing process.

Bad assumption. On ShopTo's forums a shoptto employee said no copies to Royal Mail until Sunday/Monday (he was a bit circumspect so I think Sunday is unlikely and he effectively was saying Monday).

I got the impression that Tuesday was a likely delivery date.

Yea I think amazon (and shopto) are sadly too efficient - most of us who ordered with them will probably get the game on Wednesday.
