The problem isn't Shop to but the shocking state of the postal service in my area. Recently a couple of DVDs from play.com took over a week to arrive. My first rental from Lovefilm last week failed to arrive. I have even missed important hospital appointments because of the crappy RM. I now have to get the hospital to ring me whenever an appointment is made.Wow, normal first class delivery has always been great for me from ShopTo. Always get it a day (or two) early as well.
F1 2010 got 2 days early
got Black Ops 1 day early
Heres hoping for GT5 at least a day early too
I don't know what really happens to my post. However if my copy of GT5 is being sent recorded delivery it might be less likely to go missing or dare I say stolen.

Good to know, I'm very pleased with Royal Mail so far. I'm from Belgium, and when I get an email from ShopTo that my item has been dispatched (sometimes one hour after placing my order, they are that fast!), I get it usually delivered 2 (working) days later. That's as fast or in many cases, even faster then when I order something from a shop in my own country or neighboring countries. Royal Mail is excellent. đź‘Ť

Recorded is Way Better as you mentioned its less likley to go missing + I think if it did there's at least the Chance of Compensation for the Loss , the only thing with that is I think you have to wait up to 42 Days to get Compensation from Royal Fail
There again most of the www Companies that send stuff out have a waiting period before they'll accept it's lost and send a Replacement
One other thing is , if your not home and the Postie for some stupid reason leaves it with a Neighbour , that can be bad news aswell if your Neighbour doen't get on with you as theres nothing to stop them signing any name they feel like and Denying they recieved it

Im housebound so that won't be a problem. This is why I get so irritated with RM because I rely on online shopping.

Some blockbusters stores (IN the UK) have the bundle on the shelves now and are selling them. While others are reporting there local blockbuster has them instock but is not selling till wednesday.
Not me BTW mines coming from Shopto.

They also stick a card through your letterbox saying what house it was left at, so you could just bang on said neighbour's door and show them the card
I got my ShopTo receipt this morning, so fingers crossed it arrives on Monday with my new TV

Well yesterday play.com sent my PS3+GT5 bundle, by Home Delivery Network, I suspect it will show up on tuesday or wednesday. Which is cool
For me not only am i joining the GT5 community i'm joining the PS3 community too. Being a Xbox / PC user it will be interesting the next couple of weeks.

Rang them Up and The Customer Services said its in Stock and will be Dispatched on Monday....

Massive parcels like that tend to be shipped much differently, wouldn't be surprised if it was sent as a special overnight delivery. I.e I think you should get it Tuesday if sent on monday.

Same at Blockbuster in Fallowfield, Manchester. They have it in stock but would not sell me a copy. The manager phoned a few other stores to check if they are but unfortunately not!

MidianGTX - Shopto have just dispatched my order. I got an email yesterday saying they were processing it. And I've just checked the website today, and it looks as if my order has been dispatched
Looks like I'll be getting it on monday

Yeah I think if you have had the dispatch email you're almost certain for Monday since RM have today and tomorrow to get it to you.
I still haven't had my dispatch yet and my initial order charge was only today so that may stall the dispatch until tomorrow.
Still expect a Monday delivery though.

The stock only arrived at the warehouse at approx 9.30 this morning.
The processing and packing will be running ALL day til somewhere into the evening.
None of the stock will be/has been passed to RM today.
The release date is still Weds 24/11 so irrespective of a store in France selling it, Sony is only today shipping stock to many etailers, so the process of getting the stock in, processing preorders and packing them, means no stock can be passed to RM until Monday at the earliest.
By all means take a trip across the channel if you are that desperate to pick up a copy.
