My GT5 has been dispatched

Gah! posty been and gone no GT5 for me today...now what can I do to pass time till tomorrow, the nerves can hardly cope now it's so close to actually getting the game :lol:

I was upstairs when I heard the thud and in my rush to get downstairs as fast I could I nearly ended up going head first down 14 set staircase and out through a glass window panel....Headlines man dies scrambling downstairs for his copy of GT5 :dopey:

all these people who pre-ordered on Webshops.

To many times now ive had the webshop order being delayed in shipping, the package being held at the postal office before the final shipping to me, the package never arriving (play.com).

F that.. im picking up my copy in person on Wednesday around 13:00 (when i get off work).


Especially using Play.com to preorder.. i shiver just to think about it.

So many times they took so damn long to sent me my order that i would not think twice to NOT pre-order at play.com.

When i order a game after its been out then i would not doubt in using a webshop, but pre-ordering Gran Turismo?.. i want guarantee that i will be playing the game on Wednesday :P

I don't blame you for not checking back here in weeks though.
 
I think orders from GAME wiolbe arriving on Tuesday.
Got my parcelforce tracking number on the email but it isn't working yet so assuming they are ccollecting it today.

Should work later in the day when it is in their system and I should get it tomorrow!!

Now thinking of whether to stay at home and wait for it or not tomorrow hehehe

I did in the hope it comes early if it doesn't, I'm off to the shops first thing wed & shall return the other when it does arrive.

38 here, i grew up with the Beginning of the Video Game Era, i think i/we have as much right to be excited as some 14-15 year old who thinks Gran Turismo 3 is a old school game (just my opinion)

I ordered it last Wednesday and got confirmation of dispatch on Friday. It is installing as I type.
 
Well looks like I wont be using gameplay again.:guilty: When I phoned up to ask why my signature edition hasn't been dispatched yet the customer sales guy tried to tell me the game comes out on Friday. I asked which postal service was being used he just said Parcelforce. I then asked was it the 24 hour service or the 48 hour service he didn't know only that it would be dispatched today or tomorrow and that I should get it on Wednesday. I then explained that Play.com, Shopto, GAME and many others dispatched on Friday to ensure delivery was made on time. I then explained that there is no point in pre ordered 2 months in advance if I could just walk into a high street store and buy it even first even if it was by just a few hours. He was like, what do you expect me to do about it? :dunce:I explained getting it dispatched now might help, and if possible upgrade my postage option, I said I don't care if it costs more. He said he cant do that.👎

Shopto to the rescue. Ordered sat morning with next day delivery, dispatched this morning, here tomorrow they say.:)👍

I think i know where im ordered from next time.

My collectors edition was despatched 11.00 this morning. will recive this afternoon or tomorrow.

I'm 41 and off the charts excited ;)

I am very doubtful i will get a dispatch email today from amazon, my luck is always against me - prob get the game after release lol

Did you guys pay for express delivery? I did
 
Either Amazon UK or members here are not telling the truth.
I have had an email from Amazon UK saying they have only just received the GT5 copies from their supplier.
I have emailed Amazon again to ask if they have not made a mistake.
 
No email from Amazon (UK) here :( Still showing as 'dispatched soon' online which I'm assuming means today sometime so hoping about 70% chance it'll be here tomorrow, 30% Wednesday (I went for the 1st class receive on day of release postage). That's unless the entire postal system is clogged up with small brown packages and jiffy bags from Amazon, Play etc. :)

I just received a mail from Gameseek that my copy has been despatched about 10 mins ago so hopefully it may be with me tommorow if not then hopefully weds.

Afta such a huge long wait all these years it actually feels quite surreal that its actually finally on its way although i wont fully believe it 'til i have it in my hand, exciting times ahead though:tup::D:D

Same here - this has happened with me before me and a friend at work both ordered Battlefield Bad Company 2 from amazon - i paid for express delivery and he never, he got it the day before release and I got mine on release day :(

I'm assuming this is whats happening again
 
Nothing from Amazon UK here. Using Royal Mail receive on day of release option.

I got the Collector's Edition with a Slim PS3 bundle.

I hope it doesn't arrive tomorrow, as I won't be at home to sign for it if it does :(

I have everything I buy online delivered to work as there's always someone here to sign for it..

Would it be considered unethical if any of our students receive their copy in today's post and don't collect it within a reasonable timeframe, for me to 'borrow' the package and swap it for mine when it arrives? :)
