I ordered mine on 21st August. Given that Milo78 has got his already and only ordered it last week, they must be doing them in reverse order!!

No express delivery. At amazon.de they say on the products page:

- If you want it delivered on release day choose "Standard Delivery", so did I.

(free delivery, btw)

I have everything I buy online delivered to work as there's always someone here to sign for it..

Would it be considered unethical if any of our students receive their copy in today's post and don't collect it within a reasonable timeframe, for me to 'borrow' the package and swap it for mine when it arrives? :)

Either Amazon UK or members here are not telling the truth.
I have had an email from Amazon UK saying they have only just received the GT5 copies from their supplier.
I have emailed Amazon again to ask if they have not made a mistake.

I am telling the truth the first licence test is on top gear test track with a blue yaris. It is the break test.

38 here, i grew up with the Beginning of the Video Game Era, i think i/we have as much right to be excited as some 14-15 year old who thinks Gran Turismo 3 is a old school game (just my opinion)

Actually, I totally agree with you. If anything we should be more excited as we can truly appreciate the advances that have been made since we started gaming. I started out with an Oric 1 when I was at school, and my first driving game was 'Pole Position' on my Atari 600XL! It's been a long and very fun journey from there to GT5!
 
Ordered the CE on Amazon UK with the cheapo light pocket free delivery. No word from them yet. However, I also received the e-mail regarding the delay in release date and the new date days after people on here first started reporting it.

No matter, I'm overseas until mid-December so I won't be able to play it! I'd love the peace of mind that its on the way though :)
 
My amazon order has just been updated to show dispatch estimate 23rd, delivery estimate 25th.
I ordered 6th of August and have upgraded first class delivery.
Grrrr i hate them.
They must be doing it in reverse order.
 
I ordered the sig' edition from game. iIt was dispatched yesterday, and is now with parcel force. I entered the tracking code and it said my order is on its way via 24 express delivery, so I guess I'll have it by tomorrow!! woop woop!!!

Same here. But it's also being sold through Target via Amazon. Either way I've got a dispatch warehouse 15 minutes away so I'm not expecting mine until Wednesday.
 
Can Amazon UK customers provide their order numbers who have had dispatched status notification, or even received their copy? I can use it as ammunition against Amazon UK.

I ordered on 19th August with first class delivery and mine's still "Not Yet Dispatched, Delivery estimate: 24 Nov 2010". It seems they're not doing it in any particular order.
 
Got an email today from EB Games (Australia) saying that both my Signature Edition and my PS3 GT5 faceplate have shipped! YAY!!!

All going well I might even receive them on Wednesday - a day before the offical down under release!!! 👍
 
Got my shipped email from shopto earlier too. Just the standard edition.

Does the UK collectors not come with the model car? The US one has it and a few months ago I seen lots of proposed Collectors editions on UK sites showing a model but I can't see a mention of it included on play.com etc.
 
I just got an e-mail back from Amazon (after writing to complain) saying they were waiting to recieve it from their suppliers :grumpy:
