I'm playing mine now, got it from game.co.uk. They always deliver early.

A tip to anyone who is playing it today don't play while singed in to psn or it will take ages to load. It will keep trying to connect you to the servers which ain't up yet.

Yeah they charged me 8 hours ago, still waiting.

Any idea how long Amazon UK got to dispatch it before I miss tomorrows release estimate.
I paid for the piece of mind, super expensive delivery.

Oh yeah, piece of mind:ouch:

You can see why people opt for the geek queue now though can't you! Makes it more likely to have it at 12:01 on release day rather than a day late or whatever that may be.

If they are sent with just plain old royal mail, then it will be straight through the letter box, without need to sign, if it will fit through, unless it is registered / special delivery, which niether Shopto or Play use.

Any other delivery service, HDNL, Parcel Force, generally require someone to sign for it.

I e-mailed parcelforce and got this back....
Dear Jim

Thank you for your email.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the non-delivery of your parcel on the due date and for the inconvenience caused. I can understand how frustrating it can be when you are waiting for an item to be delivered.

I can confirm that the parcel was not dispatched until the 24.11.10 for delivery the next working day; you will need to contact the sender directly for more information.

Once again I do apologise for all the inconvenience caused by this incident.

Are you saying not to do the update either, or do the update and then unplug?

My 320GB Collectors Bundle was dispatched by Amazon UK from their Swansea warehouse at 1pm, using HDNL with live tracking showing it currently in transit. Woohoo!! Also recieved a very polite customer services email with their confidence of it arriving on time on the 24th. Faith in Amazon is restored (pending it getting delivered tomorrow!):D.

its always funny how time can be experienced, a lot of times at work, when i`m swamped with work, it seems that time just flies.

i`l look at the clock and see that its 14:45 or something and i`l go "CRAP!" because i know i`l never be able to finish certain tasks, and when in my head i`l have another hour or so left i`l check the clock and it`l be 16:45..

When i need more time it seems i have less time.

Now theres 57 minutes remaining till i`m done with work, and it feels like every single minute is taking 20 minutes.

No i did the update it was around 133mb, after installing i was sitting at a screen that seemed like forever then a message came up saying couldn,t connect to severs. i pressed ok then watched intro. After intro i was stuck at another screen for a few minutes and i got the same error message. This kept happening so i signed out and haven't had any problems since. Now and then i get a message asking if i want to sign in, i just keep clicking no and its running smoothly.

My U.S. Amazon order is being prepared for shipment. Maybe I will get it today? Doubt it though.

No chance of that happening. Ive ordered through them enough times to know items do not come on ship day. There's too much of a process involved with preparing it for shipping, getting it on a plane, unloading it, doing inventory, getting it on the trucks, etc...

I don't get how it could be delivered the same day when it's in the national hub in Coventry at 1.00PM and not at my local hub.

Yeah, I'd be very very very surprised if they were delivered today. I think Parcel Force's computer is in need of a bug fix.

I'm lucky in that games I order on Amazon 99% of the time ship from a city only an hour away from where I live. But I pretty much agree with you regardless. I would be very surprised if I got it today. There is a lot more involved in shipping out a game to someone then just handing it off the FedEX guy.

Well its gone 15.00hrs here and mine is still with Amazon UK with 'dispatched soon' status yet to update (its been the same since 8.00hrs this morning, Amazon's idea of soon is evidently not the same as mine). I would imagine that I won't be receiving this tomorrow, fingers crossed for Thursday then i suppose. Not very happy, but what can you do? 15.19 update. i take it back just had confirmation of Dispatch, though it is by the home delivery network Ltd who are not great. Oh well fingers crossed for tomorrow!

HDNL will leave it in a safe place for you. Last time they left it in a safe place, the safe place was considered to be "under the tree".

Worst. Couriers. Ever.

Just got this mail from amazon...

I have checked your order #.... and we are still waiting for the following item to be delivered to us by our supplier.

From your email, I can understand that you want your game to be delivered on time.

We still expect to deliver your order by the date listed in Your Account: November 25, 2010.

Once your order is dispatched from our Fulfilment Centre you'll receive an e-mail confirming the date, contents and method of delivery.

Agree! They've left stuff on my door step before, and didn't think that the post box may be on the other door, so assumed I was one of those 'unlucky houses' with no letterbox and slid a card down the side of the door which i found about 5 hours later. Luckily it was still there as our old neighbourhood was shady to say the least.

I never use Amazon they never deliver early. I pre ordered a game a few years ago from them and ended up getting it late, ever since then i have always used Game.co.uk and always get the game 1-2 days early.

:nervous: Similar experience previously, watching them bash about a flatscreen I was getting delivered (no damage, thankfully).

Or the time I wasn't in, and had to collect from their Edinburgh depot (I'm in Stirling) which is on some anonymous uncharted industrial estate in the middle of nowhere.

I'll be sitting under the doorbell to be safe tomrorow, regardless. :D

PHEW!!!!!!!!!!

Worst. Couriers. Ever.

+1, I brought my PS3 through Amazon, way back when.

I remember booking the day off work to receive the package, waited all day, and they never arrived, I phoned them at about 5pm, and they had the cheek to say they'd tried to deliver it, but no one was in!!!, lying bastards!!

I phoned up Game and got told my parcel looks set for delivery tomorrow.

Also got told my Parcelforce tracking code should start working by 6PM GMT tonight.

Well, i got an email from Amazon UK yesterday (early afternoon) to say it had been dispatched by Royal mail 1st class, i have sat waiting while watching GT5 youtube clips all day and nothing has come yet. Every single squeaky brake noise outside, or diesel engine passing has me leaping out of my seat to check, hahaha, but its always a false alarm. I dont expect it to come now, so its looking like tomorrow. Ah well. Im still on for my 24hr playathon this weekend.

I remember waiting for a parcel from HDNL, I saw the delivery van arrive on a side street. Instead of the delivery man knocking on the door, he just ran to the back garden, opened the gate and put it on top of the recycling bin and left in a hurry. It was raining at the time which could explain why he was in a hurry but he never put a delivery note. Good job I was there, otherwise my parcel could have been stolen (Unlikely as I live in a very good area) or been damaged due to it raining heavily.

They must be paid on the amount of parcels they deliver (And a very little amount) to half explain the way HDNL delivery drivers leave parcels.

For the first time on a big game launch. Amazon have delivered early. Mine shipped yesterday and arrived today midmorning! This was with the normal free postal service.
